Very nice hotel and helpful people ,, very close to Brown University

People at front desk was really kind, there is parking place, you need to pay 28 usd, it is very well located..

Hotel location was great for college visits the next day with my daughter and staff very friendly Breakfast was great as well

It was a very nice business stay. All were very courteous and friendly. The amenities were very nice and the room was very clean. One ddity was that I hung my towel on the rack as the sign suggested I do to save water. upon my return tot eh room later that evening I found the towel to have been removed and replaced with a clean one. Folks aren't reading their own signs. I also, had a weird and inexplicable charge to my room. No one could explain what it was nor remove it until a manger came on later in the day. I returned later to find they had been able to remove the inexplicable charge. But no one contacted me perky request. Not a big deal. Just some of the time spent could have been avoided with that call. Overall, a very good stay. Again, I call the billing issue anomalous. I've stayed at countless facilities in this chain. This was a first. I do recommend a stay here.

Nice hotel & Hamptons are always well maintained. Downtown is kind if quiet but Waterford is nice. Valet parking was a great convenience.

The best part of our stay was the hotel's location. It was exactly where we needed to be. And the free breakfast offered was nice. The hotel itself was old and run-down looking. There were long black hairs in the bathtub when we arrived. There were cheap looking sticky notes on each bed indicating the sheets were clean. I just assumed that was a "given", so the note was a bit disconcerting. The ice machines on 2 floors were broken and the vending machines were not stocked and/or out of order. The hotel no longer has room service available. The front desk person brought ice to my room in a trash sack. Which was nice, but definitely less than classy. There were no glasses available in the rooms. Just cheap paper cups that dissolved quickly when filled with liquid. The fridge in the room did not work. I definitely don't feel like it was worth the money.

The staff at the Hampton Inn in downtown Providence was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was an excellent location for visiting universities in Providence, and for exploring the city. We could do everything on foot and didn't need to use our car once we were there.

Highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Downtown. Beautiful location, complimentary breakfasts, comfortable room. Four out of five stars.

We stayed at Hampton Inn and Suites Providence Downtown last week for visiting my sister graduation. It's located nearby Rhode Island School of Design at the center of downtown. I pretty much appreciated with the hotel location, except that it's okay no fancy.

The hotel is very new, so the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is in a remodeled historic building, which not only makes for a lovely breakfast area just off the lobby, which is really only a front desk, but the hotel is very quiet - even when my room was right across from the elevator. I am talking so close that the elevator would come and go before my room door had even swung shut. I think it might be the old, thick walls, but in any case, it was blissfully quiet. The breakfast was very complete. I did not use the gym. It is a little off the beaten path, but being that Providence is a small city, this means maybe 3-4 blocks away. I ate at 10 Pine which was right around the corner as was a pub, so there are at least a few restaurants that are very convenient. The room was a nice size. Neutrogena toiletries, no tub in the bath but a large shower. The staff was very friendly and efficient, but I had not problems to deal with, only checking in and checking out. Overall a nice place to stay.

One night stay. Super friendly staff, great location. my wife and I were able to see a lot of the city surrounding the JWU campus all on foot. recommend it if you want to explore downtown Providence.

very helpful staff and very friendly and curtious. Good food with a good selection of choices on the menu.

Stayed here in January for a concert at the Dunkin Donuts center. The concert was just a short walk away. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location for this hotel is perfect if you are doing anything downtown. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is just a short walking distance from the Convention Center with plenty of restaurants and sandwhich shops in the vicinity. The room was very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. The complimentary breakfast was much more than I expected. It was excellent! The hotel staff was also friendly and ready to assist us with any questions or requests.

It was fine for one night. The bed was comfortable and the shower drained well. The internet cord was too short and there was no fridge in the room.

Perfect location a short walk from RISD. Nice Breakfast room.

Clean, comfortable, very cheery and helpful front desk staff, nice little gym in the basement.

Perfect. Warm choc chip cookies when I checked in, a very comfortable bed with a nice duvet and lots of pillows. Shower had good pressure and curved rod for extra room. And a complimentary breakfast the next morning. Perfect!

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was beautiful, and the staff were over the top helpful and nice. It was a great experience!

Among the many fancy hotels in downtown providence, the Hampton serves as a convenient and nice destination. Located in the heart of downtown, the Hampton inn is walking distance from all of the restaurants and shopping, and a better deal than many other options of hotels downtown. In addition to this, there was a wonderful free breakfast served, and free wifi in the room. Would definitely stay here again.
