Arriving to Paris for one night we called Relais Christine based on its association with SLH which are routinely reliable on all levels. A room was held for us and we arrived soon after to check in and were escorted to the room up and down a myriad of stairs and corridors to a small but beautiful room - that was totally overpowered by the smell of paint. The front of house representative who escorted us feigned entire unawareness of this and looked a little surprised, and then Irritated that we raised this totally obvious concern. We requested he call, and confirm another room option, however he required that we follow him all the way back to reception and eventually confirmed no other option other than we go for a walk and they would put a machine in the room to reduce the smell. This was not a solution. We then had to challenge him to process the refund which he reluctantly came around to. By this time, 4 front of house staff, all unable to do much at all. To give some credit, the hotel entry, lobby, and room that we saw are beautifully appointed. However this kind of hotel will only fail on the quality and service of its staff.

We visited at the end of the January to celebrate my Wife’s 50th Birthday, and could not have wished for a better experience. We e-mailed the hotel in October to seek advice about our potential visit. We dealt with Franck originally who recommended the package that we ultimately chose. He also put us in touch with the concierge team who were excellent. We pre-booked restaurants and shows well ahead of our visit. I also ordered flowers and were provided champagne in our room, a great treat! We stayed in Junior Suite 003 which was situated in the courtyard. We couldn’t ask for a better room, it had a great bathroom, and living area, ideal for chilling. The bed itself was a four poster and very comfortable. All the staff were first class, the breakfast great, and we took advantage of the “honour bar” for night caps. I can’t recommend highly enough.

From the elegant courtyard entrance thru to our gorgeous room the beautiful detail did not go unnoticed. Carefully chosen decor throughout our room, bathroom, lounge, breakfast & reception areas in this boutique hotel is both welcoming & comfortable. A delicious full buffet breakfast set us up for the day. Located very near the Pont Neuf bridge allows easy access to attractions & a Seine River Cruise. Lots of nearby restaurants to choose from & only a couple minutes walk to Luxembourg Gardens, worth the walk. In a great location. Not entirely soundproofed serves as a reminder of the abbey history here. Would return.

We cannot fault this delightful hotel that is situated in a quiet street within easy walking distance of several Metro stations, the bustle of Boulevard St Germain, the left bank of the Seine, the Louvre and many other places of interest. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Our room was light, well equipped and very comfortable. As a bonus, It had French doors onto a lovely private terrace, complete with table and chairs. The buffet breakfast was very generous with top quality fresh fruit, yoghurts, wonderful cheeses, eggs, breads and patisserie. The service offered cannot be faulted and we are discriminating and experienced travellers.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip in 2000 and vowed to return to this romantic boutique hotel with my wife. We recently enjoyed our stay here in a delightful comfortable room with delicious daily breakfast. Perfectly situated in the 6th Arr. near the Seine and many of the great attractions of Paris.Service is uniformly excellent. The hotel has been renovated; the breakfast which had been in the crypt downstairs is now in what was the lounge. A spa has been added to the former breakfast area.

My sister and I stayed here together in a duplex junior suite for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier with our stay. We really loved the location of the hotel. Saint Germain/the 6th is an elegant and calm neighborhood, but with easy access to prime tourist sites (ideal!) We were just 5 minutes walk from the Seine, and 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame/Sainte Chapelle. We also walked to Musée d'Orsay and the Tuileries/Louvre. While the Eiffel Tower and Versailles are farther afield, this hotel puts you on the right train line to get there easily. The hotel itself is a gem, with beautiful decor and a warm, helpful staff. We stayed in one of the duplex junior suites. The suite has the bathroom and sitting room with a daybed on the first floor, and a bedroom on the second, in a loft-like space (no door, but privacy because you are up the stairs). It was great for my sister and I traveling together, a nice balance between having shared and private space. I could see it being a perfect arrangement for a family with children, as the children could be downstairs and the parents could easily monitor them and hear them while upstairs, because the upstairs bedroom doesn't have a door. One word about the day bed: the day bed is totally comfortable for sleeping for kids or many adults but wouldn't be OK if you're tall. I would say if you are taller than 5'10" the daybed might be too small for you (but the bed in the bedroom would be fine of course).

My husband and I loved staying here. After the hustle and bustle of a couple of larger hotels on our trip, Relais Christine was a oasis of calm and quiet. But it doesn’t mean that it felt empty and soulless. More that it felt homey and inviting. The rooms are great, love that the bathroom was divided between sink and shower in one place and toilet in another. The quality of bedding and bed was wonderful. And the staff was quite helpful with every little need, including having passes to museums handy. There is also an honesty bar in the lobby where you can pour your own glass of whatever you like and tell the frond desk what you drank, there could have been a couple of helpful additions to this - stirrers for mixed drinks and perhaps some lemon and lime slices as well. But these are minor things. We loved our stay and would definitely go back.

I had the pleasure of staying at Relais Christine and I can't recommend it enough. Quiet yet convenient, the location was perfect, and the service was attentive and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and probably one of the best hotel breakfast I've had. I loved exploring the gorgeous property, discovering its history with modern touches. p.s. definitely go downstairs to the Guerlain spa.. even if you're not getting any treatments, it is worth a trip!

This was our second visit in this quaint backstreet hotel. One of the best breakfasts in Paris and elegant reception area and lounges. I am a bit claustrophobic in tiny rooms and this hotel has many of those. If you suffer like I do I would suggest you get one of their larger rooms. A very enjoyable stay once again.

Situated on a side street there is far less hustle and bustle. You enter the hotel through a charming courtyard which is unusual in Paris and very nice. The reception area and adjoining seating are opulent and nicely decorated. Also unusual are Spa and exercise facilities on bottom floors. Rooms are spacious, with excellent linens, wonderful bath and separate shower spaces. Front desk people are friendly and very helpful. For those with a limited French vocabulary, not to worry at all as all are fluent in English. A nice quiet boutique hotel in a great location.
