We just returned from Paris, six nights at eh Relais Christine. The service was impeccable, the room wonderful. We walked to almost all the fine dining close by. Many attractions are within walking distance as well. This hotel is on a quiet street close to shopping and restaurants around the corner. It truly is a 5 star hotel in our experience, The front desk people helped with anything we asked. We will return on our next trip to Paris.
Beautiful hotel & room plus excellent staff. Close to the sites. Staff was always attentive and always helpful. Quickly & pleasantly arranged for transportation to & from train station and airport, with making restaurant reservations and in acquiring tickets to the attractions.
We spent a week in Paris and Relais Christine was a very nice refuge from busy days of museum hopping, eating, exploring new streets/districts and, did I mention eating. The location of this small boutique hotel close to the Seine in the 6th District was perfect for walking to many of the top "must sees" in Paris. Its specific street, Rue Christine, is very quiet and the room we occupied off the hotel central court yard was extremely quiet. The hotel has recently been renovated and we found the terraced public areas very elegant and comfortable. The lack of a bar and restaurant is partially offset by an honor bar that was well stocked and enhanced the "private home" feeling of the place. Our junior suite room was a duplex that was very handsome, ample bath room space, comfortable bed and a great mini bar fridge where we kept yogurts and lunch items. The staff was very polite and the concierge helpful in arranging a private tour of Versailles. The only drawback to the hotel I experienced was the lack of shared out door space. The central court yard is partitioned off into four small private garden areas for the rooms off the court yard leaving a small seating area for the other 45+ rooms which was usually occupied when we would have liked to sit outside. The addition of heavy smoking by many folks in these mini gardens (maybe why they pay the premium pricing) was not good. I think the hotel owner's decision to squeeze more revenue out of the very pretty court yard by the addition of these mini gardens significantly reduced the hotel's appeal and is the only reason I gave the hotel 4 stars and not 5. We will probably try another venue next year which provides a better overall experience for the price.
Just arrived home after the most amazing weekend in Paris. Never left a review before but was determined to leave one for this amazing hotel. Had a nightmare arrival after our flight was delayed and our private transfer failed to pick us up from the airport but as soon as we arrived at the relais Christine everything was perfect! We were upgraded to a duplex suite which was absolutely gorgeous and were treated to a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon. All of the staff were extremely polite and helpful and it was great being able to get tickets to the louvre from reception to avoid the queues! We made use of the 24 hour spa and had it to ourselves. It really was a perfect weekend and couldn't recommend this hotel more highly! The Christine restaurant next door is amazing too!! Thank you for making our honeymoon so lovely!
I haved stayed at the Le Bristol and other 5-star properties (large and small) on the right bank but this was our first stay on the left bank. The location cannot be beat. Steps from the Pont Neuf it is walking distance to the museums, Il de la Cite, and the terrific shops and restaurants of the left bank. The hotel is on a quiet side street off a touristy street but the side street and hotel courtyard provide a sense of tranquility and seclusion. The rooms are small but luxuriously appointed. Even though they do not have a restaurant there are two small restaurants (one classic bistro the other nouvelle) within 50 yards. My onl\y criticism is that the breakfast, which is decent, could be better.
Wonderful boutique hotel located in the heart of Paris, walking distance to most of the major attractions. Wonderful staff. Service is excellent. My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and can't wait to come back.
We stayed at their system property and really enjoyed it however didn't love the location. We decided to stay in Saint-Germain at the Christine and it was amazing, The staff is exceptional and the location is a lot of fun. There's no hotel bar (other than the honor bar) and it is truly a small boutique hotel so you don't get some of the services you receive at massive 5 star hotels but it feels like home. It's VERY quiet - set off on a side street. Steps away from the action but perfect for sleeping. Katrina was exceptional! Thank you
The hotel is approached by a charming garden courtyard, which is cool and inviting. Mind the steps. We booked a 'superior' room which was smallish but had a high ceiling, with luxurious furnishings and generous amounts of marble featured in the bathroom. Toiletries are by Fragonard, with a small dish by Limoges on the desk. Staff are pleasant and welcoming, though it did take me three attempts to get a hairdryer sent up (should have been in the room,) There's no in-house restaurant, though the Christine next door is very good – the hotel offers only breakfast at three 'levels' ('Parisian', Continental and a la carte); all except the 'Parisian' are very expensive, so I imagine most visitors buy breakfast elsewhere. The 'honesty bar' in the lounge was very welcome after a fairly stressful journey, and seems to be a very popular facility.
Our two night stay at Relais Christine surpassed our expectations. We felt pampered and accommodated but also found our privacy very much respected. The room was fantastic and the garden swing is a wonderful way to end the day. The concierge helped us to find last minute dinner reservations at a restaurant where we were surrounded by locals. All the hotel staff were patient with our rudimentary French and made us feel encouraged to try to speak the native language.
Our party of 10 recently had the pleasure of staying at the Relais Christine before beginning our barge trip in Burgundy. We had stayed in the Rue du Buci or Rue Dauphine several time in the past (hotels and rented apartments), but have never had such a positive experience as we did at Christine. Everyone in our party, from old to young, agreed this is a great hotel. Small, intimate and beautifully decorated with very comfortable common areas to gather, perhaps share a drink and converse. The rooms were all great, but my wife and I had one with an outside patio in the center courtyard. Awesome. The staff were very helpful and the service we received could not have been any better. This is our new "go to" place in Paris.
