We stayed here over the Easter weekend and were very disappointed. Unfortunately everywhere else was sold out due to the soccer tournament or we would have moved. Our “non-smoking” room smelled like smoke and we didn’t have hot water. At 10 pm they sent someone to fix the water, and it worked for about a minute. We ended up having to switch rooms after unpacking the whole family and kitchen food/drinks we brought. The second room had ants, so we had to keep everything in the refrigerator. The bathrooms are very small and outdated. Next time in Richmond we will choose another hotel.

Not fancy but well managed by good people. Our suite was very large and I liked the floor plan for our family very much. The rooms were very clean and fresh; I believe that it’s an older property that is maintained very well. Good breakfast; we appreciate those waffles and the hot coffee. Good location for parents visiting U of Richmond on a budget.

I frequent the area weekly and always prefer this Marriott. The staff are very friendly, go out of their way to help you. The renovated rooms are nice, it’s clean, quiet, safe and close to everything! I’ve never had a bad experience here!

We stopped for the night when visiting the Botanical Gardens. Unit was newly renovated. Couldn't have been cleaner. Only drawback is the units are set up as 4-6 units per building. Walking to them at night was a bit uncomfortable. Good breakfast, included as well.

I spent the night here while visiting my daughter in Richmond. My room was ready when I arrived, and check in was very quick. The room was large, with a full kictchen, a sitting area with a sofa, bed and bathroom. Very quiet at night. Breakfast in the lobby was well stocked with a very good selection of foods: yogurt, fresh fruits, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausage, breads, bagels and pastries, hot oatmeal, and waffles.

Early Residence Inn edition that desperately needs remodel. Room had ants and other insects. Small lobby area for breakfast so hard to eat with family. Located in a transitional area. Room wasn't ready on time.

Book for an overnight stop on the way to Myrtle Beach. Quick check-in. Upgraded to a suite at check-in, which was greatly appreciated after 6 hrs of driving. Denny's restaurant nearby (they deliver). Wonderful hot continental breakfast offered. Ample parking.

I️ stayed here from 10/30-11/1 to have a comfortable spot for my toddler as he recovered from tonsil/adenoid surgery. I️ reserved the 1 Br Penthouse Loft , I️ called for early check in at 1pm but the room wasn’t ready yet, however 45 mins later the hotel called and stated an Executive Loft was available right away. There’s a bed downstairs and another bed upstairs in the loft. Great for a guest. We checked in early and my son was able to rest and relax. Family stopped by and brought food, the kitchen was very clean and had all of the essentials. As usual, Marriott properties have the softest coolest pillows ever. I️ loved how the hotel responds to the “text message” feature. It took about 15-20 mins but I️ was surprised they responded to answer my questions or request m. I️ would give them a 10 but I️ will do an 8. I️ didn’t like the buckling and cracks in the walls and ceiling. It probably was some water damage but it looked really bad. Also there were beds and tables outside of the rooms outside. I️ think they were painting some of the units but it made the hotel look sketchy, I️ was embarrassed when my family arrived and asked why there were mattresses leaning on the side of buildings outside. I️ understand they probably had them out so someone could work inside of the building. Overall I️ enjoyed my trip and my young toddler was super comfortable, which is what I️ wanted all along. I️ would return here and I️ would recommend to family and friends.

Stayed here for one night to visit the University of Richmond. We got a basic suite and it had a full kitchen, sofa bed and TV, desk, bed and bathroom. Very spacious and clean but basic. The room was newly remodeled and the sofa bed had never been used since the mattress was still wrapped in plastic. This was nice, but there were no sheets and it was very late so we took the comforter and sheet off the main bed to use. The TV also made a weird noise but these things were very minor. The bathroom was clean and the hotel was quiet. Very good choice for our trip!

In town for a sporting event. Our room was near the pool as requested. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great . Pool was great for the kids. Noise level was low. Building exteriors need some updating and painting, but that did not affect our stay. Hotel is near several food options and close to highway. Staff was very polite throughout our stay . Buildings 4 and 5 are at front of property if you would like to be near pool, sport court and or lobby for breakfast. Will stay again.
