Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver

It took us 1 HR to get into our room because the door key didn't work in first 4 attempts.

The hotel was GREAT. The only thing that was better then the hotel was the staff. They were extremely attentive and very professional. Our total experience was fantastic.

The Shangri La hotel is a very nice facility that is new and well maintained. The hotel manager, concierge, and staff are very friendly and helpful, and a delight in all respects. The location is very good, but is on a busy street that has traffic all hours of the day, and some road noise was noticeable on the 14th floor. The restaurant is excellent. Major downtown attractons are within easy walking distance.

I recently stayed at the Shangri-La and had a great experience there. The hotel is very modern and the bathrooms are amazing (TV built into the bathroom mirror). The location of the hotel is great. You can easily walk to most of the major sections of downtown. The concierge was also very friendly and helpful. She gave us a whole list of things to do on the first day. Also, we told the hotel in advance that I would be coming for my anniversary. When we came back the first night, they left us with an amazing desert. The one complaint that I did have is that the remote for the TV in the bedroom never worked quite right.

The stay was lovely! There was an issue at check-in (they double booked) but the manager ended up taking care of everything within 15 minutes. I found the beds to be too soft (no enough support and my back hurt in the morning - but it was just me who experienced that). The amenities are to die for - it's a combination of zen, sophistication and fabulous! It's a tough call because there are other gorgeous hotels in Vancouver (this probably wouldn't be my first place to recommend to a friend). I enjoy modern decor and I found that the furniture at the Shangri-La resembled my grandparents furniture.

Not only was the hotel an awesome place to stay, the walkability is superb too. We literally parked the car and walked everywhere. The hotel limousine took us to dinner at Espana (great tapas) and we walked back after an excellent meal.

Was great location and very high quality clean rooms

The bed was great, and the bathroom nice, big, clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. But the entry was in the basement, and the lobby on the first floor-- so NO curb appeal AT ALL. The lobby was small and had out dated weird candelabras. The room was tiny. All in all, disappointing for a Shangri-La hotel!!!

We stayed at the Shangri-la following the RSVP bike ride from Seattle to Vancouver. It was fantastic. We went straight to the pool and hot tub, and enjoyed the steam room and sauna. Quiet private rooms. Concierge recommended delicious sushi around the corner. Great location. Best place I've ever stayed in Vancouver.

The staff was great. They went out of there way to help us in any way. We were going to a concert the first night and asked for a cab. They provided us a ride with the hotel mercedes just as a treat. Great guys. The beds and pillows and comforter were out of this world. The food in the dining area was really great. Having the Urban Fare so close was a plus because our family lives in the residence part of the Hotel. All in All the Hotel was a fabulous place to stay

Love the location and absolute comfort of this hotel. The rooms are pure luxury and the staff is perfect. I will stay here again.

Shangri-La is probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in anywhere in the world. Staff are extraordinary in every way. The best hotel choice in Vancouver by far.

The service and amenities at Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver were impeccable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly-the best that I have experienced. My stay far surpassed my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

Everything you wanted it's in Shangrila. I really enjoyed my stay and what makes it better? The awesome hotel rates!

Located a short walk from the business district, restaurants and cafes, I enjoy the Shangri La. The rooms are typically nice, but I've had some issues that I believe could have been handled better had the staff been more proactive. In my opinion, it's a four star hotel with three star service.

Shangri La exceeded my expectations, first we were upgraded to executive room with huge balcony, shortly after we got to room we were greeted by special fruit basket from the stuff. Room has all gadgets you can imagine, espresso machine, automatic lighting and drape close. I couldn't resist beautiful smell you can feel in the hotel, they call it Shangri La scent and concierge explained, that that smell is used in all Shangri La hotels, so you feel home every time you step in. I truly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was very nice and clean! The location was right near the action on Robson but also close to Gastown and other sights. The concierge staff was the best that I have experienced in a long time. The only down side was that the hotel restaurant was a little bit expensive for the quality - I would recommend checking out some of the other eateries right around the hotel.

Extraordinary experience in a wonderful city. i would recommend it highly.

Vancouver is an awsome city and this hotel is a great place to stay!

Great service and friendly staff. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Excellent location for restaurants, shopping, and recreation.
