Pros : the room is spacious, comfortable and clean twice a day Though the beach is not for swimming, the sunrise on the beach is quite nice. The breakfast is ok. The resort environment is perfect, feeling lived in jungle. Cons: Some of the staff were not that good at English. The food at the restaurant is fair. I have no idea they can’t even provide us with some warm water. As we came here to enjoy our anniversary, I just want to order a dessert with the words”happy anniversary “ on it. However, the waitress was not quite understand until I show her a picture for illustration. What’s more, the waitress didn’t realize she should serve the dessert at the end of our dinner. She took out the cake at the very beginning of the dinner. It was a bit disappointed.
The location and view totally amaizing... The resturant need to update the menu all remainig things ok the crew smily helpfull and freindly... The spa very nice anz ocean view villa romantic i recommended to anyone looking for relax peacefull
The hotel is in a rural setting about an hour from the airport. We had a villa with pool which was very romantic but the resort could do with a bit of a refurb. For example, we asked for an iron and ironing board which arrived promptly, however it was rusty from top to bottom with a scorched cover and an old iron. We were instructed not to up the aircon above 24 degrees or it would start to drip, had we of done that we would have been eaten alive by mosquitoes. We were given a anti mosquito plug in for the room and a bottle of bug spray... the handle on the bathroom door kept falling off which amused rather than annoyed us. On our first night we were refused entry to the main restaurant as there was a big wedding going on, we were ushered into a small glass area where unfortunately the food was not great. We asked for napkins and were told the wedding party had all the napkins but we could have tissue... at this point we nearly packed out bags and ran. However, as the sun rose the following morning and after a drip-free 22 degree cool nights sleep, we woke mosquito bite free and began to enjoy our stay. I would also mention that although the hotel is on a beach, it is very narrow with sharp gritty sand. If you want a sandy beach to relax on you have to get a taxi to another spot. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the jungle shower! The shower is outside in a bamboo surround which (after the initial shock) was wonderful!
I first visited the Vijitt in 2013 and loved the place so had to come back and stay for a night when I was in Thailand. The resort is so peaceful and the settings are just fabulous. Each room is a private hut with a huge bed, bath and outdoor shower. I stayed in villa 32 this time which is close to reception and on top of the hill. The Vijitt is on a slope and can be difficult to walk around if your level of fitness is poor but they have carts to move you around resort if you need. Just call reception from your room or the poolside bar and one will arrive for you free of charge. It’s a shame I live 14hours away as I would visit here more often. If your in Phuket then you should definitely stay here even if it’s just for one night as I did. Buffet breakfast is fabulous and was much better than the hotel in patong I stayed in for the same period. Children friendly = yes Taxi price to Patong around 1000 bhat and takes 30minutes. Thanks to Pam and Maneewan for your help in booking my night and my parents night. We all had an amazing time.
Such a beautiful hotel. Love the room villa design: very big and comfortable. The views from our balcony were spectacular and one of the things I enjoy the most is the bath tub and the outdoors shower. If you are going with your partner definitely will recommend the flower bath is very romantic. The breakfast its very complete and delicious. They offer also very good deals to visit the island so definitely check it out.
