Nice hotel close to Rialto bridge. We had a very pleasant stay, nice and clean rooms, very friendly staff. It was a bit cold in our room and the the wi fi was spotty. If you go on the top floor the internet is great and there is a terrace with a wonderful view. Nice breakfast.
I LOVED this hotel! I dont have a single bad thing to say. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated. They were clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The view from the rooftop was amazing. When we arrived in Venice, it was around midnight and we tried to walk to the hotel without GPS. We had a little trouble trying to find it, but it actually ended up being nice that it wasnt located directly on one of the busy streets. There were some great restaurants located near by that were also tucked away from the busy street that had excellent food and service.
Stayed 3 nights, water taxi from the airport directly to their door. Room was clean and comfortable. Room 105. Nice bathroom . breakfast was very good with variety of items. Staff was great. Especially Pierluigi. Gave us suggestions for great restaurants. Oh yeah, the rooftop area was lovely. Out the door and left abt 70 yards is a coop grocery store, and a fruit /veg stand just beyond that. You are in residential area. Get out in the early day to enjoy it. Go 150 yards the other way and you're in touristy area. Close to Vaparetto stop.
Hotel very pretty in the interior. Beds are hard and not comfortable. Pillows too small. All other is very good. Continental breakfast is ok, good choice of protein to start the day.
This was a great hotel with a stunning view of a quiet canal. It is close to everything you want to see and the breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again as well as recommend it to a friend!
overall good. location is not too far away from the dock and on the middle spot of venetian boat trip. clean, comfortable and kind aception. will consider next time again.
The hotel provided a good value for a stay in Venice. It is a bit removed from the most touristy areas but those are reachable in a 30 minute walk. It has a neat rooftop garden where you can relax and see a lot of the city.
The hotel is in a quaint get away area and is nicely decorated. The staff was very nice and carried our luggage since the elevator was broken. We looked forward to breakfast with the fresh fruit and ricotta filled croissants. I left my iPad and they are mailing it to me.
Ca d'Oro is a very decent hotel in Venice. The staff was helpful and the location was great, right near a lot of shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was also very good each morning. The down sides were that the room we stayed in overlooks the courtyard, not the water as we had anticipated. Also, the elevator was broken all 3 days we were there, which meant we had to carry our bags up and down the steep stairs, which was quite difficult. The roof terrace is beautiful, but a pain to get to without an elevator. The room is quite small, especially the shower which is tiny, but otherwise the hotel has nice charm.
Good breakfast, small but nicely furnished room, and friendly staff. Only big complaint was the elevator was down for maintence so I had to carry my bags down 4 long flights of stairs.
Great location, clean and beautiful room. Elevator (a real plus in venice! I would definitely return to Ca' d'oro.
I recommend this hotel. It is in a great location, only 15 minute walk from the train station. The room is small, but clean.
