Great Location. Loved the decor. Even more i loved the view of the city from my room.

nice hotel close to presidio park and good restaurants

Clean room and roomy; staff friendly; walking distance to Kaiser Hospital a big plus; to be sure this is not a B&B but they do have fresh cookies at 3pm; water, coffee, and tea.

Everything was in perfect shape. No complaints! First quality everything! Good location for our family visiting.

Stayed two nights at the Laurel Inn and it was an excellent experience. Location was wonderful. Close to the Russian center of SF where I was attending the Russian festival. Hotel staff was gracious and very helpful with any requests. Room was on the third floor. Super quiet and very comfortable. The view was spectacular. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.

Every thing was good except the beds should be at least a queen not a small double.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff was great and very accommodating, our flight was very early and they were kind enough to hold our luggage while we grabbed some lunch and explored the neighborhood. The room was clean and there was a fan in the room but if we opened the window a little bit the air outside was enough to cool the room. Very, nice comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

I was visiting family in the Inner Richmond area. This hotel was very convenient and proved a good choice. The staff were wonderful, we had beverages, cookies, and breakfast offered. I would have liked to go have a drink for the happy hour but unfortunately the adjacent bar was closed as it was Sunday. The room was clean and quiet and I was comfortable. I would stay here again.

Very average hotel. The week before we were at the Argonaut on the Wharf with a beautiful view of the bay and Balclutha Ship with a much larger, nicer, updated room for exactly the same price. Hmmm

Staff is very friendly and it has a great location in Pacific Heights, a bit away from all the downtown. You can walk to Marina and Cow Hollow if you are in decent shape. Lots of excellent eateries around. Very confortable and also good for families as they have little kitchens.

Access to parking is a plus, rooms are clean and not cramped, good value for the expensive city.

Good location. Comfortable room. Spacious. Just a little tired.

My family (two kids and husband) shared a room and all was fine for the two days in San Fran. The hotels here are so expensive in general that the Laurel Inn was in a great location, quiet at night and was clean and sufficient. Very European.

I usually stay on Union Square but wanted to explore the Presidio this trip. Perfect location for walking. Large comfortable room. Free drink from Swank a nice touch. The street noise was manageable, but I was awakened by a" herd of elephants" stomping upstairs. Will stay on top floor next time.

it was a terrible experience, the hotel doesnt have air conditioning...terrible for the prcie...

Stayed at the Laurel inn for a wedding located at Baker Beach. Staff were very nice and were really helpful with finding things close by to do. Hotel isn't in the heart of downtown so you have to walk quite a distance to see things like the cable car or fishermans wharf. Hotel is pet friendly and kept pretty clean. Only issue we noticed is Friday night into Saturday morning the city picks up all the trash at all businesses and homes and the dump truck can be very loud. Hotel also didn't have an AC unit in room so you had to open windows to cool off room so you can hear some traffic if you have the window open.

It started badly when we arrived with 4 pieces of luggage and no one moved to help us. Eventually someone did. The rooms are small and the bathrooms old. The beds were so soft and caved in in the middle that it made it difficult to sleep. While Pacific Heights is a nice place to live it is not close to anything so you will pay in taxi fares what you save in hotels. A small bright spot is the continental breakfast of high quality pastries and free coffee.

Everyone at the Laurel was great. The front desk staff was fantastic. The Swank lounge was really fun - had great drinks. The hotel itself is an older building and they made a lot of cosmetic changes to try and make it "swanky" but it was slightly odorous (like moldly/stale) in the room. It was a perfect location for my weekend seminar in Laurel Heights. I'm rating this fairly high based on the staff and how hard they worked :-)

I just got back from a 9-day trip in San Francisco and this was my 4th or 5th time staying at the Laurel Inn. The pros: Staff is friendly and helpful; breakfast items and beverages are served in the lobby every morning and homemade cookies and coffee/tea in the afternoon; rooms are spacious and comfortable and bedding is of good quality; location is close enough to the different neighborhoods that one could walk, take a bus, or drive. Also it's an easy and fairly quick drive from the hotel to the Golden Gate Bridge for access to Marin County (about 10 mins or less without traffic). It's not close to downtown but I stay away from that area so that's never bothered me. Finally, there's ample garage parking included with your stay. The cons: Bathrooms are clean but in need of updating/remodeling (very odd, since the rest of the hotel appears rather modern and sleek), and traffic and noise from the street side of the hotel is somewhat loud. Other than that, it's always a pleasant stay here and I have no complaints. I'd recommend it for the budget- conscious traveller who requires comfort and (aside from the bathrooms), a touch of modern class.
