The rooms and amenities are delightful and the location only a mile and a half from the Ginza district makes this very convenient. Restaurants in the hotel are excellent and the concierge service is superb. The views from higher floors are spectacular and on occasion one can see Mt. Fuji.
Big sized rooms, excellent service. Good view , english is widely spoken by all staffs. Busines center small and not convenient u need to go all the way down to level 3, Internet browser in Japanese. Over all hotel is value for money
Our 1st trip to Japan and 1st hotel. Very impressed with everything. Check on was at 38th floor with a lovely view. Pleasantly surprised when everyone including house keeping spoke perfect English. It is located a short distance( taxi or train) from Ginza.
We had a recent outstanding stay at the MO Tokyo, and rate it as our best experience in Japan (and we’ve stayed in some of the finest in the country). Several exceptional instances include: • The room service team was extremely accommodating, customizing the menu to our needs and preferences. All of our orders were delivered fresh and hot, and always with a smile. Dining in was such a treat that despite the great temptations outside the hotel, we were often contented with dining in the comforts of our suite. • The staff and cuisine at K’shiki are exceptional. We hosted a dinner one night and could not have asked for better service and attention (despite having restless children at the table). The pizza was one of the best that I have ever tasted – better than even the “original” in Italy (and New York!). Breakfast was served efficiently and again our off-menu requests were accommodated without any fuss. The vibe was casual but the service and food were up there with the best establishments. • We were extremely thrilled with the special treats that we received everyday – be it a carefully curated souvenir from the local craftsmen or a creatively concocted dessert for the children (a pizza made of fruit, tic-tac-toe game made of cookies and chocolate, fruit parfait made to resemble a dolphin … what works of art!). This really goes a long way towards providing us with a personal and unforgettable experience – and not just another run-of-the-mill “5-star hotel stay”. In this day of customized luxury, I must compliment you for being ahead of the game. • Finally, I'd like to compliment the senior team for taking such a hands-on approach to managing the property. We met the director and assistant director of rooms, assistant director of F&B, restaurant manager also had the privilege of meeting the GM during our brief stay. The attention to detail and lead-from-the-front ethos shone through and go a long way to explain why in my opinion this is one of the best “home away from home” that one can experience. This stay has definitely cemented my faith of and loyalty to the MO brand, and unfortunately I will now measure all other hotels against this very high benchmark which means a high probability of disappointment! I remain a Fan – and even more so now, and look forward to my next visit!
well excellent mandarin oriental (my first one )but take care of booking at the japanese restaurant for only 8 people that costed us 250 dollars the meal! They have also a french restaurant ,a tapas one (spanish) and an italian more casual. All very good food. Beautiful reception on ground floor and also on 30th floor where you can see mount fuji in the distance. What a hotel! Very modern but still very japanese!
Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, has one of the best views of Tokyo. It's worth spending at least one night here. Front desk, restaurants, bars and overall the elegant and comfortable Rooms offer some of the best views of Tokyo. Rooms are big and very comfortable, with amazing bathrooms. Accommodating staff and service -Great and well-priced breakfast, both: oriental & occidental options. Excellent spa/sauna access in the morning with incredible views. Mitkusoshimae subway station is in the basement of the hotel. As in all Japan, the best of the Mandarin Oriental is its people! The staff is incredible! Japan is a beautiful country, Tokyo is an amazing city, and the best place to stay is the Mandarin Oriental! We loved it and it made our vacation.
Visited MOTYO on a Family trip recently - and there is not much to complain about. Perfect atmosphere, spacious rooms, all possible amenities, wonderful spa and spa Team sums up to perfect Japanese Hospitality. Buffet breakfast could be a little bit larger (more fruits, more breads) but in fact it is just a outstanding hotel.
It was not our first visit to Tokyo but our first time staying at the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo. This hotel is by far the most excellent hotel we have ever stayed at in Tokyo. From the arrival experience to the quality of the room and amenities we could find no fault. The staff at every turn were warm, polite and always accommodating. It was also comforting for us that everyone working in the hotel spoke English fluently. Special shout out to the entire concierge team that helped us plan our visit seamlessly, to Kai Jansen for noticing that I was not well in the morning during breakfast and had deconstructed ginger tea sent to me and to Yue Yamasa for making our evening cocktails at Mandarin Bar ever so enjoyable!
The Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo is a superb hotel with superior service and a room with a view. Its one of the few hotels in Tokyo that offers a free fitness club. The bar is awesome and allows for an easy after dinner experience
2N stay... A charity bid package First I want to thank MO Tokyo for making the arrangement to extend the validity of the charity coupon and was still able to serve us when I left the coupon at home. Pro: - Fantastic room. I liked it better than Peninsula Tokyo - Top quality furnishing and well maintained - Brilliant service. Hats off to Ms. Miu who was excellent - Great food at The Sense Cons: - Nothing but I guess if I had to name one, I prefer Peninsula's location Overall, top hotel! Well done... Slightly sad that my charity bid was by far more expensive than booking direct but all in the name of charity...
