We stayed there last week. All of the staff we talked to was really cool... But Melissa was a rock star! Talking to her was like hanging out with family. She turned a Residence Inn into a memory...and we will return! Thank you Melissa, Frank & Denise
Last minute change on my trip to Manila with a tight connection in Portland so I used Marriott points to stay at the Residence Inn at Cascade Station to catch a flight out the next day! So glad I made that decision to not hassle with a tight connection. This location is perfect - quiet and offers a free airport shuttle. Got into Portland after 10pm, called the hotel and was greeted with "we have been expecting you!". Gave me directions on where to pick up the shuttle and an approximate time for arrival which worked well. About a 10 minute drive to the hotel - check-in was a breeze including arranging the shuttle to airport for next day- room was spacious and quiet. Not much of a view but beautiful sunrise out my window the next morning. Breakfast was busy but vast selection of foods, juices, coffee, fruit, etc. Had a plentiful meal and waited outside in the cool morning air for the shuttle to the airport. Very beautiful grounds and watched a few planes come in over the hotel - amazingly quiet for the closeness. Shuttle dropped me at the airport and off I go to Narita airport on my way to Manila. Highly recommend this hotel if you need a good night's sleep near the PDX airport.
Located in an excellent area, close to both the airport and the light rail. There is even a target and some fast food in walking distance. Staff were all friendly - decor updated, and the breakfast was good. We are Marriott Gold members and were upgraded to two bedroom, two bath suite. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We stayed here simply for a night after landing at 10:30 pm at PDX. Our room was large, comfortable and the hotel is right off of the TriMet so easy access to public transportation. The breakfast was a step above the usual Marriott breakfasts, including Brie cheese and several hot dishes. I kind of wish we had more time here!
We fly infrared fire mapping missions for the US Forest Service. Our schedule is at night. We check in at 4 am and check out at 7 pm that same day so the flight crew can get proper rest. We always pay for 2 rooms because of this schedule. When we left to fly missions on 09/02/2017 our final destination was Sacramento. As we began to prepare the plane we discovered a serious electrical problem that grounded us for the night. I called to see if our rooms were still available, as we had already paid for them Not only were they available but Brandon S. gave us an extra day so we could get proper rest. He could have renewed our reservations and charged us an extra fee but he waived it and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you Brandon S. for your great attitude and understanding. You "saved" us and made our night a better one. National Infrared operations Crew for N149Z "Firescan 49"
Thanks to coutyard for setting up the meals and beverages three nights a week. Big shoutout to kimber and felicity for taking care of us all during these events. Very friendly efficient service, thank you.
This is always our favorite hotel to stay when we visit Portland. Very comfortable, clean and the social events during the week are nice. Great breakfast too. The manager on this trip was very helpful in getting us set up to mail a package that would not fit in our luggage. Fantastic hotel and terrific staff!
This is my second stay at this hotel - I purposely booked my stay here because I loved it so much last time and I feel so much at home here. This time I drove (instead of flying in and taking the MAX from PDX). It was easy to get here from the I-5, and there was ample parking in front of the hotel. Check in was fast - and I even got a room upgrade (one bedroom, king room with a fireplace). Full kitchen and TWO TVs! I'm not kidding when I say the Residence Inn brand hotels have the BEST TVs (HUGE!) and the best programming (what to watch?!) - so it was perfect for my family to have some downtime that night. It was BUSY here (I stayed here 3 days before the eclipse) but you wouldn't know it - it was very organized and well-run. Breakfast was very busy in the morning, but staff were amazing at re-filling everything and even taking requests to get things that weren't available/picked-over. It was very quiet at night (even though our room was right by the rail line on one side and the highway on the other). My only beef is that housekeeping was really noisy outside my room early in the morning. Two ladies were having a very loud conversation while cleaning the room across and beside us. I had the 'do not disturb' sign up, too...sigh. Oh well, no fault of the hotel - just some bad luck there. I feel so at home here, I would gladly return anytime!
We traveled to view the total eclipse in Silverton and used the Residence Inn as a home base. Really friendly staff - amazingly quiet - considering it's next door to the Portland airport. Our room had a fireplace - very comfy!
I had an amazing experience at this hotel. It was so clean and quiet, the breakfast was really good, and it's super convenient being right next to the MAX. Loved the rooms so much, I probably won't even look at any other hotels for my next visit.
