Very short stay, just one night, but it was lovely. I will definitely plan a longer stay here next time! The claw foot tub was wonderful. I stayed in one of the king rooms on the 2nd floor. It was clean and comfortable and quiet.
The neighborhood is very quiet. The BnB is nice. But decor may need a little upgrade.
We had a very wonderful stay at the guest house for one night. It was very close to everything "Portland". Best self-serve b&b I've ever stayed at.
A nice, quiet place! And I mean quiet. Despite the place being entirely booked, we only saw one other person during our whole stay. No staff to greet you or check you in, just emailed and texted instructions on door access code and how to get to your room. Our check-in info on the bed was for the wrong room but we figured it out. Extra towels were easily found in the hallway. No TV or anything that makes noise, but wireless available. We noted the breakfast options included gluten-free varieties, but were already on our way to a brunch restaurant. I appreciated that they were available, though. The building is just incredible and the first impression view really does take your breath away! A bit spendy for a place with not much in the way of amenities, but it was perfect for our one-night needs. And for lodging in this quadrant of Portland, it was a cut above the rest.
Beautiful inn and room in a lovely neighborhood. Only downside was facing a busy road so traffic did get a bit noisy in the morning. Still got a good night's sleep and enjoyed the views of the big trees.
Perfect place to stay in Portland to get a historical, local feel of this fun town, while also getting the comfort of a nice hotel room. It's a little hard to find if you're checking in after dark, but I'd gladly stay there again. Also enjoyed walking from there to some fun vintage shops close by as well as having a great breakfast at unassuming and delicious Tom's Restaurant.
