We stayed at the hotel as a family of 4 (2 teens) and booked the double queen room with sofa bed. The room was large enough to accommodate our family. Kids enjoyed the pool and water slide and husband enjoyed the fitness room. The hotel is situated close to a huge shopping centre, which is great. Clean and modern hotel with friendly staff.
In Regina for business, IHG member but never stayed here before. Was greeted by friendly staff upon arrival and even contacted after I had been in the room for an hour to see how the room was. Next morning stopped by the front desk and talked to Ganiyat about the temperature in my room and that it was very warm. Said I had to run the AC even though the outside temp was in the minus 15's. She said she would send maintenance to have a check. Upon arriving back later that day she informed me that the technician had replaced the wall stat and to let her know how it was now. When I entered my room it was again up to 78 degrees so I called and she said that it was unacceptable so she promptly moved me to a different room. After that all was good with the room and I was very happy with Ganiyat's effort to make my stay comfortable. Stayed there 4 nights and will now be my go to hotel in Regina.
Stayed for just a few hours in March as our flight into Regina was delayed so we checked in during the wee hours of the morning. Upon arrival the two folks working the front desk were WONDERFUL. They were cheerful, funny and seemed genuinely glad we were there; at 2 a.m. after 22 hours of travel and navigating through knee deep snow in an unknown town, they made us feel like it was all worth it. They even took the time to enroll one of the members of my party in the rewards program while ensuring the other member received credit for the stay. There is a nice sundry shop near the check in desk. We had to leave early the next morning so I we did not check out any of the other amenities. The room was spacious and clean; the shower had great pressure and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
First off let me say that I really enjoy this hotel. I stay in Regina every 3 or 4 months and this is the hotel I choose most often. There is an attached restaurant that serves excellent breakfasts for a very good price. The hotel itself is also a very good value with friendly staff, recent renovations, lots of parking, and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, the shower heads, while seemingly good quality, make a screeching noise that is unlike any other you've heard. And it isn't just one room, I have stayed in many different rooms and the same thing happens quite frequently. I have spoken with the front desk, and I have answered their online surveys with information about this and nothing has changed. I was hoping to attach attach a video so you know what I'm talking about, but it seems as though I can only attach photos. Hopefully Holiday Inn will see this post and do finally something about this. My recommendation is for their hotel management to spot check several rooms so they can hear for themselves. Don't avoid the hotel, but if your showerhead makes the same screeching noise, try pushing the little plunger down a little bit to reduce water pressure to the head. That might do the trick.
Stayed there 2 nights was was great stay. rooms were spacious and well arranged. Close proximity to great restaurants. Staff was very good and helpful.Only thing is they do not offer breakfast but they do have an option of 1 Dollar breakfast with Perkins
Easy access off Trans Canada1. Checked-in with ease after a stressfull drive. Beds/pillows comfy, bathroom toiletries supplied. Coffee maker, fridge, microwave in room. Well equipped gym with pool and water slide. Does not offer any type of breakfast like they use too, no restaurant in hotel.
Rude staff, dirty rooms, perpetual construction, what a mess! We have stayed here several times and it just keeps getting worse every time we stay. We have given up and will be staying elsewhere in the future.
Stayed for a couple nights for a family weekend. Booked this location because the had a pool/waterslide/hot tub, and it is part of the IHG Rewards program. When we arrived the hotel was under renovations and I was surprised that there wasn’t a continental breakfast but the hotel was attached to a Denny’s. The room was ok with new carpet and bedding. The second night we thought we would enjoy the pool area. When we got there we were the only ones there, except the pool guy, who was on duty. I turned on the hot tub and crawled in, while I was in the tub the pool guy tested the water a couple times no big deal. Another gentleman came in and while we were still in there the water was checked again. I looked around the tub and noticed a 2” ring of hair/dirt/scum(photo)and we jumped out. I warned the other people who had just arrived. While we were still in the area the water was tested two more times and the filter check. The pool guy even just ran his hands around the tub to stir off or up the filth. I reported it to the front desk and they reported it to the pool guy and put the tub out of order for a total of 15 minutes max. We all went back to the room for hot showers and hoped we hadn’t caught anything. Not the standards I expect from a Holiday Inn. Schedule to be back in Regina in a couple weeks and think I will be scrambling to find a room for Agribition as it won’t be at this Holiday Inn.
Stayed Oct 20 to 22 in room 327. No major concerns. Check in and check out are very quick. The gym is tiny but fine . Recently renovated and very clean Food is very good and restaurant right on site The only weird thing is room service comes with a note to either call them or leabe your tray outside your door for cleanup. I didn't feel like calling and left it out my door and it was still there 23 hours later until I mentioned to the nice front desk lady. Otherwise all was great and I will stay here for future trips
My wife and I were driving from Winnipeg to Saskatoon to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with her Mom. We were close to midnight getting to Regina...very tired...and decided to stay there. We'd stayed once before in this hotel doing the same trip. So we took a chance, called ahead to the system reservation desk, and booked a room. When we arrived, the construction underway in the entryway made getting to the reception desk a bit awkward. But not as awkward as discovering that we'd accidentally committed to stay the night at another ( the "South") Holiday Inn. Not the location (the "East") we wanted at all. The very helpful night receptionist...his name was Mo...called the other hotel once the surprise of our not having a reservation was dealt with...after we realized our mistake. He overcame some initial resistance from the other hotel's night receptionist and got the credit card payment we'd made transferred to his location. So we could stay where we wanted to. Such a small, simple service. But so important at midnight, when you're tired. And a little embarrassed by your own mistake. And worried about being forced into an overnight hotel experience you didn't plan for, and didn't want. When you feel a little vulnerable and uncertain... Thanks, Mo. You deserve recognition for your kindness and your professionalism.
