We recently stayed a weekend when we were up to visit family. The suite we stayed in far exceeded our expectations. It was more of a condo than a hotel room. It was fully furnished and had everything we needed, even plates silverware and cooking utensils! The breakfast also exceeded our expectations. It tasted great and had many options. They even had sundae toppings for waffels! The kids loved that.

Convenient to the airport. Easy trip back to the rental car facilities.

Large room with a kitchen and fireplace. Would make an excellent home base for an extended visit to the area. Close to shopping and restaurants.

We arrived in the evening and it was very easy to check in. The room was very spacious for the two of us. The kitchen is very nice (full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove, microwave, etc.) and came with a few glasses and plates and utensils in the cupboards. The storage in the room was very plentiful. Had a nice desk so I could do some work on my laptop. The WiFi was easy to access. The staff was very pleasant. The breakfast buffet in the mornings was very good and we were able to choose different things to eat each morning or stick with one thing. One of the parking lot exits goes directly on to Strander Blvd, which has tons of stores (including grocery), restaurants, and a movie theater. When it came time to get back on I5 to head home south, it was super easy access to the freeway via Strander Blvd again. This is our new favorite place to stay in Seattle and will likely book this place every time from now on.

Convienent to freeway, fast food, shopping, gas station, close to car rental station, rooms kept clean, staff pleasant, free breakfast every morning, and some evenings dinner. The pillows on the bed "too big", and uncomfortable.

friendly and helpful staff, continental breakfast very good.

This Hotel was extremely close to the shopping district of Tukwila, especially the Southcenter Mall, and it is only minutes away from the airport. Downtown was only 15 minutes away. The staff, the location, the quality of the accommodations, and the free breakfast every morning has made The Residence Inn our new favorite hotel, whenever we visit the Seattle Area!! Will definitely recommend them to everyone I know!

We stayed here five nights. I had read the other reviews and was still surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was clean and spacious, and I couldn't get over the complimentary items. Free dinner and breakfast?! Yes please! A hot breakfast every morning got our days of site-seeing started right. And, although we only ate one dinner there, it wasn't spectacular, but it sure was convenient, and did I mention; FREE! With wine and beer included! If you're looking for a great place to stay, this is it. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

We booked this room for one night after an all day trip into seattle. It was clean (my biggest concern). The sofa bed was very noisy and it only had one 12 year old on it. The shower stayed nice and hot even after three long showers were taken. Overall I would stay there again.

Our stay in Seattle was a great time largely in part to our stay at the "Residence Inn Tukwila". The hotel was conveniently about 10 minutes from the airport, and blocks from the largest mall in Washington!!. My family which includes a 2 year old, spent our 2nd half of our Seattle trip here. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to downtown, which was fine. I appreciated not being in a downtown hotel and having to pay for parking! Parking was free!! The parking spaces were large enough for our mini-van. The staff was very accommodating to our every need. The only drawback if any was that there are now elevators. The hotel looks like a condominium community with two story suites. The two bedroom suites are all upstairs. But the staff were right there to help us with our bags!! The breakfast buffet was awesome!! Loved the eggs, miso soup and rice, potatoes, belgian waffle maker, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, juice. It closes at 10AM on weekends and 9AM on weekdays. There was a convenient coin operated laundry on site, and the staff were glad to give us change. There was a 7-11 literally steps away from the front door, which was convenient. There was a wendy's, taco bell right across the street. And being close to the mall, there were almost every restaurant you could think of. Olive garden, Claim jumper, soup and salad restaurant. Wal mart and Target were also nearby. The hotel was super clean, almost new!! Loved having a kitchen to cook if we wanted to; very necessary if you have a child. Lots of room for the 2 year old to walk around. There was a loft with the king bed (master suite), and queen bed downstairs. 2 bathrooms. Great experience and already planning for our stay there next year!

For the money this was a great hotel, lots of room to spread out, huge full kitchen. Very convenient to drive up to Seattle proper. Costco is close if you want to cook for yourself.

Great location if you plan to travel all over the Seattle Tacoma area. Near the airport, but you will not see or hear planes, Near the junction of several major highways, but off to the side enough that you will not see or hear the traffic. Near a major mall, with easy access, but not in the thick of the traffic pattern. The staff is outstanding, always ready to please in any way they can. The free breakfast is boring, but sufficient. The rooms are nice. The mattresses are good, not great. The pillows are sufficient, not luxurious. The televisions are not flat screen and small ( the one in the main bedroom was only 19".) The air conditioning to the loft only goes via a single duct in the floor, so to cool the loft you have to freeze the main floor. In general this is a good hotel that needs updating to become truly great. At the price I paid, it is a bargain, but I would willingly pay more if they would do the needed upgrades.

The room was fantastic and just right for traveling with two young adult children. We stayed in the two bedroom suite with two full baths. The room also had a fold out bed so the kids didn't have to share one - something they really appreciated! The staff was very helpful. When the power went out due to an accident up the road, they got on the phone and found another hotel for us for one night so my husband wouldn't be without his C-Pap machine. There is a complimentary breakfast that couldn't be more wonderful! In addition, Monday through Thursday, they serve beer, wine, and a light dinner from 6 to 7:30.

I was very pleased with the staff, the rooms were very nice and spacious, the pool was kept up and available and the complimentary breakfast was just right. Thank you

This is the 2nd Residence Inn that we have stayed in over the last year. Each experience was very memorable. Residence Inn is my first search for when ever we travel and need to stay for a few days. [...]From where we stayed, we had to drive several miles to be with pur relatives, however access to major freeways were easy.In Seattle it always rains, but don't bring your umbrella, because the motel will lend you a complimentary one. Sturdy and nice.

I expected the room to be nice, but it was awesome. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a very romantic and cozy fireplace and updated kitchen. I would definitely revisit this hotel.

Residence Inn by Marriott Seattle South, in TUKWILA, WA, had problems with a broken pipe in another room of our small building (#12). Maintenance had to shut all water off that served our room/building around 9:30 a.m. My wife was in the middle of her morning shower when this happened. I contacted the front desk and asked what was causing the problem (no water) in our unit. They knew of a water pipe leaking and asked us to wait a few minutes. We waited; no water and no call back. I called again and was advised that the problem required our room's/building's water to remain off until repairs were completed. The front desk offered us access to another vacant room for bathing, etc. We opted instead for a reduced room rate due to a prior commitment and limited time. Rate was reduced by half. Bad luck, or do the buildings need inspection and repair? Cleanliness could be improved in the tub/shower area at heights above 6'-6. Also, the room was frigid (approx. 55 degrees)when we returned from an evening out. We had not touched the temperature controls after checking in to find a comfortable room temp. around 3:30 p.m.
