THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY KIND AND ATTENTIVE TO YOUR NEEDS. The bathroom faucet leaked and I never got my wake up call. Almost missed my airplane

We had a nice stay. The room was never tidied up for us during our stay. We asked the front desk but it never happened. Our water in the room could never be turned to cold and the toilet didn’t work very well. We also could hear the elevator at any time of the day.

Impeccable hotel with a great location. Only 15 minutes from the airport, yet in the beautiful Ladue/Clayton area, yet can be downtown in minutes.

What makes a hotel 5 stars? It begins with great hospitality, from knowing your name when you check in, to luxurious bedding, to great walkable restaurants. All in all a wonderful way to get over a canceled flight out of St. Louis!

Great hotel. No complaints except for; 1. Cigar smell of the lobby due to the cigar club. 2. Pool is a pathetic. 3. Hard to find a barbell or a pull-up bar at the fitness center. Positives are; 1. Breakfast buffet is one of the best. 2. Staff is great. 3. Rooms are clean and spacious.

The Ritz Carlton is a comfortable and welcoming hotel. It is close to the airport and an easy drive to most anywhere in St Louis. While there is a limited neighborhood for walking, there are several streets about two blocks away with interesting bars and good restaurants. What makes the hotel so exceptional is the staff. Everyone is attentive and helpful. Not only that, they remember their guests from previous trips. The Ritz Carlton will always be my first choice when I visit St. Louis.

This hotel looks a little antique but overall clean and well put together. The only I didn't like was that some of the staff was very snoody acting. I did however need early check in and I was accomodated immediately.

This is a great example of an old school Ritz hotel. The downstairs wood panelled "club"-like atmosphere is dark but well set up for a quiet drink or one-on-one meeting. No blaring TVs or music! There's a lot of old St Louis here, so you see guys who look like they've never been out without a sport coat. The room was large and immaculate, nicely modern, with high quality bedding, TV, bathroom. The small balcony is a nice plus. Quiet. Located in a nice area with some good nearby restaurants. Still expensive.

I arrived at the hotel around midnight and had called ahead, 10 hours in advance, to notify the hotel of the late arrival. So far so good. Upon arrival the two guys working behind the desk had trouble finding my reservation and told me that they had had trouble with [...] in the past. This was fine and I was working with them to take care of the issue. I presented them with two forms of documentation stating that I had paid in advance for the room, this was when one of them, who was dressed as if he should be working at the La Quinta Inn, came up with the most insulting suggestion possible. He thought it would be a great idea for me to pay the hotels rack rate and that I should deal with[...]This was not the first or even second time staying with the Ritz so I know it is not pervasive through the organization at least in my prior experience but I will never stay at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis ever, and since this experience has left me with no desire to ever even stop in St. Louis to use the restroom while driving through I will go out of my way to suggest to others they never stay there either. I have never in my life posted anything positive or negative online about a hotel, restaurant, or any business but this was just too much to not say something. Have a great day! And if you are looking for a nice place to stay in St. Louis I would suggest looking elsewhere.

The hotel staff was very friendly, prompt, and helpful. They were able arrange for a dinner reservation on Saturday night before Valentine's Day!Our room was spacious and relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay.

This was a beautiful hotel in a central location. They even had a wonderful jazz band on Saturday night. The room was very nicely appointed with a great view of Clayton. I will be sure to stay here again the next time I come for a visit. The only thing that could show improvement would be the food quality on the late night in room dining menu. The food did not quite meet the expectations that I had after reading the descriptions of the entree.

Was treated to spectacular service by people of obvious dedication, training and intelligence, who appeared to truly enjoy being in the service industry

great stay

This is an excellent hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They treated me as an honored guest from the moment I arrived until they said their final goodby. Housekeeping kept the room spotless and they were the friendliest group I have ever met. The large, comfortable, well appointed room would please any traveller. Although I had only one suitcase, the room could handle several more, easily. The air temperature system worked efficiently, effectively and quietly. The very large flatscreen television almost demanded that you try it. The picture quality was impressive. The in-room coffee and tea service, located in a wooden chest, was filled with good coffee and good teas. I actually looked forward to using this service early in the morning and late at night. The marble floored bathroom area with separate water closet was very clean. The amenities (soap, shampoo and others) were first class. The very, very numerous towel sets were of good quality and extremely soft. The bed and pillows are so comfortable that they literally put me to sleep. I had none of the tossing and turning associated with the first night in a hotel bed. For the business traveller the room is very well lighted and there are sufficent outlets to handle most electrical needs. The work area is well appointed and comfortable. The room will help you unwind at the end of a day and help prepare you for the next workday. For myself, this short vacation at the Ritz Carlton was a very relaxing experience. I look forward to going back there.

The St Louis Ritz Carlton is at the center of the financial district of St Louis. Conseqently there is little around that a big city could provide for someone who walks. A car (with GPS) is a necessity. Then it is in a very convenient location. The staff could not be more friendly and professional. However, December is probably not the high season for St Louis. The bar, for example does not open until 4:00 p.m. The service in the restaurants is professional, but the food is typical high end hotel food.

Every aspect of the hotel's opertion was excellent, from the greeting upon arrival, the car valet personnel, the door and desk personnel as well as the bell-hops. Exrememly friendly and knowledgeable desk clerks; check in and check out services were friendly as well as professional. Our room was ample-sizd, well situated and kept clean throughout our stay. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the hotel, will happily check in there again at our next stay in St. Louis, and will gladly recommend the Hotel to all and sundry.

Our brief stays in the hotel is the best so far this year. We travel 2- 3 times a year and we always want to stay on a best hotel. A friend pick it up since they haven't stayed here. OUR stay was all get together.. we stayed the whole time we checked -in cuz we all what we need from the health club amenities to room service. we sure be back again on our next trip..
