First time in Japan, Tokyo. Narita to Excel Hotel.....Limousine Bus stops at the Hotel, costs you around 30 euro, but money well spent. No wandering around with your luggage and looking for your hotel. And trust me, not easy when you're first time in Tokyo. I got there 1 hour before check in time ( 14:00 ), was told my room is ready, but had to wait till 14:00. Ok. Very polite staff, apologized and thanked me for waiting. Rules, I guess. Hotel is from 5th floor ( front desk ) up to 25th. Got a room at 17th floor. Loved it. It was just me, so I was OK with the size of the room. I think it was pretty big. Big bed, loved pillows and views to die for ! Some people here don't like size of the bathroom....I had no problem with it at all, small but hey.... in and out right ? Breakfast is on 25th floor and I loved it. You have a choice ...western or Japanese buffet. And if you're a smoker....get a cup of coffee to go and go to 6th floor....there is a smoking area. And they are 4 lifts and 2 of them got brilliant view of Shibuya crossing.....and every floor actually.

The hotel itself is nothing special. It's "okay" and clean and the staff is kind etc. The reason you should choose for this hotel is because of the location. If you want to stay in Shibuya, then this is a great place. From there you walk right to all the nice streets and parts of Shibuya. We always like it when you don't need to take the taxi all the time, when you can walk right from your hotel to all the nice parts. Ofcourse Tokyo is big, so when we visited the district Marunouchi we stayed in another hotel (Four Seasons) to be able to explore that part, also as much as possible on foot. But Shibuya is such an interesting part, so if you visit Tokyo you should explore Shibuya and this hotel is in the best location of the district Shibuya :-)

We had booked a quad room but when we got there we were upgrated to two interconnecting rooms on a very high floor (25?), which was great, since there were 5 of us. The 3 kids had one room and we had the other. Nice to have two bathrooms. Great view of the Shibuya Crossing from the lift and we had a nice coffee and cake in the lobby (see pic). It was very handy being about Mark City shopping mall and the train station. The only thing I would say wasn't great was the western breakfast on the top floor. Just not quite right. Perhaps they need a westerner working on the menu.

Terribly small sofocating rooms, they where also very old and rundown. Also not so clean our sheets had some type of stains as shown in the picture. For the cost of the hotel you can find much better options.

this is our first time stay in Tokyo for 5 days, we were worry about the transportation on arrival, the taxi from airport was quite expensive for us, so we book the limo bus and surprise it make the second stop at our Hotel also they have bus go to both airport in tokyo, it is a plus for the convenient ,the front desk check in was ok with smiles but I feel a bit of odd , I feel it more likely a robot type of welcome it seem lack of the nature smile i was getting from other country in the area like Vietnam, Hongkong, Taiwan.... the location of the Hotel was convenient , it is walking distance the subway and lot shopping and small restaurant around ,

This was our first time in Tokyo and we were surprised by how big the room was. The view of Shibuya crossing was excellent and you could watch the crowds of people moving around for hours. The location is excellent being within walking distance of major shopping areas and an endless amount of restaurants. The added bonus is having the subway station right at the hotel . We would recommend getting the Limo bus from the airport as this is not expensive and drops you at the front door of the hotel so totally hassle free. Hotel service was excellent and rooms were very clean and comfortable. We would definitely go back again.

Located over Shibuya station it is quite comfortable. Rooms are not so big but OK for Tokyo standard. Moquette on the floor looks a bit old and make me feel not too much clean. Service is good even if their english is not the best. I was on higher floor and it was very quite despite railways is just under the hotel and famous Shibuya crossing is very close. Internet connection was quite bad

Large rooms, in Japanese Tokyo standards. Quite comfortable, nice, clean hotel. The bus for the airport goes from there so it's very convenient. There's a smoking area on floor 6 so you don't have to go outside to smoke. The room came with a mobile phone which has unlimited data and you can take around with you and use as a hotspot as well which is super convenient when navigating Tokyo - bonus points for that!

The location itself, looking over Shibuya crossing, is obviously great. For the hotel itself: yes, it doesn't have the plushest bed, the biggest room, the fanciest newest anything, but I found it perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable and would certainly return and recommend. I have been lucky to stay at quite high-end hotels (Andaz, Palace) in Tokyo and yes, they are infinitely better (no surprise there, Sherlock) but also a LOT more expensive. So the key question is: for Tokyo, is this decent value for money, and is it a pleasant, workable hotel with a room that doesn't feel like a closet. In my opinion (and my much pickier wife's), the answer is yes. The breakfast at the top floor was nice, with a great view of the city. Will likely come back.

The location is really unbeatable. You go down and after a few meters, you're at the scramble. Walking distance to everything downtown Shibuya has to offer. I specially like that's its very near Mega Don K. The hotel rooms are small which makes it difficult for travelers with big luggage. The toilet and bath is clean but old. Service is prompt and good. This hotel may be a bit hard to find because it is at the 5th floor of the building and access are small glass doors that open to elevators of the hotel. There's a train station connected to the building where the hotel is so that's a good thing. I may stay here again.
