My wife and I spent a week at the Vijitt after travelling around Bangkok and the river kwai for a week. The idea was to unwind relax and be pampered and the Vijitt resort did this and more. On arrival we were greeted with a cold towel and refreshing lemongrass drink while we were taken through the booking in process. Once completed a golf buggy ride took us to our villa that over looked the pool and sea. The villa was spacious, clean and cool, with a patio area, large bathroom and outside shower. Everyone at the resort was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool attendants looked after us with towels and drinks and snacks when we chose to laze around the pool, which was refreshingly cool during the heat of the day. Breakfast was a chilled leisurely affair, with every nationality catered for, the fresh fruit was delicious, omelettes and eggs cooled fresh to order and plenty of hot coffee. The hotel ran a free shuttle bus service to various places around the island, we used this to go to the walking street market, Rawai beech front and fish market and the Phromthep cape sunset. The evening meals were chosen from a set menu, consisting of Thai dishes, and lots of other choices. The Thai dishes were delicious and cooked fresh in an open kitchen and could be made spicier if asked for. Most evenings we were serenaded by Maria [who also looked after breakfast service] while we sat and enjoyed a cocktail [or two] whiling away the warm Phuket evenings. A special mention to James who ensured everyone in his restaurant and bar were looked after, even down to providing everyone with mosquito spray. Another special mention to Bow who worked the restaurant and bar, her attention to detail in remembering our post meal coffee's and subsequent drink orders and stopping to chat to us about our day and give us information about the local surroundings and trips we had planned was again exceptional service. If you want peace, quiet, good food and pampering the Vijitt will be perfect, we couldn't fault any aspect of our stay and will definitely be going back. Khop Khun Khrap Steve & Julie
We recently stayed in an ocean view villa which was high on the hill but with amazing views of the surrounding Islands and ocean. The villa had a balcony, outside shower and a very large bathroom, all of which took in the same view. Problem was that mosquitoes were prevalent and prevented doors being opened to the view. The room is showing its age now and maintenance is needed. This resort suits the traveller wanting a total relax. The infinity pool is just as the website photos show - amazing. Staff were very friendly even though English was limited. Very impressed that the staff were attending English classes to improve - well done management! One staff member who stood out was Paeng - her gorgeous smile and disposition brightened our mornings. She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We believe she is studying hospitality. She is a wonderful asset to the hotel. The location on the beach is perfect however there is little to support the hotel in the surrounding areas. If spending your days by the pool or in the lovely day spa is your thing then this is the perfect escape for you.
Just returned from a short 2 night/3 day anniversary weekend trip to Phuket with my husband and 8 year old son. The ride from Airport to the resort took just under an hour ,having arrived on a red eye we were tired on arrival but check in to getting to our villa took less than 15mins and we had a beautiful bouquet and surprise cake waiting for us.We stayed at villa 7 one of the beach front villas, the villa was immaculate ,loved the little portico and private garden enclosure, the lawns were well maintained and the views at dawn were truly breathtaking ! The beach(though not a swimming beach) was gorgeous with intermittent high and low tides very few hours. The infinity pool was really good and the staff I believe are the true stars of this resort ..right from check in to ,the buggy drivers ,restaurant staff to even the gardeners .Hard to catch anyone there without a smile on their face. we did call reception for few odds and ends every now and again and no request was too much for them ,I've stayed in many properties around the world and could easily rate the service at the Vijitt right on top for responsiveness and attention to customer needs. The kids club at the resort is charming and my son enjoyed his time at the pool and though there weren't any other kids around the staff "Hunny" made sure he was kept engaged. The resort has two restuarents unfortunately the Baan Vijitt was closed for renovation .Had most of our meals at Savoury (there are eating options a short walk from the resort ) the food is amazing and we just couldn't get enough of the Thai dishes , on our last night at the resort we asked the restaurant staff if they served sticky rice with mango and though it wasn't on the dessert list the chef actually made it for us!! The beach bar is a good place to hang around for a lazy afternoon by the beach. The spa setting is breathtaking too ,little villas(treatment rooms) set on the hilly slopes , treatments were top notch and therapists were courteous and skilled. A special mention to some of the staff there who made our stay special .Maria at the Savoury (thank you for being so attentive and remembering our sons food allergy and advising us accordingly ,and you have an angelic voice😃).Tom,for driving us around and for indulging our sons request to ride in the front with you).Hunny @ rotunda thanks for keeping our son entertained. Overall We loved the experience and will definitely go back many more times.
We spent 4 days here. We felt spoiled! The food was amazing, the accomadations were spectacular! Clean, spacious & gave a great view of the beach, we took a cooking class & enjoyed the class, the food & our souviners! The pool was very relaxing. The staff prepared box breakfast for us on our departure date. If I'm in Phuket again, I'd stay here!
We arrived at the hotel very tired but excited at the same time after a long flight. We felt so welcomed from the start and were offered tea and cookies while we were quickly checked in. We were then introduced to our room which was beautiful. I loved the whole design of the room and also the shower outside. We did not have any issues with mosquitoes and haven't really seen any even at night. There is a lot of vegetation and it must be hard for them to keep insects away. Breakfast was delicious! I also took one of their yoga class which I enjoyed very much. The staff is very friendly and always so nice and helpful. We rented scooters for the whole holiday and so found the location of the hotel to be perfect, because it was resonable distance to everything we wanted to visit. If there was anything that was a long distance from the hotel, we would still ride the scooter (instead of taking a taxi) because you just can't not love the scooter rides in Thailand! One of my favourite part! We were two couples in our mid 20s and I think the hotel is perfect for people of all ages. We really loved everything here and would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
We had 4 nights in this beautiful hotel and it was everything that I had hoped for. We had beachfront villa which had an amazing view and was close to the pool and restaurant. The whole resort was very peaceful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little far away from the main resorts so we ate in the hotel restaurant twice but they do provide free shuttles to local resorts and to Phuket Old town on Sunday for the Walking Town street market.
Staffs were very friendly and provided excellent services. The Resort was very beautiful and the room was wonderful with the quality of the bathroom, with the outdoor shower to the amazing bathtub, to the interior of the villa. The restaurant cooked excellent yummy Thai foods and the waiters/waitress were excellent with great services. The pool is beautiful, not a swimming beach but otherwise Outstanding. Comment: 1. Due to the resort far from city area but hotel provide free shuttle bus, need to book 1day before. 2.The resort have free activities like yoga, garden walk, free rental bike for cycling in the resort etc.
We are a family of 4 and stayed at the resort for 6 nights. The 2 bedroom villa with our own pool was phenomenal. The facilities clean and nice. The staff was great. One minus was that one of the two restaurants was closed for renovation, which was not mentioned anywhere at time of reservation or prior to arriving, but the menu was good and we also ate outside the resort. Overall a great experience and the people there are fantastic and make you feel very welcome.
We spent a weekend at Vijitt and loved it. Our purpose was to scuba dive. The resort is a very short drive to the pier where the dive boat left from. The resort was terrific. The villas were comfortable and had everything we'd hoped for from an ocean view, large bedroom/bathroom, a deck and air conditioning. The resort, villa and restaurant were clean and nicely decorated. The service was excellent. This is a relaxing resort which we prefer, not a party all night type of resort. We also visited the onsite spa and had first class treatments at a reasonable price.
Husband and I stayed on the resort for 10 nights , the villa was absolutely beautiful 10/10 The room was amazing, very clean and comfortable. Room service cleaned or room twice a day. The outside shower was amazing absolutely loved it.