Stayed here over 5 times since it was built around 10 years ago Why do I come back ? Great pool & view but you can’t swim in the sea it’s boggy Rocky & muddy but if you know that generally it’s a decent place to stay Staff levels improved for me since I stayed here around 1 year ago More attentive & better command of English yet still a away to go to catch up with other 5 stars now in Phuket For once our lunch server was excellent far better than staff in the past stays which always let this place down In parts it’s lacking Maintainace Now and needs a revamp to certain areas Had to sit at breakfast on dirty old food stained cushions not very appealing in a 5 star hotel & The previous dinners food was still on the floor Many areas looking grubby & tired now most hotels refurb after 6 years this is 10 years and nothing’s changed However the food here is always consistently good & yet normally one of the better Sunday lunch buffers on the island this Sunday you could feel cut backs in food choices normally the Sunday lunch is as good as 9.5/10 however disappointed it was an 8/10 but what there was tasted good The rooms are nice as long as you get a view otherwise you just look at hedge of bushes 2m from all windows Mosquitos here have always been an issue so try to get a beach wind / view if you can When the room rate is around the £100-125 GBP max rate it’s worth a stay here it’s nice above this rate it’s not & there are better places with a beach that you can use As with many Phuket hotels great photo shop photos but you can’t actually swim if your happy just with a pool & great view then this hotel has both & decent food too 7.5/10 Would I return ? Yes at the correct room rate for this level of hotel only yes I would the plus point here it’s small and not a mass market hotel with hundreds of people it just needs some investment again or it will slip further behind the every increasing Phuket hotel market
Stayed here last week with my husband, room with private pool was fantastic, food was really good, staff were very friendly and helpful, grounds and views were stunning and the spa was great. If you want to go and relax and enjoy 5* service this is the place for you.
We have just returned from the most relaxing 7 day stay we have had in ages. After trawling through reviews for accomodation in Phuket, I kept coming back to the Vijitt and eventually booked a Seaview Villa for 7 nights and so so glad I did. From the check in to the check out, which were seamless, we were greeted by friendly, engaging staff, many who have been there for years. Our villa was a cool, tranquil retreat, surrounded by lush tropical gardens and offered a quiet privacy. If you are looking for a shiny, modern, generic resort, this is not for you. If you value an authentic private space offering a divine outdoor shower, with dark timbers, a balcony with an amazing view( Seaview villa), fresh flowers daily, then this ticks all the boxes. The infinity pool is beautiful, plenty of sun loungers either by the pool or on the lawn overlooking the sea. Sea isn’t for swimming, but this did not bother us at all, with such a beautiful pool to use. Hammocks strung up between palm trees added to the lazy days we had. Noom and Nu took care of us by the pool, smiling, friendly and happy to chat if we wanted to engage. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and thank you to Maria who greeted us with a smile each morning, always happy and friendly, as were Cat and Joy who we saw most mornings. 2 restaurants on site, with reasonable prices for a 5 star resort. We indulged in cocktails daily, with happy hour enjoyed at the end of the day. The resort offers scheduled shuttle bus to nearby Raiwai and Nai Harn beach, which we made use of and a trip to the walking market at Old Phuket town was a highlight. The spa was fabulous, we had a daily 30 minute massage as part of our package and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent there along with the tea and biscuit at the end of the treatment. Daily activities provided if you wish to participate...or not. Golf carts transport you around the resort if required. It was difficult to leave this blissful oasis, managed by beautiful staff, who were always friendly, welcoming and complimented the absolutely divine resort that is The Vijitt. We will certainly return and recommend this place if you are seeking a peaceful and tranquil holiday.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon trip and absolutely loved it. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, from the lovely arrival to departure. We had a beachfront bungalow right next to the main pool which was fab and it had stunning views. There were two sun-loungers for us outside but I like to sit on the balcony in a morning and had to ask for a chair and table which they brought straight away. The beach isn't great for swimming due to the tides but the pool more than makes up for it and they also offer free shuttles to and from another beach. Location wise there's some nice restaurants nearby in rawai but the hotel food is so reasonably priced we didn't see the need to venture out often, preferring to enjoy the room and hotel. Drinks are also reasonable especially at happy hour with the exception of wine which was very expensive but seems to be everywhere we have been. We will definitely be returning for one of our anniversaries!!
Warm welcome upon arrival, beautiful room, amazing pool, comfortable bottom floor, hospitable staff, delicious restaurant food, and beautiful views. Stayed for our honeymoon Tue-Fri. Staff was generous in arranging beautiful rose petals on our bed every night. Our villa was picturesque and perfect; from the pool, bathtub, outdoor shower, amenity kit, spacious bottom level, to the ocean views. Highly recommend the pool villa, we just hopped in our bathing suits and right into the pool!! Got my husband a facial treatment and massage that was delightful! Highly recommend this location for travelers.
