Not what we had hoped for

The location was great for seeing the prime parts of San Marco. Loved that about it. The apartment was as described, but the elevator was not working most of the time we were there. (This was a major reason we chose the apartment.) Getting luggage - and a person with limited mobility - up and down 67 stairs was horrible, and a real drain from the other loveliness of San Marco. Also, the lights in the stairwell did not stay on long enough for us to ascend and descend safely. If you have mobility issues, I would not recommend risking it. And unfortunately the street was VERY noisy until at least 2 a.m. And the morning noise began again by 7 a.m. The bedroom with the two twins was so loud I could not sleep. The bedroom with the queen was much quieter.
