Pros: friendly and accommodating staff, clean room Cons: very loud plumbing, thin walls, tiny whirlpool tub
Loved the water slide and that the hotel was so close to all amenities. The lemin water upon arrival was a nice touch too. I do want to point out that the beds felt old and were not very comfortable.
The hotel was nice with very helpful friendly staff. The major problem was lack of sound insulation, we could literally hear everyone walking and talking in the hallway as if they were in our room. We could not sleep at all 1st night, the second and third nights were tolerable because there were not as many people talking in the hallway at night. The other disappointing experience was when tech came to our room to fix broken heat, he pulled a someones bra from under ac/heat unit and asked if it was ours. It was not. Other that that room seemed clean. The bottom line. If it was not for sound insulation issue, the stay would have deserved a minimum of 4 stars.
Very friendly staff, enjoyed our stay. Will use this hotel when we are in the area again
Very helpful, easy access and friendly staff. I like the location.
pretty much what I expected. I felt I got good value for the price!
Rude staff. Super cold room. The temperature wouldn't even go higher than 25 degrees, which in a cold day in Toronto is not enough specially if there is hardwood floor, but they didn't care. Wouldn't accept US dollars, as what they told me.
My trip was booked and paid on Orbitz, a 6 night stay. Unbeknownst to me my credit card had a hold on it after arriving in Canada due to fraud suspicions. After ordering room service diner on the second night of my stay, (tough chewy steak) the room sever informed me my cc transaction did not process. I was summonsed to the front desk where I tried to explain that I needed to contact my bank first thing in the morning, (it was 7pm) to rectify the situation. Also I was not checking out for another 5 nights. The "manager" was rude and demeaning to me. Not only did he refuse to understand but carried on this moronic dialect in front of a half dozen employees and guests. After making me sit and wait in the lobby while he called his superior to instruct me that I had until noon the following day to "settle-up". Of course it took a five minute phone call to have my card activated. My fault for not informing them I was traveling. Lesson learned. I was able to return at noon from my business meeting in time to call off the staff from Hell. After I returned at the end of the day I noticed my food tray from the previous night, 24 hours ago was still next to my door. Smelly and disgusting! I had to go to the front desk and remind them to remove it. The last day of my stay...another manager approached me and asked me if I was interested in a free breakfast to make me "feel better". No thank you! Plus the last two night youth hockey kids running up and down the halls until 11pm.
The staff were friendly and our room was very clean. I loved the non-carpeted floors in the room! WheneverI had any questions, the front desk staff were very helpful.
