Room was OK. There's something off about this place, though. Staff is surly and reception never answers the phone. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was a "mark" as con artists say. I think it's a management problem -- their attitude seems to be to protect the hotel from the guests rather than serve them. I know that's vague, but it's the feeling I had the whole time. If you're there for the downtown Vancouver experience, spend the extra money and stay downtown. There's a large unsavory neighborhood between this hotel and downtown Vancouver. All in all, not worth the money I saved.

Everything was good. Only complaint is the breakfast. They didn’t have syrup for over 3 days, no sugar for coffee the same over 3 days, they have only 1 very old oven to toast everything and it’s horrible you must have your bread, bagels or waffles pass 3 times to get the cold off and than you have over 30+ people waiting to use it. The location is good. Was able to do lots of hikes. Even the ones I had to drive 2-3hrs away. But like i said the breakfast needs lots of improvement and better inventory.

Last stayed 14 mths ago. Major changes since then. Excellent service. Room was spotless. Complementary breakfast a major upgrade as to facilities, food quality and choices. Loved the living wall. We had a small problrm with the heating system late evening. Attened to and solved instantly. All the staff were courtious and helpful.

Wonderful staff. The room and beds were very very comfortable. Climate control was very comfortable. Dining was very convenient and enjoyed the breakfast buffet very much.

The room is spacious and clean. I particularly find comfort in the bed and pillows. Typical continential breakfast, but the dining area is one of the best of all the hotels i have stayed in many years. Thank you.

We have stayed here many times and the staff are always super friendly and the facility clean. It is fairly close to everything (we had to access VGH, 20 min, N. Van, 10 min). Would definitely recommend!

The room is OK but it’s a bit outdated. The staff are nice. But the bed frame is not safe. I bumped my legs on the sides of the frame too many times. Though it has safety guards, it’s still too hard and will easily get bruised up when you bump your legs. Also, the water pressure is low. It took us a long time to finish showering. The surrounding area is kinda not safe. We heard the police cars outside too many times. The breakfast is good and the room can accommodate 6 people.

My parents stayed at this hotel because it is close to my home. It is a simple older hotel. Clean and with nice staff. The neighbourhood is great to live in but the hotel is on a very loud and busy street corner with lots of traffic. Good location for PNE. Easy transit to downtown but you will pass through the poorest neighborhood in Canada - which is not particularly safe or pleasant. Breakfast was included and my parents enjoyed it. Simple and fine hotel.

The hotel is very convenient for cruise ship travellers and offers a free shuffle to the port. A very good breakfast. Room was very clean and staff helpful. There are few good dinning options close to the hotel but a good choice of Tim Hortons.....
