I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and their airport shuttle service. The room was outdated. Mine had a smell of old cigarettes and just an “old” smell. I didn’t get to experience any of it amenities because I had an early flight out.
It is close to the Syracuse airport and very convenient, but I was quite surprised at how dirty it was and how the furniture and carpet etc. were shabby and dirty.
Staff was always friendly. Breakfast was mediocre, and almost everything was empty by 730 AM. Wasn’t refilled until almost 8

The girl at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. The hotel seemed fine. The bedding is fluffy, they have big pillows, I appreciated the nice shower and toiletries. The issue is that our room smelled like horrible mildew and was damp. It stayed wet in there all night. We didn’t get to check in until almost midnight due to travel and had to be gone by 6am. We were told we got one of the last rooms so we didn’t complain and make it harder on the front desk—but honestly, it was a terrible stay being in a wet, smelly room. If that had been corrected, it would have been completely great.

There was an annoying clicking noise in my bathroom that wouldn't stop all night. Happened every few minutes. Tried to find it to no avail.
This is an airport hotel. I stayed becasue I had an early-morning flight. There is no restaurant, and none within easy walking distance, especially at night in the pouring rain. The coffee maker in the room did not work. The shampoo in the bathroom was not available in little personal bottles, but in a big bottle in the shower that is used by everyone. Their driver took me to a nearby McDonalds and waited for me; of course I felt I needed to tip for that service. The hotel is on a busy commercial street on the other side of a major highway from the airport. It is nearly invisible from the road, since its "front yard" is filled with tractor trailers. The desk staff of the Holiday Inn Express was very good, and the breakfast staff did allow me to get coffee and a bun when i left at 5:15 am, even though they didn't open until 5:30 am, which I apppreciated. This hotel "replaces" the hotel we used previously that was almost on airport grounds, and had a convenient, although minimal restaurant,That hotel is now closed, but it was immensely more convenient than its replacement.
