Great Access to All the Fun
We thoroughly enjoyed our 12-day stay in the Puerto Morelos area. Having the pool directly across the street from our El Faro location was like an extension of our living space. The residence is mostly ready to enjoy, but I did bring a few extra items from home (facecloths, dish towels) and a clothesline and clothespins would be handy additions. We appreciated having the bikes available, the wi-fi, and the fresh water dispenser. There were a few little glitches on the first day, but these were addressed promptly. Jose Antonio responded quickly to my earlier emails and also to texts once we had our phone ready. His suggestions were helpful and made planning for the trip easy. We rented a car so we could travel beyond Puerto Morelos, but public transportation is also available. The local caretaker cleaned the residence a week into our vacation and she did a great job. She also met us on arrival and checked us out on our final day. This was a little tricky as we did not speak Spanish, but we managed with gestures, pointing and a translation app. Perhaps having some written instructions posted in the house would be helpful for future guests. We would happily return to 28 Palancar in the future. We enjoyed the people, the restaurants and many things to see and do.
