This lovely condo features a breathtaking 180 degree unobstructed, panoramic view of beautiful Sail Bay! The almost floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows and sliding glass door in the living room lead out to the balcony, with a table and chairs for enjoying the view. Unwind in front of the gas fireplace after a day of exploring San Diego. The bedroom has a king size bed and the living room has a queen Murphy bed. The kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, cherrywood cabinets, and travertine tile, has everything you need for dining in. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination with double vanity sinks. There is a coin operated laundry room about 30 feet down the hall.
The Riviera Villas are situated on the quieter East side of beautiful Sail Bay (the loveliest part of Mission Bay)! You will have a magnificent view of the sunsets with the activities of the bay in the foreground; kite-boarders, sailboats, water skiers, catamarans, etc. Yet, you are only 12 minutes from San Diego's bustling downtown historic Gaslamp area with its fine dining, 1.5 miles from SeaWorld, and within 15 minutes from the lovely Balboa Park with the famous San Diego Zoo. So, you can have it all!
Enjoy your coffee on your private balcony as you watch the boardwalk come alive. Right below, people are on the boardwalk riding bikes, skating, jogging, and just strolling at leisure. Take a stroll or ride our two provided beach cruiser bikes around the bay and if you like, cross over to Mission Beach with its wide boardwalk to watch the surfers or catch a glimpse of the green flash at sunset.
Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a 'starter kit' to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store.
Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, either Keurig coffee makers with k-cups or standard coffee makers, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, co2/fire detectors, and most homes have heat available.
While on vacation, we want our guests to enjoy their vacation to the fullest and we feel in order for our guests to do this, they should also feel informed. Summer 2024 Policy: Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2024, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you.
Last Minute Booking Policy: If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.
To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest's face and holding either a Driver's License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as, payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.
This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.
Nightly Minimum Policy: 4 night minimum required in the off season. 6 nights AND a Saturday Check-in is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). The location is great. And the place itself is very nice. But we had no water for a couple hours yesterday as they had some issue. When it finally came back on, there was no hot water. We were meeting someone for dinner and had been on the beach. So we had to basically take a cold sponge bath yesterday. Then no shower today. No advance warning from anyone. When they finally responded, it was a simple “Sorry for the inconvenience.” We are going back in September and hopefully, we will have better luck.

Fantastic proximity to everything Mission Bay
Beautiful condo, fantastic views of the sunset every night, great accommodations. we didn’t need a car for this trip, took the bikes to OB, PB and the board walk. Great proximity to everything. Walked to Trader Joe’s and Sprouts, PB for food. Absolutely lovely trip.

The unit was well decorated and clean. The location and view are great. Here are the areas for improvement. The lighting in the bedroom was poor; suggest replacing the ceiling fan with one with lights. The unit has no heating. I could not find a thermostat. We used a radient heater from the closet and the fireplace for heat. The patio light is out. The maintenance of the building is substandard and not completely safe. The lights from the beach to the first floor were out. Dryer vents were leaking. .

The property was found clean, neat and as advertised. The location was phenomenal.
A few things to note: be prepped for crowds. The fourth was crazy. The fireworks went well into the night as did the neighbors karaoke. It was fun for us, but it could be overwhelming if you have young children or a sensory processing disorder.
The neighborhood was walkable and we had everything we needed for a girls trip.

Great view over Mission Bay from North side on third floor. Building is a bit shabby but unit is clean, nicely furnished and kept in good shape. Neighbors seem friendly. Parking easy in garage on first level. Overall , good unit with all amenities needed.

38th Anniversary celebration
We were pleased with our accommodations. The staff made sure we were we were well taken care of. It was perfect for us. Clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a fireplace, which we used almost every chilly evening. A beautiful views of the Mission Bay. We would definitely recommend this vacation condos in San Diego.

Beautiful Getaway Location
We loved the property's location on Sail Bay right on the boardwalk! We loved our morning walks and sunsets on the balcony. The property was very clean and in good shape. It had everything my wife and I needed for a week stay, including a jigsaw puzzle and games for a rainy day! The location was close to everything we planned on visiting. The neighborhood was quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Great property with amazing sunset views of the bay. Balcony over beach / walking path was a nice feature, too bad it wasn't a little bigger. Loved the availabulity of the bikes and beach items. All the codes for parking, elevator, entry door, bikes, beach items were a bit overwhelming and the cable tv was trial and error...but with that view, who is there to watch tv anyhow?

Location is fabulous. The apartment can use some updating. Older furniture. Overall the apartment has more than everything you will need for a great vacation. There was a musty odor throughout and on linens. Could use a good cleaning of all linens. With all that said, still enjoyed the week. Easy access to restaurants and venues.

Beautiful, safe, and quiet location!
The property was clean, fully stocked with essentials, and a great location. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning! We have two young children and we’re concerned about the noise, but it was extremely quiet and just steps away from a great playground where the kids had a great time. The customer service was exceptional! I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Lovely condo with beautiful view
This is a roomy one bath/one bedroom condo. It was clean and had comfy beds and quality towels. The complex is quiet and secure (but lock your car and bikes to be avoid being an easy target) The condo patio and large sliding doors overlooking the bay were the star of the show. Awesome place to read and have morning coffee. Communication with the management was easy, and they provided lots of helpful information. We did get a few ants, but if you keep things clean or in the fridge, it won’t be a problem. The check in instructions are lengthy and kinda confusing, but we eventually got in and the property manager called us back quickly when we were having issues, which I appreciate. Overall a great place to stay on the bay!!
