We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. An amazing view of the Zocalo and even more amazing staff. They treated us very well. Only down side was that the hotel had no AC due to it being 300 yrs old and the goverment does not allow them. We recieved a fan.

Tanks to the reception person they give me one of the bests rooms they reserved Junior suite # 405. The best views to Palacio Nacional & Cathedral metropolitana

I was pleasantly surprised having read some less than positive reviews. Efficient check-in, friendly staff, comfortable and clean room together with the perfect location, historic building and splendid views ( Zócalo view comes with traffic noise starting around 6 am especially on lower floors, but it's amazingly quiet when the work day is done) mean this is a great choice for the price.

The best wiew to palace national n/ cathedral of cdmx

It Was great location but hotel was old looking and staff were very helpful.

nice view from room, but too noisy(specially in concert time) and no security at door balcony. bathroom most of the time smell terrible and sometimes lobby too, old safety box. the building is beautiful but needs some work to preserve its construction; close to everything, food, metro, buses, museums.

The area is very noisy even at night. The area of the city is fine we felt safe at all times. Very centrally located to go anywhere you want to go.

There is no spring box under the mattress, and the mattress is the cheapest, hardest I have ever seen. The bed was very small, also. Carpet, the cheapest and 5 yrs old. The bathroom was not redone in 30 years... One elevator for the entire hotel, I almost never came. Staff was nice,

The staff was great! Hotel is in a good location. The hotel needs updating. This hotel is just beautiful and old. Could use newer furniture, better floors and the bathrooms need updating.

good for one day no parking very old and not maintained well

The hotel has a great location stuff and service desk awesome job. The rooms are clean and great view . Needs update but for the money you pay it's good. If you want luxury this is not the place . You pay for what you get. I will stay again and will recommend it . Had a great time and the hotel was right their in the heart of DF.

Definitely would return to the hotel, we went as a family and found an old hotel very safe , very nice and clean, very good service in a super central place and above.

I was very excited to stay there due to its location and the photos online. While the common areas are nice, the rooms are not in very good shape. However, the worst aspect of this hotel, by far for me, was the quality of the service.

the hotel is located in the center very much near the church and shopping centers. dining is not a problem because there are lots of dining shops in the area. there isn't much amenities, free wifi and not too fast is located in the lobby. good service.

Great location! The hotel is located right in the heart of downtown. It is a short walk to the metro which gets you anywhere in the city.

This Best Western was the single most disgusting hotel room I've ever seen in my life. Was fithly and vile. Grossly misrepresented as 3 start hotel. 1 star would be overly generous, this hotel should be condemned.

La ciudad estaba llena y encontre en este hotel. Frente a Zocalo. Excelente vista, en el centro de la ciudad

Nestled just off of the Zocalo in Mexico City this VERY charming 1936 vintage Hotel offered a warm welcome and comforts. The staff, from start to finish demonstrated charm and ease to insure my visit was as close to perfect as possible. The rooftop Restaurant offers a full menu (room service also) with a fantastic panoramic view of the famous Zocalo. Tour buses for the city meet one block away, PRIME shopping for Fashion (both Men & Women) jewelry just steps from the Hotel Majestic lobby. Lovely tile works and marble accent the architecture with considerable woodwork of native wood finishes the details add to the atmosphere. Rooms are relatively large and very clean. Large Bathrooms with all the modern comforts. Visiting this exciting and busy (not to mention HUGE) city, The Majestic is a welcoming resting place. Dining on the rooftop restaurant after a long days wandering or touring is a perfect way to enjoy Mexico City and it's surrounding environs. Tours can be readily booked with the front desk concierge, who will also arrange for local Taxie service and often provide directions to a particular location. If I am ever so fortunate to revisit Mexico City, the Majestic will be my hotel of first choice. I highly recommend The Majestic. Reasonable rates for first class. I am a senior single woman and felt safe and comfortable in this place. Also I note that many younger people found this hotel a charming place to stay.

Nice clean hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Exceed my expectations.

This hotel could be wonderful. It is well located and has many authentic architectural features. But it hasn't been undated in a long time. The tv offered few channels, and none in English. The mattress was hard. Bedspread had a cigarette burn, there was no place to plug in the coffee pot except to balance it on a narrow shelf in the bathroom. No wash cloth, towels were thin. In the morning 4 maids had a long chat in the hall which made it easy to be disturbed in the room. The lighting. . . ancient fixtures without shades. A lamp that had a clip-on shade that was inappropriate for the spiral bulb, and the shade had a burn mark on it. Only 1 nightstand. I had to ask for help from the desk clerk to lift my heavy suitcase to the level of the elevator.
