All was perfect clean, helpful and kind staff ........

Excellent stay! Location was perfect and easy to get from the bus. Arrived from airport came in early and our room was ready.

Accessibility to restaurants, sites & train station was great. Our room had storage for all of our belongings. It was warm in our room since no AC until summer.

The staff are great. They treated us very well. We would definitely like to stay again in the same hotel when in Venice. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

the location was great, we enjoyed breakfast and backyard at night time.

Nice hotel with character near the train station, shops and restaurants. Also close to water taxis and water buses. It was formerly an Abby, and its lobby was the old chapel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It included a small but nice breakfast. One thing to note for those who can't do stairs. There is no elevator. Probably 15 or so stairs. But the staff was right there to take luggage to your room and bring it back down.

Very close to train station yet quiet. Beautiful courtyard!! Staff was very nice, even brought our limoncello down to our stored luggage when we forgot it. Very good breakfast. Bathtub only, no shower. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again for sure!

We were on the third floor and there was no elevator. We had 4 suitcases for 2 of us and 2 of the suitcases were heavy and weighed approximately 50 pounds each (we were on a 20 day vacation and had to pack a lot of clothes). We had a porter take them up and he struggled with the weight of the 2 heavy suitcases. We took them down and we struggled with the weight. I asked the front desk person if the hotel had considered putting in an elevator. He said the hotel had applied to the Venice authorities to install an elevator but the request was declined since the building has historical status. The room was fairly large for a hotel room (a nice feature). The shower was a little funky and could have been a little nicer. The location of the hotel was convenient to the train station (a porter from the train station used a large cart to wheel our luggage to the hotel). The hotel is down a short alley from the main walkway along the grand canal. Overall, we liked this hotel.

I chose this hotel on line for the convenience to the Venice train station. My first impression of the room was that it was a bit shabby, but by the end of my two day stay, that no longer mattered. Be reminded there is no elevator, which I did not notice when booking. Breakfast is excellent, very nice courtyard. Not sure where the air conditioning was, but did not need it in April. Rooms are a bit stuffy. The is a large, comfortable sitting room for groups. I would have preferred individual soap and toiletries and not a communal bottle. Excellent location for the waterbus, and walking to cafes and shops. The neighborhood felt safe and vibrant. The hotel is down a small side street and a bit hard to find. Overall my experience was pleasant. For a short stay, I would recommend it.

Love the location close to train station. The front desk amazing and so helpful. Very good breakfast. We loved the hotel.

Very conveniently located near the train station. The staff was the nicest that we encountered on our 14 day trip all over Italy. We upgraded our room to the superior quad since we travelled with our two daughters - and our room 302 was huge and fantastic. The décor of the entire hotel was beautiful and there were wonderful remnants of the historic building (such as the secret entrance to the pulpit in the main lobby waiting area). The room rate included breakfast that was also the best of the five hotels that we stayed at during our vacation. The staff offered arrange us a boat ride to Murano where we visited a glass factory, we ended up buying a nice investment piece for our home.

Everyone was very helpful. Had rain the one full day we were there and the hotel had umbrellas for us to use. They also recommended a great restaurant.

The same guys have been at the front desk at Abbazia for years. They are multi-lingual and very friendly and helpful. I have stayed there many times, and have never been disappointed. The rooms are always very clean. The lobby is beautiful.
