We choose Holiday Inn Express often because we always know we can count on cleanliness, comfort, & friendly staff. Clarksville's HI had friendly staff, clean room, & comfortable beds. However they had removed the hairdryer in bathroom (I didn't pack mine because they always have one), there were only two tissues in the tissue box, no ink pen in the room, and no Kerig coffee for the coffee maker.
Good hotel, it was very clean and all staff we encountered were very nice and friendly. We are pulling an enclosed trailer and had plenty of room to park it. Hotel is right off of I-40. Breakfast was good.
Like the last HIE it was really nice. Different window cover then the Santa Rosa, so bring a clothes pin to keep curtains closed of you don't was light to come in. At check in they had cookies (which I always enjoy). Staff was great. Bed, pillows, microwave, fridge, Keurig. Shower and towels were nice. Breakfast again lots to choose from. Will stay again. All the HIE we have been in is 3-floors, we usually stay on the bottom but have switched to top floor so we don't have anyone over our head. Long as there is an elevator, which there is.
We were travelling and trying to make it to Little Rock but were tired. We have used the Holiday Inn Express in Vidor, TX, before and knew they were usually very clean. We stopped at about 7:30pm on a weekday night, and they had rooms. There were 3 of us, and we wanted two rooms close to each other. They gave us two rooms with connecting doors down at the end of the hall...............perfect. We opened the doors and used each other's bathrooms. The room had a microwave, a refrigerator, and a coffeemaker. The rooms were larger than most 2-queen bed rooms, and the bathrooms were very clean. We went down for breakfast the next morning, and we were expecting a continental breakfast. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, and all the other usual foods. It was a great and delicious surprise. We stayed a few days before Easter, and the lobby was decorated with rabbits, eggs, etc. I commented on how cute the decorated lobby was, and they told me that the owners loved to decorate for all the holidays/seasons.
The room was clean and comfortable - king suite with microwave and fridge. Breakfast tasted great. Especially the Omelets. There was a lot of variety available. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is easy to access from 40.
I usually stay at Holiday Inn Expresses when travelling. I'm a picky sleeper and I have found that HIEs are usually consistent in the quality of hotel and mattress comfort. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in this HIE. The hotel looked nice, was clean, and the staff was very nice. The room was clean, but their was a big stain on the floor in front of my bed (room 221). The mattress was a disappointment. It was not comfortable. Also, the clock was very complicated. I tried to reset the time (it had not been reset for daylight savings time), and I'm going to guess that is because no one else could figure it out either. One other thing that I know would be impossible to fix because it deals with the way the building is built, but is a problem: In the room, you can hear everyone on the upper floor walking up and down the hallway and shutting doors. The walls and floors seem really thin. The shower was fantastic. I could stay in it all day. The breakfast was as expected.
The rooms were nice and clean. No strange smells. The hotel front desk were very accomidating. The food was good as well. Thank you Holiday Inn Clarksville. It was a difficult trip coming for a funeral but you made it so much better.
We traveled across in April/May of 2016. We stayed at Holiday Inn Express when available. The Clarksville location was the nicest we visited. Rooms were very clean. The desk clerk was able to describe restaurants and activities in great detail. The breakfast was great.
Another great stay. The front desk employees are very nice and helpful. We usually get the suite room. A tad disappointed this trip. The suite was showing it's age. The dresser was in bad shape. We were not able to use one of the drawers. I asked for more hangers and the front desk quickly brought some to the room. Might be time for some renovating. But no matter, the hotel is our go to when we come to town and we love the front desk staff and so we will keep coming back. The breakfast buffet is ok. I understand it being free your not going to get top notch food. But it's nice they have it when there is no time for anything else. If you're in town and want extra room to stretch out, then this is for you. The suite has a sitting area with a couch and chair to relax on. We will be back!
We drove an extra 74 miles to stay at a Holiday Inn Express on the last night of our vacation, making our drive time that day a long 13 hours. This was the best HIE we have ever visited. Everything was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and looked brand new. The best thing of all were the pillowtop mattresses! The ceilings were high and the room, spacious. The only thing was the tub ran slow but that was a quick fix once we reported it to the employee at the front desk. I can't recommend this particular hotel highly enough. It was the perfect stay at the end of a long trip and a stay that we hope to repeat in the near future.
