The location was 5 star as the condo sits right above the Mission Beach Boardwalk and looks directly out on the beach and the ocean. The condo was well furnished, but the kitchen and bathroom need an upgrade. We had difficulty finding the actual condo as the building was not well marked and we did not know that unit #7 was on the 2nd floor., so we circled around 3 times trying to figure it out. Even though we had been told our parking spot was in a garage, it took us a bit to figure it all out because some parking is right in front of the building and some is not. Also, you pull up in the alley to enter the condo, so it is not a good first impression. The front side, however, that sits right on the beach, looks great. Once settled in, we enjoyed the week and the location being right on the beach.

This place was a very good value for the money. However, it does not have AC which made nights particularly very uncomfortable and hot (up to almost 80). I understand that CA places often use the ocean breeze to cool the place down, but in this unit it meant sleeping with the sliding glass doors open which is not safe (and not an option for first level condos), Also, the County of San Diego runs trucks on the beach to clean the sand starting at 4:30am so even if the doors are left open, the trucks are very loud in the mornings and will wake up the whole house.We enjoyed our stay, but the AC is an issue and the condo was a bit outdated. The ice machine was broken as well, and the beach chairs are in really bad shape. Overall, a nice place to stay for the price, but it had a few bumps along the way most of which property management tried to address timely.

The location was amazing, right on the beach with gorgeous sunsets each evening. We were able to walk to lots of great restaurants and it was an easy drive to other local attractions. We took advantage of the free bike rentals right around the corner and it was incredibly easy. The interior of the unit was well maintained and comfortable. Bluewater vacation rentals was very responsive when we had questions/concerns.

The location of Mission Beach Sunset #7 was absolutely perfect, it was close enough to walk to several nice restaurants (Mission Baja Tacos!), a complimentary bike rental place, and was right on the beach. It was a perfect place for sunset watching from the deck. I would love to stay there again. Bluewater Vacation Homes was a wonderful company to work with.

Excellent Location!

My husband and I have stayed in this same condo before, plus other rentals in the same building and we love the location. It’s wonderful to have such a great view of the ocean and close enough to walk to the shore. It is also within walking distance to many great restaurants.

Great location

The condo had a great location right on the boardwalk and a spectacular view. Sunsets were amazing. Property was very comfortable. Only issue was there could be more towels and toilet tissue left for use and maybe a few more fans since there are no ceiling fans in the condo and no AC. Overall, great experience.

We loved our stay in Mission Beach! The second-floor unit offered amazing views and extra privacy. It’s in a great location, walking distance to excellent restaurants. It was a bit warm at night with no AC or fan, and we had a minor ant issue in the kitchen. Staff offered help, but we handled it ourselves to maintain privacy. Overall, a great spot with just a few drawbacks

Home was as advertised and communicaiton with the management company was really good. Excellent location, great views of the beach/ocean. Overall great experience. Nice big parking spot in the garage, we got a smaller SUV but could have fit Suburban sized.

Nice place with a beautiful view

I love the view!!! The property is older and smells a bit older. We couldn’t get the front door open and waited 10 minutes between being on hold and getting a text on the trick to get the door open. If you don’t mind older and smaller, it really is an amazing beach view and steps to putting your feet in the ocean. Be prepared to find some sort of shower to rinse off because this building doesn’t have it! Overall, texting communication worked pretty well. :)

Perfect for us!

The unit had everything we needed and was perfect for us (a couple). It could work for a young family, but would be too crowded for 4 adults. We especially appreciated the garage parking. Most of all, we loved the 24/7 cool breeze coming off the ocean. We never shut the patio doors. We want to return next year!

Great Location

I absolutely LOVED this location as it is sooo close to the water and the beach here is really nice to walk on. The place was very clean and the property manager is easily accessible and ready to please. Mission Beach is a fun place to visit!
