This hotel had a book of Arab artists on the coffee table. I found that tolerable until I looked closer that about 1/3 was Iranian artists. I resent support for people in a country that has vowed to kill all infidels, Canadians as well as US citizens.

Extremely nice, kind and caring personnel. Great location. Highly recommended.

We had the best experience here during our one night stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff is so attentive. From the moment we walked in we were treated so friendly. The hotel manager gave my 2 year old son a stuffed lamb which he loved! We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite and provided with a complementary breakfast. The staff in the lounge was also amazing. Concierge was so helpful in planning dinner and activities. The hotel is centrally located. Plus it is right next door to Medina cafe. Highly highly recommend L'hermitage. I hope to come back in the summer and use the pool!

If you enjoy professional friendly service, luxurious furnishings, and be treated like a king, this is your place.

This is a really nice hotel with great staff and is easy walking distance to everything downtown has to offer. We had a really nice room with plenty of light. There is some city/street noise but it wasn't that bad for a city location. It is good to note that the lounge are in the hotel closes at 10 PM (while we were there). So no late night drinks before heading up to your room unless you go somewhere else close by.

The hotel was amazing. We stayed in a suite, it was absolutely fabulous. There was nothing we could've needed that wasn't already provided in the room. The staff was very attentive. This is the place we will always stay when we are in Vancouver. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We stayed in Vancouver one night on our way back from Whistler and were very pleased with L'Hermitage. The location was great. We could walk to anywhere we wanted to go. Front desk staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. They offered restaurant recommendations and gave us an umbrella to use while we were out checking out town. Prior to our stay I had mentioned to the concierge that we were staying there on the tail end of our honeymoon. When we returned to the room after checking out Gastown, there was a box of chocolates and a note congratulating us on our wedding. A very nice touch.

Great location right in the middle of the entertainment district with the best service I've had in a long time. A pleasure from start to finish, staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. My only complaint is the amount of noise I could hear coming from the hall, which made me wonder if other people could hear us too.

Recommend for location, very helpful staff and comfortable rooms.

Such friendly staff in a great location. They remembered our names every time we came in. They even gave our 8 month old son a small stuffed animal to keep him company on our walks. Would absolutely recommend to our friends to stay here.

Best hotel I've ever stayed in! Every single staff member kind and helpful and accommodations top notch!

Extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff. The room was excellent: spacious and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Vancouver. Highly recommended.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the entire front office staff. They made us feel welcome. When they found that it was my birthday, we were upgraded to a suite. All of the staff including housekeeping were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a very positive experience.

We stayed at L'Hermitage Hotel on a brief trip through Vancouver. The room had a nice seating area with a couch and fireplace, as well as a nice outdoor patio which would have been nice in the summer. The bathroom was well appointed however on the morning of our departure there was no running water in the hotel. We called the front desk and no explanation or solution was offered up. Nothing. We had to check out of the hotel without taking a shower and subsequently travel 8 hours. What was most problematic was not the lack of water but the lack of concern from the staff and their inability to provide a solution. Nothing was offered to us given this inconvenience even after complaining to the the hotel's management. Completely unacceptable.

This was our first trip to Vancouver and I was looking for a smaller, boutique type hotel with great service and comfortable rooms. The hotel far exceeded my expectations. Even though we checked in early, we received exemplary service from the get go. The concierge, Jason was so helpful and professional by greeting us on arrival, took our bags, checked us in and patiently provided information on the nearby attractions and restaurants. I had a problem with my booking and he didn't hesitate to assist me in resolving the problem right away. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and classy. The construction across the street didn't bother us at all. The lounge area quiet and peaceful. The whole staff were personable, friendly and professional. Overall, it was everything we wanted in a hotel to celebrate our 50th and 35th wedding anniversaries. Great reflection on the hotel management!

Excellent, friendly service. We are greeted each time we enter or leave the hotel. When we asked for more tea, the front desk person called immediately and the tea was delivered within 5 minutes. The room was a bit small, but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, modern, and spacious. The pool and gym were excellent. There were free weights and plenty of bikes and treadmills. The business center was comfortable with a printer and library.

We had a room with a huge outside deck space, as well as a separate sitting room. Really comfortable for 5 days. The staff is superb and very friendly. Will definitely be back.

This place, the staff and location were great. It is a few blocks from the stadium and waterfront. My only complaints were the construction across the street which was a little loud and an eye sore and the fact that we you are not able to enjoy wine not purchased at the hotel in the patio/pool area. We would definitely stay there again.

Location was great. Couldn't beat the price either. Would definitly stay here again.

This is our favorite hotel in Vancouver. Highly recommended.
