Pleasant and efficient staff at check in. Room is very nice and larger than expected for a standard room- pleasantly surprised! Nice lobby, hallways and gym. Overall an elegant, clean, comfortable place to stay.
Perfectly nice former-Westin. Area didn’t seem to have much to recommend it, though it was close to our car rental, so there’s that. Beware: they slipped a $20 ‘amenities charge’ onto the bill. For ‘breakfast’ (which they don’t offer), gym (we didn’t use) and WiFi (also didn’t use, since we were never given the codes). The manager seemed happy to remove the charge—but watch for it. I wouldn’t have known about it until I got home if I hadn’t asked for a printed copy of the bill.

We had a wonderful stay. The desk person who checked us in was delightful, the room is comfortable, and the location is perfect. I have some slight nitpicks about how the room was arranged but we loved it and want to come back.
I was spending the weekend in Portland from Minnesota. I checked into the Dossier late on Friday night. I was greeted outside by there friendly Valet. Once inside the front desk receptionist were nothing less than friendly. Check in was quick and a breeze. The room was clean. There isn't one thing I could complain about. Definitely will stay again on my next trip to Portland.
Fast and easy checkin, friut and cool drink at checkin was nice. Met all our needs with quiet room on a high floor in the hotel.

A group of us stayed at Dossier while in Portland for our friend's wedding. Part of the group arrived around noon. I arrived ~3PM hoping to check-in and get ready for the evenings' wedding festivities. We pre-checked in, but we were informed that our room was not ready and that the official check-in time was at 4PM. We came back at 4PM and the room was still not available - our group waited in the lobby until 4:30 and none of the rooms were available; yet, folks that arrived after us were given a room. We ended up changing in the lobby restroom and leaving for the rehearsal without having a room. Part of the group arrived back at 6:30PM prior to the rehearsal dinner to check on the rooms and none were available. This was incredibly disappointing. Our room was also not cleaned the following day while we were away at the wedding for unclear reasons. And another couple in our group ended up needing to switch rooms due to a leaking ceiling. Upon check-out the front desk manager did waive the resort fee for my room; the others in our group (who checked out later in the day) did not get their resort fees waived.
This is a super-nice hotel. The only thing that would make it better is an in-room coffee maker.
Being in the center of downtown was very convenient
Very visible black mold was all over in the walls and corners of the shower booth.
