Didn’t sleep for the 2 nights we stayed. The first night (our room on this wall wasn’t shared with another room) just a loud banging every 5-10 minutes or so. It lasted all night long but never heard it during the day. Just so incredibly loud. The floor in our room was incredibly dirty and Sticky. Made sure to wear socks and they are just black. We knew it was a historical hotel and everything was cool to see and the room itself didn’t bother us jsut the fact that that was so dirty. The worst thing was I woke up with a bug crawling on me. That’s a deal breaker for me and completely ruined it. I felt so gross and that contributed to my not being able to sleep just staying up to make sure bugs didn’t get on my kids.
Staff is so loud in the hall early! Up and down so early. Very unfortunate for a hotel that has a night life.
The location is good.
They are doing repairs to the building right now.
Great stay and location.
Historic downtown Hot Springs is right outside your door
walking distance from restaurants and car valet service ran quickly and perfect. We did not like the broken elevators, even had to take stairs a few times because lines were so long to use the only working elevator. the restaurant was HOT no air working and the gym amenities were non existent.
The main are in the hotel is nice but once you head to your room, it smells old and funky. The room was dated, which is totally fine since it's an older hotel. The issues are with maintenence, the blackout curtain had small holes all in it and they put spackling compound on it to try and cover the holes, instead of replacing. Ac unit worked well, but it was very rusty and the just painted right over it. The walls had patched up holes that was done terribly and not even painted. If they would repair things properly, it would be a cool hotel. Will not stay here again. This is an honest and sincere opinion of my stay just 3 days ago
History and architecture
The pool was very nice. I chose this hotel because it’s one of the historic hotels of America. I was disappointed that this hotel had not been renovated. We noticed pealing paint and cracked walls. The gal on the haunted tour made fun of the room numbers not matching. I’m sure it will be beautiful once renovated.
Out dated
Everything was great expect a large group decided to have a party in the hallway till 1:00AM. Asked them to stop and go into a room, they didn’t. Called the front desk, and either they asked and the party didn’t stop or they never asked.
The hotel rooms are very rustic and old. It is an interesting place to stay and for the price, it worked. Its location is the only reason I would stay there again.
Rooms are dated and bathrooms need refreshing
The Arlington is a great historic venue that is perfectly located on Central. Everything is well within walking distance. The rooms are old so do not go in expecting 5 star accommodations. However that is the intrigue of the hotel. You feel like upon entering the building you have walked back in time to much simpler times.
Very quaint hotel but, definitely needs some updates
