Great Parisian walking area for people watching. Clean hotel. Good breakfast.

hotel is in a safe area with easy access to the metro and all areas of paris. rooms are small.

The hotel was generally clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to a Metro stop, but was not otherwise convenient to any sites. The room was small but relatively comfortable.

the hotel as much os them is an antique building, but well kept,it is perfect for travelers hungry to see the city and the history,it is not a hilton on new york full of pools or restaurants,it is cozy place located just a few steps of metro station Pernety, all city is connected by trains, pretty easy to get to any place and so cheap by metro , please do not take taxi if you dont want to waste your money, the bakery is accross the street with wonderful and deliciuos sanwichs, the market is less than half block to your right side, buy the water there, because the minibar on the room is three times more the cot.but is a wonderful hotel and pretty clean

Location was ok, but the room was sub par. Would not recommend the hotel.

close to everything, i was wonderful time, close to the bakery, supermarkert metro station, restaurants. quiet area

A nice three star hotel, located in a safe and quiet area of Monparnasse, next to the Pernety metro station for easy transportation to many sites of interest. Our stay of five days in this hotel was fairly confortable.

This hotel is really great. The ubication is perfect is very close to the metro line 13. and also you can walk to the main station the montparnesse. Is located in the quiet area, the staff es very friendly the room is very small but is confortable. My wife and me, we really enjoyed the time in this hotel.

Few steps from metro entrance, near many bars (but not good restaurants), about 1km from Montparnasse station, and about 20 min. by metro to central attractions. Breakfast extra for 9 euro. Room was very small for two persons, wardrobe is barely big enough for one. Tiny fridge can take few coke cans, and even that space was almost all taken by overpriced drinks, which were twice more expensive than in the nearby supermarket. Washroom was functional (except broken plugs). Our room was quiet (window opens into the backyard). Stuff was helpfull. We had a shortage of big towels for two days. Good quality, small size flat screen TV on the wall. Could recommend for unpretentious people who do not mind tiny living space.

good location for the price

Hotel location is very close to metro station and surrounded by food places which is convenient. The cons are that the room had no air conditioning. The bathroom was dated and the room was relatively tiny.

The hotel was in a perfect location for us. We were using the metro to get around in Paris which was less than a block from the hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. HOWEVER, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING at this hotel. One of the descriptions says there is, but THERE IS NOT. Our first night there we were exhausted from traveling and were really surprised when we found out there was no air conditioning (because once again the description said there was.) We asked the worker in the lobby and they said the air for the building is not turned on. Keep in mind our visit was July 31-August 4 which is part of the hottest time of the year. I know it gets down into the 60's at night but that is not enough to cool a room down. The hotel also doesn't have fans to borrow either. Cold showers was what kept us sane in this hot hotel room. Great vacation; however, it was really hard to sleep at night due to it being so hot.

Very comfortable, very close to Metro. The people were very nice, and helpful. We would be happy to stay there again. Great value, and close to some very nice restaurants and shops.

I wasn't at the hotel much, but when I was I would've liked a better tv/channel line up.

I went to Paris for a week vacation for my 31st bday, on my own. I needed a hotel in a safe place, something clean but really on the budget side. The room was small, bathroom was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Almost all of them spoke perfect English. You need to think of this hotel as a place you are just going to sleep to, this is not a luxury hotel or a place to hang out and sip your coffee while watching Paris go by through your window. I had read from other travelers that it was best to keep valuables locked, so I did. I kept everything in my suitcase and locked, I did not see a safe in the room. This allowed me to have peace of mind while I was out, which was most of the time. Breakfast is not included and was supposed to be charged $9 Euros per day, but I had it twice and they waived the fees. I was stuck w/a very bad hair dryer but did see that other rooms had more up to date ones, it was just bad luck. The only true complaint I had, was that the carpet was old and showed the stains and use, as well as the beadspread (yucky). I would stay there again, if I don't have more $$ to get something nicer. Best of all it's location, you are steps away from an internet cafe, a bakery, a fruit/veggie market, a cafe to have a sit down breakfast, lunch of dinner and the most important thing, you are literally steps away from the metro station (Pernety stop)!!! Excellent as I wanted to get to every site as quickly as possible and maximize my time to visit all the tourist spots!

This hotel had the friendliest & most helpful staff I've ever experienced in Paris. It's also quite close to the Metro (about 4 doors down) which was perfect for me. As a single traveller on a sight-seeing vacation, this hotel fit my needs & budget. I will say that the hotel rooms could use a new paint job. My room had blackened areas around light fixture in bathroom & heater in bedroom where long use was quite evident.

The hotel is very simple. 1)The lobby - Very small and not much enough room. I also noticed that they dont have enough tables and the couch is too small for guests. All said for a very small lobby. The lobby chairs are very uncomfortable especially if you sit there while surfing the internet with their wifi connection 2)ROOM - Very small too but very clean. Not enough wiggle room. No wifi connection in the rooms. 3)Location - Its the best location because it is just a beside a METRO station (Pernety). It also has numerous restaurants that are cheap, different kinds of restaurants and stores depending on your taste.

I enjoyed the place. The staff were freindly and helpful. I you were looking for something they didn't have the answer for right then they looked it up you. The room was comfortable and it wasn't to far to walk to the sites. I like to walk and see everything. There are places to eat, internet cafe, a place to do your own luandry down the road. Afew minute walk to a 6 story mall, but shops all over.

very good

We got the more expensive room. It had a picture online of a beautiful window, which was the only difference between the two, except for a little bit more space. However when we got there, it looked like the cheaper room. We emailed the hotel and they said, sorry you didn't get the one you saw, they are only on the top floor. They had no coffee pods in the room either days, a light was broken, and there was only a little bit of shampoo left.
