The best place to stay in PHUKET! Hotel perfectly located. Staff all very helpful and professional. V lounge is a must lovely place to stay including sunset point. Make sure the sun is out when you go you need to watch out for the clouds they seem to appear just when the sun is about to go down. Food is excellent with plenty of choices and good price. Now just book my next return trip for May 2018
We loved Novotel Phuket Resort it is in best location! Right across the road from the beach, a short walk to Patong city and night life but it was just out of the way of the hustle and bustle of all craziness. The staff were all beautiful people ! special thanks to Gif Pang Deer Patty Rose Yong etc...Could not fault this hotel. Breakfast buffet was just amazing ! A beautiful rang of food and freshly but fruits. Looooooved the pools with stunning view and great size. We enjoyed our stay very much!! Thnak you
Great location not too far from the night life and shops. Great view, clean rooms and happy staff. Patty the guest relations officer was very friendly and came out of her way to chat with us whenever she saw us. Alex was very helpful when my wifi would not connect. Each time I went out of the hotel I had to reconnect to the wifi which it would not do most of the time. Chef Rana's smiling face at breakfast was a welcome. He went out of his way one day to make us some Roti which was not on the menu. One suggestion would be to have Indian breads with the Indian foods instead of rice. The fruit platter at breakfast though was same everyday was a part I looked forward too. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The toaster had to have the bread go through twice to get it brown (hence I preferred to eat the roti). The BBQ and Seafood buffet had a great spread (we did not taste the other buffets but presume they are the same. The desserts at the BBQ buffet was to die for. The dessert at the Seafood was not crash hot. The Creme Caramel which I got to taste was scrumptious but by the time my group went to taste it was over and the new one was not brought out till we were leaving. I would suggest not to have the food BBQed as what they have inside is excellent.
Fantastic staff and a great location; the ingredients for a successful hotel We had a fantastic week at the Resort. Starting with an excellent buffet breakfast, great omelettes, the choice between three well serviced pools before retiring to cool of air conditioning overlooking the sea. Comfortable bed in a large room, well designed bathroom before venturing out into the mayhem of Patong! Make sure that you catch the free utility/bus back up the hill! Tour desk staff very helpful. Thank Novotel Phuket Resort ; we will be back
My visit was from 5th Aug to 8th Aug. Room was good. Location was good. 6th Aug. Went for breakfast, attitude of the staff was utterly bad. Did I owe them something? No greetings, invited me to sit and clear the used dishes left by previous guest but stop short of cleaning the table. It was so dirty until I have to get them to clean. When I do so, they gave me a super bad attitude which I am appalled. Didn't want to spoil my anniversary trip, I brush it off telling myself it's a one-off case. 8th Aug The day I check out. When I check in, no one mentioned to me the laundry bag and bathroom slippers are chargeable or else I would have ensure it is around at all times. There wasn't any laundry bag in the room except the bathroom slippers. However, it was wet and dirty after a few days of using it and I conveniently threw it away without thinking twice. Upon check out, I was like being interrogated at the front desk asking me where and when I threw it away. I told them to just charge to my account and stop questioning me over such a small amount. However, they keep calling the room service and back in asking me where and when did I throw the bathroom slippers. Oh my god, is the bathroom slippers and laundry bag so important to Novotel? Can't I just pay for it? Am I not willing to pay? Why treat guest as if they are thieves? It's so embarrassing. I suggest Novotel provide a list of what are chargeable items to allow guest to tally the items before handling over the keys to us. Who knows the next time, you are going to charge us for things that are not listed or exist in the rooms. I do not think I would want to consider Novotel again. Mind you, its a renowned hotel chain or is it not? Simply full of rubbish. Totally spoiled my anniversary trip. It is enough as far as I'm concerned.
Unforunately, the hotel is very old ( as mostly are in Patong). Refurbished before some time but still looks tired. 4 stars, on some sites 4+, even 5 ( absolute fraud). Deservs max 3*. Rooms and balconies much smaller than it looks on the photos. Although, compared to the other hotels around, it's not so bad choice. Positive is that it is placed on a small hill on the entrance to Patong. So you can avoid all the bad smells from the town sewage. Warning, immediately upon arrival, on the reception they ask you to give about 9000 Bht for deposit "warranty" ( for the case if you demolish a room, or perhaps take a bed or a bath tub with you..!).They say that they do not charge you, only keep this amount till you leave. This is a huge lie!! Your credit card is charged immediately and if you are lucky, you get this amount back a month later after you left the hotel. It is much smarter to change the money at the airport and pay them cash, so then they must give you a cash back when you are checking out! You can change back all the remained Bhts at the a/p again. Advise, if you are able to drive a scooter, rent one and drive to the beaches around. Beaches are beautiful, specially Bang Tao Beach.
Very good time spent with friends here. Beautiful hotel, friendly and professional staff. We had dinner sometimes in the hotel, various kinds of food and desserts. Very recommended for group of friends, couples and family.
Stayed ten nights in July and enjoyed our visit very much. Our package included a deluxe room (Room 408) with sea view, which was renovated and well equipped (robes, blackout curtains which minimised any road noise, some complimentary drinks and snacks, towels and carry bag for use at the beach, tea and coffee making, ice bucket refreshed on demand) plus breakfast, some complimentary massages and cocktails. Breakfast buffet was quite good, varied and frequently replenished, though the selection of cheese and cold meats was perfunctory. Worst thing at breakfast was the APPALLING tea and coffee (it was 'rubbish', as one Englishwoman commented to us!). We found the best bet was to bring a teabag from the room and make a cup using their reasonably hot water. The location of the resort is perfect, on the hillside at the northern tip of Patong town and Patong Beach. This means you are out of the noise and crowds of Patong while being only a short taxi or shuttle ride away when you need to go to shops or cafes etc. Attractive planting everywhere and very pleasant pools - two for adults, one for kids and sports, with free aquarobics sessions etc. The staff were generally friendly and helpful - especially the pool boys and our gem of a maid, Nid. We were a bit disappointed at the poor level of English spoken, however, especially by the not-very-impressive front desk staff (with a couple of honourable exceptions). At the end of our stay we asked to speak to a manager to offer some feedback on what we thought were the best and least good things about our experience, and even this manager had poor English. Since Thai and English are the main languages used at the hotel, we are not just being Anglo-centric here! Trying to talk to the front desk on the phone was pretty hopeless. BUT overall this certainly was a good place to stay.
Want to say thank you to the amazing time I could spend at Novotel Patong late July. Had a fantastic time, really loved the accomodation, never been here but happy to come back next time. Very helpful and passionate staff they have looking for any chance to help you make your holiday much better. I want to say big thanks to Pattie on front office for her passionate approach to me, helping when needed. I really enjoyed the poolside with its little bar and tasty cocktails, making it great to chill. +++++++++++++
Obviously to get such fantastic views over Phuket from both sides of the resort, you are going to be high up on the hill. So be prepared for some slopes. The resort caters very well for all ages with a constant, on demand, tuk tuk up and down the slope to the roadway. They also have half hourly (complimentary) mini bus into town and back. The staff are very pleasant as is the Thai way. We booked through Luxury Escapes who had negotiated many 'inclusions' including cocktails daily, massages daily and delightful banquets. Our room was clean with fantastic views. I can also highly recommend the IT Manager, Sui, who painstakingly worked with me to resolve a problem with my computer. In fact while I had her "software" (brain), I also had Sui improve my computing skills. Just one other recommendation I can make, Take the "one-on-one" cooking class, Anan, the Sous Chef, loves his art and is very patient. I leave the resort with some confidence in Thai cooking. The resort is well located to all of Patongs facilities
