I'll get right to it: You cannot rely on the WiFi connection at this hotel. Was here for work, and I needed to upload a bunch of pictures onto a website. The WiFi connection dropped repeatedly, it would stay on for 20 seconds, then drop for 3 minutes. Over, and over again. There was a light snow (this was NOT the during the big storm), and this problem was blamed on the weather. If that is the case, they have an old network, and I can only imagine how it was during the days of the big storm. The manager was responsive, so that's a plus. But that doesn't really change the fact that if someone is on business and needs to rely on the internet, that this hotel is not going to get the job done. If you're stay does not have a high need for the internet, then you'll be fine here. If it does, then you need to look elsewhere.
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years when attending SU games, visiting family or when needing a layover in travel. It used to be a well maintained and comfortable stay. I don't know if there is a new owner or a new manager, but this place is failing miserably. I stayed here back in early January and when checking in, the desk worker was sprawled out on the sofa in the lobby. He very lethargically got up and went behind the desk to check me in. He didn't make eye contact at all and barely spoke. I don't know if he was sick or what his problem was, but he sure didn't extend any hospitality. The room I had on this stay was not well kept at all, but I thought I would give the place another chance. At this stay in mid-March, the clerk behind the counter was very nice and polite and checked me in quickly. That is where the good part ends. I went into my room and just like last time, it was not well maintained at all. Yes, the bed was made with fresh linens and there were fresh towels. But, it was obvious that housekeeping is lazy. There was debris all over the floor indicating the room definitely had not been vacuumed. In the numerous reviews I have done for Trip Advisor, I have never included pictures. I am this time to show how lazy housekeeping is. I am also not a picky reviewer - see my other reviews. There were paint chips on top of the shower drain and no tissues in the dispenser in the bathroom. There wasn't even an empty box in the dispenser. Maybe the previous the guest took the tissues with them. But housekeeping should have noticed there were no tissues. I had to use toilet paper. The one thing I did notice that changed from my January stay, is that this time there was an electrical power strip so the microwave, fridge and lights could all work. The last time that was not the case. It is too bad this hotel is not being well kept. There is a Tully's restaurant right next door making it a great place to stay. I have been a Choice Privilege member for years and stay at their properties often. This property is an embarrassment to the franchise name. I will not be returning to this location until it has new management/ownership.
I have stayed in this hotel a few times when up that way for business it is right off the highway with easy in and out. Next door to a good restaurant and sport bar with good food the hotel is priced right for what you get clean room good service and friendly staff
Super comfy, pleasant staff, good price! When we stay over in Syracuse for train or plane, we always used to stay at the Ramada that used to be across the road which had a great buffet breakfast. This hotel is just as friendly, more economical and serves an adequate but not stellar breakfast.
Don't stay here it's terrible. Rooms are nasty and gross. Noise from concerts from the hotel close by that is so loud it will vibrate your windows and nobly cares. It is run down and the housekeeping is terrible. We had clean our own room because we didn't want housekeeping even in the room our entire stay it was that bad.
The hotel was clean and gave us excellent value for money. We stayed there for close to mall. Free breakfast with eggs and bagels and things. Bar next door has good prices for beer and food items too.
The price was really good and we got a lot for our money. Free breakfast, free wifi, room had a fridge and microwave. Everything was clean, and we were comfortable. The hotel was very close to the mall and had a decent bar next door.
Have been staying here over the past several years when in the Syracuse area and need a hotel to stay at. Pam and her staff have always done a great job. It's also helpful that it is easy on and off I 90 as well as I 81
Check in was quick & easy. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Our room was on the third floor far from the elevator so it was quiet. The room was small with a king bed, but it was clean with good bedding & soft towels. This is an economy hotel so don't expect luxury. The breakfast was the standard free breakfast provided by most hotels. This was not our first time staying here, it is close to the highway & shopping.
Clean hotel, friendly & helpful staff, convenient to highway, close to shopping and restaurants. Room was pretty spartan, but clean. I would stay here again, but do not plan on them for breakfast--not much of a selection.
