What a friendly team! The front desk staff are friendly and helpful all of the time! The kitchen staff are absolutely incredible- and willing to send you with a banana and a coffee before the kitchen even opens in the morning!! This really, really made me feel at home (home away from home!) like grandma was taking care of me with a truly personal touch. I’m truly impressed!

To Robin, Rhonda, Tina, Ken and the entire staff of the Residence Inn of Marriott, we would like to say thank you for your kindness and outstanding service. We were booked at the Abraham Lincoln, Double Tree, also in Springfield for our first night. To say we were disappointed with their service, attitude, amenities, etc., would be an understatement. However this review is all about the quality and kindness of the folks over at the Residence. Kind regards, Kevin and Kenya Jones

This is my preferred hotel when I visit family in Springfield. One of the newer hotels in town, it is nice and clean, and seems to be well run. I've stayed there several times over the last couple of years and it is a consistently pleasant place to live for a few days. And I say "live" because it's not just a place to crash at the end of the day. I've had company visit me in my room and there's plenty of space and seating. I'll be staying here again I'm sure.

This is our halfway mark stop from our summer place in Michigan to our home in Arkansas. Each time we come, we hope and pray that management has remained the same! YES!!! This trip is no exception! Even saw 4 people whom we remember from years past! This hotel maintains it's "newness" in the rooms, with appliances and even down to the caulk around the sinks. It is a clean freak's dream! The hostesses, Rhonda, (and the host, Ken) in the breakfast area have become like extended family to us. They cook a delicious hot breakfast with all sort of condiments (spinach leaves, salsa, green onions, etc for eggs and 3 different types of nuts for cereals, yogurt and oatmeal. They serve FRESH melons and fruits. We are always impressed with this hotel. The lagniappes (all of the extras) keep us faithful! Note to Marriott Hotel Chain: this is a good teaching model!

I am a frequent guest at Marriott hotels and as such I am comfortable in the consistency of the residence inns. I travel with a small non-stick pan and a few small spices. Having the ability to make a few home cooked meals is wonderful when you are on the road all the time. Breakfast is exceptionally good at this one. Egg whites, spinach and some cheese on a tortilla!

We recently attended a horse show at the state fairgrounds. This hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the fairgrounds. We were thrilled to find a hotel that would accommodate our 7 month old German Shepherd. We checked in late afternoon and were warmly greeted by the front desk staff. Our room was on the 4th floor, clean, quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The king bed was great along with the pillows. The room is a true suite with a fridge, and kitchen appliances. The air conditioner was a bit loud, but did not disrupt us. The sofa sleeper was comfortable. There is a great lot adjacent to the hotel to exercise our puppy. Breakfast was free, warm, wide selection and variety of hot breakfast. The staff is incredibly friendly, they truly make the hotel stand out. We will definitely stay here again, great job providing a great place for us to stay!

Was a very nice room with a good breakfast and a free small bag of microwaveable popcorn in the room (front desk offered more as well). Pool was a little cold and the hot tub was a little on the hotter side so no happy medium there, but still was just fine. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Only minor complaint was some of the furniture seemed to be a little dirty-ish on the arms, but we had no need to use it anyways. Swivel TV was nice and built in way to access Netflix on the TV was really cool and useful at night time when nothing worthwhile was on. This was a good experience and nice way to start our vacation.

This Family Trip Involved Multiple Rooms In Which Cleanliness Was An Issue For Both Rooms. First Room Had Blonde Hair From Previous Guest On The Sleep Sofa. Housekeeping Was Not Up To Part On The Cleaning Process. I Know It Was A Weekend But No Service Was Done On Monday At All. Second Room Had Issues With Bathroom. It Was Just Filthy To Express The Opinion of the Guests. Preferably the Toilet. They Went Down To The Desk To Request Service. Overall Experience, Service Should Not Be Limited Due To Rate Being Paid For Room. Regardless of Rewards Status, Point Status, or Rate A Stellar Level of Customer Service Should Always Be Rendered. Lastly, Your Motto Is: "Services Should Be So Legendary, You Would Want To Tell Stories About It." This Is A Story You Don't Want To Tell.

I stay here often for work. The staff is super polite and genuinely want to make sure you are having a pleasant stay. There is free breakfast every morning which has a nice variety of hot, cold and vegetarian options. There is also an evening event each night Monday-Wednesday. The rooms are traditional Residence Inn rooms with kitchens, Marriott beds, etc.

Over the past month, our family has stayed at Residence Inns in Rochester, NY, Bridgewater, MA, East Rutherford, NJ, Falls Church, VA, Springfield, MO and Springfield, IL. As well as a Fairfield in Niagara Falls, NY and a Courtyard in Philadelphia, PA. Each time the reservation is the same. "Special requests of extra towels and extra feather pillows." None of the other hotels noted our requests. I always ended up going to ask for more towels or sometimes borrowing them from the pool area. I am pleased to report that Residence Inn Springfield South not only provided extra pillows and towels, they also stood out by checking to make sure they asked us if everything was okay. I was very impressed by the attention to detail and the efforts of the staff to work as a team! We weren't there very long, but I wish I could move in here! It's very nice property and every need was anticipated before it materialized. I hope to come back soon Kudos RI Springfield South!! You are five stars all the way!!
