Candlewood Suites Roswell New Mexico

Beds

The stay would have been better and the value would be there if the bed was comfortable but for the price I paid I would expect better quality.

Simple Rewards Inn

Older Looking, one story roadside motel.

Located on north main st. in Roswell. This single story, roadside motel is in dire need of exterior upgrades. definitely looking its age. Dark colors outside, and in the small Lobby. Owners were friendly though, and offer free popcorn and soda pop in the lobby for their guests. My room was big, with dark fairly newer looking carpet, with a full size refrigerator in mine. Dim overhead lighting, and fluorescent bulbs in the lamps. Bed was a King size, and not to bad comfort wise. And thankfully, the AC worked excellent, which is needed for the hot desert heat in Roswell. Bathroom, tub and shower wasn't bad at all. Looked like newer shower wall tile, and clean. Over all, the room, bathroom, bed and sheets, looked clean, although dark, like I mentioned. Also thankful that the room was a non-smoking room, and did not smell of cigarette smoke, like some converted to "non-smoking" rooms you'll find at other places. They had a swimming pool, but the water had a green tint to it, and did not look used in a while. Pretty much an eye sore really, and needs tons of work there! Over all though, of you need a place on the cheap (priced a little high for that kind of place, but figured it was because it was an event weekend in town there. But not to bad of a place if you just need to crash overnight. Better places in town to stay in, especially If traveling as a family, but if you're a single guy traveling on business or pleasure... and if you're in a pinch for a room...

Super 8 by Wyndham Roswell

Moderately priced, easy access

We found the room to be clean, with good towels and comfy bed. We often choose Super 8 because it carries TCM TV network and we enjoy old movies without the violence of premium channels.
