The Shreveport Country Inn

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

First room's AC didn't work. Second room's AC wasn't adjustable but was tolerable. The toilet wasn't secured to the floor but was still usable. lol We were a little uncomfortable with the people "hanging out" in the parking lot. In which we found the next morning that one of them had put his cigarette out on the side of our rental car. The employees were all very nice though.

The good: Perfectly located for our needs. Close to Texas St that runs to the casino's and across a cool, old bridge into Shreveport. Close to I-20 and an easy trip to CenturyLink Center. Restaurants, drug and grocery store closeby. The bed was comfortable. We saved money and based on other reviews I thought the odds 50/50 it would be acceptable. The bad: It was noisy. The staff rolled their carts by often and were talkative, loudly. A staff member was loudly sweeping/scraping around the parking lot at 12:30 AM! It was creepy. We needed febreze immediately upon arrival and the carpet was filthy. Our white socks (mine brand new) had black bottoms. The TV is bolted down. enough said, right? You can imagine the rest.

PLEASE NOTE: An earlier (negative) review was submitted in error due to confusing it with another hotel The hotel was roomy, clean, and nicely furnished. The outdated, old-style tube TV set had a poor quality picture and the volume even at the maximum was nearly inaudible.

Hotel stay was barely passable. Room, generally dated, the bed in particular; appeared the same mattress and padding that was initially installed when the hotel was built 30 years ago; I felt queasy sleeping on it. Appeared the outer rubber seams of the fridge had not been cleaned in the entire 25 years it's been there. Hotel provided just a face and bath towel--no hand towel, then those used the first night were removed but not replaced, so that the second night I had only a clean bath towel.

May have been a 3 star when it was built - but that was many years ago. Material condition of the room and furnishings was quite worn. Strong mildew odor upon entering - had to hit it hard with Fabreze. Spend a few more $$$ and find a nicer place.

While the staff was very friendly and helpful, everything else was just bad. The room was old, dirty, and in need of repair. The carpet was the most disgusting I have ever stepped on and under the beds was even worse. In the bathroom they tried to paint over the mood/mildew rather than clean it. There were half dressed people wondering around the parking lots smoking and drinking at all hours of the evening and night. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else!

The hotel was nice. Staff was friendly and sweet. The room was really clean and smelled really good. not like smoke but smelled clean. Bed was hard. I couldn't sleep and woke up with back aches.. that is the only downfall. Other than that I would recommend and I would stay again.

Friendly staff, quiet. Nice pool, but didn't have time to enjoy.

We enjoyed are 2 nite stay it was clean n quiet n close to everything we wantef to do

This is your typical one night in a motel place. If you're looking for a cheap option to stay the night, it's not terrible. They pushed two twin sized beds and box springs together to make the king. The A/C looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The breakfast was basic (cereal, fruit, waffle maker, and packaged Danishes). It's not a place you want to bring your wife to for a nice weekend away, but for a business trip or a quick night's rest, it works.

This hotel was really nice the price was great.I would recommend this hotel room to anyone.

I was pleased with my stay. Very clean but the beds and showers need upgrading badly. I would recommend friends to stay for the price is right.

Went for a weekend getaway with a friend. Great location, not far from casinos( about 7 min away) Waffle House right next door. Lots of other restaurants near by. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Will stay here again!!

A good value for the money. Rooms are big and decent. Close to stores and pblic transportation.

Do not waste ur time or money. The beds are hard. The room smelled. There was only one towel. No WiFi and no hot breakfast. There was cats fighting the whole night and ppl next door was so loud. Nobody had respect who was staying there. And kept hearing cars roaring their motors. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

We had a great stay everything was excellent. I would be returning again. The Staff was pleasant and I would recommend this Hotel.

Everything was pleasant except the refrigerator was frozen over so the door would not close.

I really enjoy staying at this hotel. Very nice customer service. And the room was very nice, the only thing with the room the t.v didn't work but they both one right away.

If you're looking to be pampered in Shreveport while gambling, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a cheap place to stay, this is for you. Stay here and save some extra bucks for the slots. Rooms were clean and staff was nice.

Rooms are perfect for the price paid. They have a 24 hr restaurant and a bar. Staff was helpful and friendly. was there for the air show it was right over the motel awesome.
