Parking is very hard to find. If you do get a spot it is all 2hr. Parking which is super inconvenient. Checked in and found our room had not been cleaned?! Beds were made and then noticed a dirty qtip and some shaving hair in the bathroom (a little gross but could be overlooked) but then saw dirty spots on the pillow and a soiled undergarment in the dresser. The night staff couldnt have been friendlier or more apologetic. Set us up with a new room and was told a manager could provide a discount for the issues. New room was fine (both rooms could use repairs) but crazy loud. All rooms came with earplugs so i assume they are aware of the noise. Unfortunately, when checking out we were offered a small discount. In my opinion the discount was not proportionate to the trouble of packing up, switching rooms (and room types), the night before Thanksgiving. Wish the hotel stay was as nice as the curb appeal.

Beautiful lobby and historic old building. Breakfast was a little disappointing. On street parking was hard to find and no porters to take bags to room. A wedding was taking place and the party extended into the courtyard entrance so we had to walk around the building to enter.

Beautiful old building and friendly staff. We enjoyed being able to walk to places in petaluma.

Love the history of the hotel. The entry and lobby is beautiful. Plenty of food/shops within walking distance. Parking was kind of a pain, however, they do have a 10min unloading zone right in front so take advantage of that! We didn’t notice until it was time to leave.

The warmth of the historic building paired with updated furnishings.

This is similar to an extended stay. Strong bleach smell.

This is one of the best hotels. Very thoughtful staff and cleanest rooms. Look forward to returning!

Great place for a family reunion. Lobby with fireplace creates a great gathering spot. Rooms nice, beds comfortable, staff pleasant, location fantastic.

This boutique hotel had many groups relaxing together, playing piano, or one of the many board games in there inviting lobby. The bedding is A+, and the rooms are sparkling clean. Most of all, my family really enjoyed being a block from downtown where the locals are really friendly and there are numerous restaurants satisfying everyone's taste preferences and also there are a variety of local shops.

Lovely old building, nice rooms. Staff was helpful - offering us umbrellas since it was pouring out

I have enjoyed staying at Hotel Petaluma several times. The renovated room was lovely and had everything I needed. The location is perfect for enjoying downtown. The problem was the early morning trash pickup in the alley below my room. The ear plugs you provided were helpful I hope you can do more to cancel the noise. That said I am sure I will return. The atmosphere that the staff creates is so welcoming.

We had a wonderful stacation! Excellent location. The retro elevator was very cool. We plan to go back!

This is an old hotel with nice updated rooms. It's close to downtown, and it was nice to be able to walk to shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Vintage and mondern at the same time. Great location, walking distance from every downtown Petaluma. Rooms were tight, reminded me of a European hotel, bed was great and bathroom was beautiful and rather large compared to the overall room.
