In town for a sporting event. Our room was near the pool as requested. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great . Pool was great for the kids. Noise level was low. Building exteriors need some updating and painting, but that did not affect our stay. Hotel is near several food options and close to highway. Staff was very polite throughout our stay . Buildings 4 and 5 are at front of property if you would like to be near pool, sport court and or lobby for breakfast. Will stay again.
I was quite frazzled when I arrived after a very long trip around the Washington Belt loop. The friendly faces of the welcoming staff made me feel much better. All the rooms are spread out like an apartment complex and give you lots of privacy. The room was very clean and breakfast was delicious. I will stay again.
Stayed 2 nights in the Penthouse suite. The rooms and beds was very cleaned, the carpets are old was faded, the bathrooms was dated but cleaned. the grounds was well maintained, and the location was very quite. I did notice that renovations was in progress. I will recommend this place to anyone and will used them again in my travels.
We did a road trip and stayed in several hotels and this one was by far the best, hands down. We stayed in the penthouse suite, which sleeps 6 comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed in each, and 2 bathrooms. The living room has a pull out couch which sleeps another 2. And there is a full kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge freezer. Nice amount of counter space. I wish we were staying longer! Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is like going to a restaurant. If you are coming with a family, look no further, you have found your place. This is now my go to place for Richmond, Virginia.
The friendliest place I have stayed on this 2 and a half week trip!! Loved it! Clean and comfortable. Conveniently located... restaurants nearby. Very friendly , helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again!
Room was clean, staff was courteous and attentive. Pool looked nice and does have a fire pit but was too exhausted from the drive to enjoy it. Bed was aliitle firm but did the job . Breakfast was very good. Will definitely go back on any further trips to the OBX.
Hotel is exactly what we needed for a longer term stay. Staff was nice and gym well equipped. Rooms are old but price is right. The area is getting upscale shopping and looks to be getting better. 2 bedroom suites are the 2 floor type no problem for me.
Room was nice and a good size for one of their smaller rooms. Well stocked with clean dishes and glasses to use. This place feels more like renting a condo for a short duration instead of a hotel room. We did not use maid service but the front desk attendants were very helpful with all of our needs. I will stay here again.
This is an AWESOME hotel - more like a home away from home!!! The hotel is made up of multiple 2-story buildings, each with 4 suites that look like your own private apartment. Ours had one large room with a bed at one end, a nice loveseat and TV (and a large closet) in the middle, and a nicely sized kitchen with full-size appliances and a bar with two chairs. There was a very large dressing area with a lot of counter space and a sink, and a separate bathroom with toilet and shower. Room was VERY clean. The hot breakfast was extensive and very satisfying: scrambled eggs, french toast sticks, ham, sausage, oatmeal, assorted bagels and pastries, waffle iron with at least 6 flavors of syrups, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, coffee with lovely flavorings, and assorted juices. The pool looks nice although it was being prepared for the season so could not be used when we were there. Doesn't look like much shade at the pool. All of the staff was friendly and very attentive, from the front desk clerk to the housekeeping staff. They went out of their way to make sure every aspect of our stay was pleasant. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and would DEFINITELY stay here again!!! Great job with this property, Marriott!
Hands down, the staff is the friendliest we have encountered in our three month traveled cross country. While everyone provided top-notch service, Monica Whitted, front office manager, deserves a special shout-out for her exceptional service. She remembers her guests and treats them like family. The breakfast can't be beat for this level hotel, and Brenda makes sure everyone is happy with their free breakfast. The rooms are well sized and clean. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Great job!!!!!
