Very good location since it is right next to the Osaki station. There are a lot if restaurants, a supermarket, and shops right next to the hotel. Our room on 12 th floors is very clean and big. The staff are very helpful. The staff gave maps and showed uswhat trains and subways to take for sightseeing places and helped us with the transferring our luggages to our next hotel in Kyoto.
I stayed at this business hotel for a few days at the beginning of May and I thought I wrote a review when I was at the airport waiting for my flight to return home. By chance I realize the review for some reason did not send out. So here it is again. The hotel was recommended by a Tokyo friend and I booked online. When I was traveling frequently in my past life, I had stayed at the New Otani Hotel near Akasaka Mitsuke and in Osaka many times and was very happy with it. I had no hesitation trying its small business outlet because the trip was for a re-union. The hotel is very conveniently located outside of the Osaki Station on the Yamanote Line, connected by a covered walkway. The hotel is one of a cluster of 3 or 4 building forming the New Oosaki New City. The entrance and lobby were typical for a business hotel, but the restaurant was full-size and full-service. The breakfast was very good. The adjacent building had 2 floors of shops and restaurants. My previous Japanese colleagues enjoyed eating there more than once. The Yamanote Line took me to everywhere I wanted to go in Tokyo, including the airport. What surprised me most was the very reasonable room rate. I shall definitely return and tell my friends to try (especially when they have to spend their own money). Yes, New Otani is a brand one can trust.
This Hotel is located near a JR train station (keep in mind that Tokyo has 2 different train companies, Japan Rail and Tokyo Metro) which is very convenient. We didn’t try the food at the hotel, but you can find breakfast (I strongly recommend to visit choco cro, at ground floor outside hotel) lunch and dinner at walking distance. You can find a convenience store as well. Rooms are really small, so keep that in mind even for your luggage size because you may not have space to walk inside!. Bathrooms are small but very clean. Try to ask if you will be accommodated in a renewed room, otherwise choose another place to stay. Staff was very kind despite they do not speak too much English. We went to Osaka for a few days and returned to the hotel, which was very kind storing our luggage, and our cash in a safe deposit box.
Very comfortable hotel. Reasonably priced Tokyo standard. Most impressive of all was the concierge desk. Exclusively manned by female staff all of whom were excellent and thorough. Every request and query was followed through diligently and answers delivered to the room! Special thank you to Mami
Cramped, rough round the edges, awful breakfast buffet and not particularly welcoming. Will not stay again. Convenience and access to the subway is the ONLY thing it has going for it! I'd avoid it if you can.
Located very near with osaki Station, this hotel can be easily access from JR lines. Even they have a small elevator to help you access 5 stairs if you brought heavy luggages. watson 24 hours just nearby, also subway and burger king if you just need grab a fast food. The room was small in my opinion, but they can help you to keep the luggage in the concierge after check out or before check in. But the clean of the property was good.
Very close to train station, you will not wet to go to hotel from station. Room is very clean and cozy. Ammenity's are good as well. You could also find the shopping center under nice of hotel. You can also good restaurant nearby with reasonable price. Anywhere you want to go from here is so easy by train, runs every 3minutes,.
If you're traveling on business to Tokyo, this is a great option; is not only affordable (for Tokyo standards...) but absolutely clean, cozy and comfortable. The restaurant has good options, for instance at breakfast they offer regular western meals, but also Japanese alternatives.
A big hotel - you can get lost. Lacks character and is in dire need of modernization and 'life'. Very expensive restaurants. Terribly disappointed with lack of flexibility of 'late check out' - were going to charge a half day rate if I checked out half an hour late. And DID charge a FULL day rate for checking in early despite room being available. Will avoid stating here next time.
We stayed for one night in January 2017. The room was renovated and looked 80% like the photos provided by management (with only additional minor dents and scratches here and there). It's of a good size by Japanese standard -- at least we can open two 26-inch suitcases flat on the floor with still enough room to move around. The carpet was quite filthy though -- I put a shopping bag on the carpet to find quite a few hair, some short and curly, sticking to its bottom. Housekeeping didn't really vacuum the room very well. The bathroom is standard prefab type and it's slightly bigger than those in Toyoko inn (of course a different price range). The hotel is just 2 mins walk to the Osaki JR station, which is 10 to 15 minutes to Shibuya, Tokyo, Ueno station. The breakfast wasn't bad either, with freshly made pancakes and a good choice of Japanese fare. There is even a Toyota rental car office right next to the hotel lobby for those who need to venture beyond the capital. Contrary to what some other reviewer experienced, the service was always on par with other business hotels, with good-enough English spoken, albeit not warm and passionate like 5-star hotels. The newly renovated twin room we had was non-smoking and it comes with a humidifier, which is essential for the heated ventilation system in winter... the amenities look very posh and smell good too. I would recommend this business hotel to anyone staying in Tokyo.
