Great place. Will stay there again
Very nice resort with two towers (one newly renovated and one newly built), beautiful beachfront, two pools, excellent service at pools and beach, close to St. Armand's square for shopping and other dining options. Overall great vacation with my wife and I would stay here again.
The service
Amazing
Close to quiet beach
Had a wonderful time. Will definitely return.
The front desk service was very poor and they seemed untrained. We tried the upstairs restaurant for breakfast, where we put our name in, yet was skipped over repeatedly, a "20 minute" wait turned into a 50 one. Even when we pointed out their mistake and it was confirmed, it kept happening. The WiFi only worked in certain places both in the hotel and in our room.
Great location, the ocean front suite was comfortable and nicely laid out. Easy parking, nice amenities. Construction next door was loud during the weekdays. The slider to the deck needed repair.
The good- Nice updated rooms, friendly staff, Covid procedures in place, Clean Adult only pool. Drift restaurant is a MUST - great food & sunset view! The bad - not enough lounge chairs at the pool & MANY are broken. Also need more umbrellas. "Private" Beach crowded with non-guests with huge cabanas & coolers. Also LOTS of kids at this resort NOT following masks & social distancing!
Loved the place! Great location clean and comfortable rooms.
This is a great family-friendly property right on the beach. The best rooms are in the Palm Tower but unfortunately, those rooms are often double the cost of the rooms in the smaller tower. Our room was OK. It faced the parking garage so it was very dark, the bathroom was tiny and the A/C was loud and oscillating all night. I would give this property an A+ for rooms facing the ocean in the Palm Tower and a B/B- for the rooms in the smaller building. The rooms do all have small kitchenettes which are handy. They just renovated their restaurant, called Drift, which is on the 8th floor of the Palm Tower and is BEAUTIFUL. The poolside tiki bar is great with 1/2 priced drinks & starters during happy hour. This is our 5th year staying at the hotel and while the location is great, I am thinking of booking us in the Westin next year which is brand new and has a rooftop bar and pool. The rates are about the same and it would be fun to explore more of downtown Sarasota!
I really liked the communication directly from the hotel prior to our arrival. We stayed in the beautiful, clean, and fresh beachfront tower. (Those who were staying in the older, original building were not as happy as we were - there is a very odd, musty, urine-like smell coming from those rooms. we were able to experience that on our last day after we checked out and were able to stay and utilize the hotel changing room/shower and restroom facilities). The view is absolutely divine, the beach is amazing, the beach towels are plush and the berry-infused water available everywhere were a huge plus. The hotel staff was kind and professional at all times, in all hotel and restaurant areas. The shuttle is awesome!
While the location of this property is amazing, we will not be staying here again. There was a very large roach in the bathroom. Because where there’s one, there’s probably more thus myself and my husband did not sleep well.
Starting with luxury, the hotel is spacious, and beautifully decorated. There are two curvy pools next to the beach and a gate on to the sand so you can play in the waves and collect shells. Tiki torches are lit in the evening and there is a wide range of meals types. Sunday brunch is awesome with great views from the 8th floor. Almost all needs are met before you even think of them but if you lock yourself out of your room, they make a new key for you without hesitation.
Very nice hotel, customer service was great, it is very clean, the shuttle service is very convenient
Wonderful, quick trip. The hotel has everything you need, good food, great pool, and nice beach. Walking distance to lots of restaurants.
Staff very friendly!!! Very clean, on the beach, walking distance to st Armand's circle! Just perfect! Only thing I didn't like is that there was a $35 resort fee/day that was a surprise 😏
