The room is small but clean. It had a microwave and washer/dryer in the room so very convenient. It’s near various entrances/exits of Ikebukuro Station. Overall I’d stay here again.

Great being so close to a Yamamoto line stop so that the rest of Tokyo was easily accessible. However be warned that there does seem to be quite a few strippers on the block. Other than that the room was nice and clean but fairly small, and the staff were super helpful and lovely.

This is my idea of a very basic needs hotel, but perfect for a short stay at a very reasonable cost. Free coffee/tea in the lobby from 7: to 23:00. Only a 5 minute walk to Ikebukuro Station West entrance. Would definitely stay here again.

Lobby and resting area is new and lot space. Free filter drinkable water and coffee machine for guests. That’s so good. However, our room quite small for 2 adults even we booked a room with little kitchen. Hotel location is perfect in Ikebukuro. Overall also highly recommended:)

I loved this hotel! Everything about it was clean and inviting! The things that stand out the most as different from other hotels is that it feels like a small apartment. It has a washer/dryer, a refrigerator with a freezer, microwave, and dishes. It was a short walk from the train station so it was very convenient. I would stay here again.

I had the most enjoyed my 13 nights at Tokyu Stay-Ilebukuro. It was conveniently located near the Ilebukuro Train station; walking distance to Sunshine City, and Tobu,Lumine,Seibu shopping stores. Lots of nearby restaurants. In addition to the great location, the Tokyu Stay front desk and housekeeping staff were all wonderful and tried to help me (I do not speak Japanese) when I was in need of assistance. My room included a small kitchenette, dining table, washer/dryer combo. All of which made my stay very comfortable. The lobby area had self-serve coffee and cold water; and a nice seating area to relax and have a snack. There’s also a touch screen “Next Destination” monitor TV to help you decide where to explore. An overall wonderful experience.

Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro is a savvy choice for travellers seeking comfort and convenience in Tokyo’s vibrant northwest. Just a few minutes’ walk from Ikebukuro Station, this hotel puts you within steps of major train lines, shopping, and local eateries, yet sits on a quiet street. Just beware when entering from Gekijo Dori (where the nearest 7-11 and FamikyMart are) due to the presence of street touts for a few of the “exciting bars.” Moderate Double room is compact but thoughtfully equipped, featuring a washing machine (with detergent provided), microwave, fridge, and free Wi-Fi—perfect for extended stays. You can get free freshly brewed coffee from the reception area as well as water from the water cooler (you can get a free bottle to take home per guest).
