Just concluded an exceptional weekend at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown Richmond. Big thanks to the staff for creating such a welcoming environment. In particular, I would like to recognize Manuel “Manny” for the exceptional service he provided. He took great care to accommodate my requests and did so with a smile. My first encounter with him was over the phone and his professionalism and personality really shined through. When I arrived at the hotel, he greeted me by name and continued to shine as a professional and a human being. He was a joy to interact with. I will certainly be visiting the area again and the Marriott Courtyard Downtown Richmond will always be my preferred location, thanks to the fantastic staff, especially Manuel!

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel for our yearly move to a new apartment with our son who attends VCU . It is always great to stay here . All employees are so helpful . This is the first time we ate at the Bistro and it was excellent. The Starbucks coffee was yummie. The courtyard was lovely and my husband and myself enjoyed ourselves as we read the newspaper and just relaxed and sat in the cool evening breeze. Thank you to all the staff for a great stay.

The Courtyard is well located and close to the Capital and central Richmond sights. Hotel staff was, for the most part, amazing and welcoming: every thank you from me to them was unfailingly met with the response “It is my privilege.” Don’t forget to check out the small, attached Freedom Museum focusing on the freedoms outlined in the Bill of Rights and built on the spot where Virginia’s religious tolerance act was signed nearly four hundred years ago.

We are from the north so perhaps the friendly staff is the norm down in Richmond but we were very impressed. The valet, woman at the desk and manager were all so nice. Rooms are clean and bathroom roomy. I loved the pump dispensers on the tub wall. We didn’t use the cafe area but it looked nice.

Very good service at a good location. The room and the bathroom were very comfortable with a modern decor. I only wished that the room had more natural light. Personnel was helpful and empathetic. Food was OK.

Nice atmosphere, very clean, friendly staff, and close to many downtown restaurants and attractions. Parking is an additional fee of $27 a night which was not mentioned when booking, no room service, no prices on the Bistro menu located in main lobby, and the bed was much too firm for my back. Rooms do not have views of the city, views of an alley or side street.

I was in town with my team meeting with local media suppliers. We had back to back meetings scheduled on the hour for two days and the Courtyard Marriott Downtown team made it so easy for us. There were plenty of meeting spaces and lots of opportunities for a change of scenery (outside, inside, high tables at the Bistro, couches in the back). BIG shout out to Allen Lowery and Joe D. at the front desk for directing suppliers over to us and making us look so professional and organized. Their kindness was much appreciated in our unique situation.

The rooms were nice and the staff was wonderful. They went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. The only criticism would be the noise from the bar across the street was a bit much but it was the weekend so we didn’t need to be up early for anything. Wish there was a pool but it was ok. The area was nice with lots of places to eat and explore. I’d stay there again.

Arrived on the first day and the remote control did not work. Called down to the front desk and they said they would send another one up. After an hour and not receiving the remote, I called back down and 30 minutes later I got a new remote. Later that night I realized that there was only one half of a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. The next morning I called down at 7:00 am and they said they would send some up. By 9:00, I still had not received toilet paper so my wife ran by the front desk and they told her that they had sent it to the wrong room and they would send some right up. At 10:15, the maid service knocked on the door to clean the room. I told her that I needed toilet paper and towels but that was it. I Told her that I called downstairs 3 hours ago. She said to wait a second, I guess she didn't have any on her cart. I stood in the doorway with the door open and she was gone for about 5 minutes. She came back and said that they had delivered it to the wrong room and told me some would be up in a minute. Eventually, she knocked on the door and I got the toilet paper.

Decided to stay here for a night out. Hotel close to some nice restaurants. Easy access to highway. Staff was friendly. Only issue I had is my wife said when heat turned on it smelled a bit funny. I did not notice.
