Very comfortable beds and great shower

The room smelled damp, the bed was broken, there was hair in the toilet, ripped carpet in the room. The vending area in the lobby was horrible, no water for sale because the refrigerator was broken so they had nothing cold to drink...the 2 brands of sodas were warm.

1. I stay at Hyatt Place in other cities. Mostly in St Pete. I stayed there Aug 1st. I was offered eggs cooked as part of my breakfast, it was prepared in a bowl by a staff member. It was not cooked to order, but it was a hot breakfast. 2. Fast Forward to Richmond, NO EGGS, NO HOT FOOD other than if i Want to make my own waffle or eat oatmeal. I do NOT eat any of that. There was zero for me to eat for breakfast short of a fattening bagel and cream cheese. I paid a premium over other hotels to stay here because I have come to really like Hyatt Place hotels for the value, cleanliness and breakfast quality. This was a BIG let down, plus there was a wedding party that Sat night, they put us on the same FLOOR as the damn wedding party and the noise didn't stop till MIDNIGHT. I will never stay at this Hyatt Place again and may reconsider other hotels in different cities in the future. I used to LOVE your hotel. It was perfect, then you went down market with this particular Hyatt Place which is OLD and refurbished, no central AC, just a noisey old system from 1985. This property needs a complete overhaul to reach the standards that I have come to expect from Hyatt Place. I should get a damn refund for all the issues. The only POSITIVE thing I can say, is ...YOUR STAFF were great to us. They were really nice. I did not complain at the hotel. Too many people around and didnt want to argue.

I had to ask several times for toilet paper, towels and for the trash to be changed bc it was full. It was never done and I had to do everything myself.

The bed were horrible. You could feel the springs and kept sinking into the middle of the bed.

Easy check in. Room was clean and comfortable

The property is older, so some of the couches, chairs (walls) are not necessarily dirty, but just worn and older. But overall it was fine. I did not have a choice of hotels, I had to stay here for work, but I would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, which makes any stay more palatable.
