Convenient location - only minutes from Metro and Gare Montparnasse. Spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast, you even get to make your own egg. However, it is a little pricey if paid separately. We came from London via Eurostar. Since there were 6 of us (2 kids, 2 elderly) and we had some large luggages, it's not easy to take the Metro. We used Uber instead and it was not expensive at all. Going from Gare di Nord to the hotel in the afternoon costs €40 while going to Gare du Nord from the hotel in the morning costs only €30.

Great location, quiet, great breakfast, and kid friendly! I really enjoy my stay here with my little kids (1, 4, and 6 years-old). The kids love hanging out in the lobby which has games, toys, and other kids. For anyone that has travel to Paris with kids, they would know that it can be a chord. Because even if you go to a nice hotel or restaurant, and the staff and amenities are really great, you still feel like you are disturbing other people with no kids, especially business people, and finding yourself feeling apologetic. The advantage of being in this hotel is that the surrounding neighborhood is not crowded with other tourist (groups). Also, because a lot of families stay here, it makes bringing your kids to Paris a more comfortable experience. The food is consistently great at the restaurant and has reasonable prices. We have been to pricier fancy restaurant that are not so great, so it's good to know that you can go back to the hotel for something reliable, especially with children.

Very pleasant experience from check in to check out! Warm and friendly feel to the hotel, with friendly staff that were very helpful. Close to metro station. Comfortable beds. Helped me coordinate transportation to airport the night before check out in a matter of seconds!!! Thank you to all staff at Novotel Paris Centre Gare Montparnasse!!!

We had a late arriving train, and a flight the next day out of Paris, this was super convenient and seemed a great value. Very clean and modern feel, it was nice to have the option of my husband, myself and 2 children in one room as most hotels in Paris seem to only offer 2 people per room, or higher priced "family suites". Would definitely stay there again if coming in or out of Montparnasse Station.

Although the room was small by American standards, I told by European standards it was good size room. The room was neat and clean and the bed and sleeper sofa where comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My only compliant is that hotel was advertised as providing a free breakfast. This simply was not true. Upon my arrival, the hotel clerk informed me there was no free breakfast. In our room was statement that a free early bird breakfast was supposedly served from 4:30am to 6:30am and the paid breakfast began at 6:30am. On my last day I went down at 6:00am and was told that only breakfast available began at 6:30am. Despite the hotel's failure to keep the advertised free breakfast which significantly increased my cost, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I would stay there again and recommended it others.

Perfect for our needs. Kids entertainment at breakfast.

My teens (13 and 16) stayed there for one night on 7/12/15. It was an easy walk from the subway stop Montparnasse-Bienvenue. The hotel was very clean and QUIET. We had a room on the 8th floor that had a view of the parking garage and the train tracks but we didn't hear any noise at all. The 8th floor elevator landing has a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower. The room was comfortable for 3 people. We were told this was an Executive room. I had a booked a room for 3 people but apparently they had assigned us to a single room for some reason. The check-in staff realized that and assigned us to the room that I had expected (queen size bed and sofa bed). She told us that she would be by shortly to set up the sofa bed and bring us extra towels and indeed this happened within the next hour (we checked in at about 9 p.m.). I inquired about eating breakfast in our room the next morning, but she pointed out that eating in the dining room was the same price and we would get a better value since it was a breakfast buffet. She also pointed out that the kids would eat breakfast for free. My daughter is 16 and the free buffet is technically for children UNDER the age of 16, but we didn't get charged for her. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, very well stocked and delicious: pastries, eggs, sausages, bacon, cereal, juices, coffee and tea, lunchmeats, cheese, fresh fruit, and much more. We came down to eat at 10:30 (the buffet closes at 11 a.m.) and it was fully stocked. At 10:50 they informed us that it would be taken down at 11 so to go get more food while we could and that we could remain in the dining room past 11 a.m. if we needed to. We had dinner at their cafe. The kids do NOT eat dinner for free. The food was a little pricey but good. I appreciated having this option but there are cafes just a couple of streets away if you want to eat somewhere else. There is also a vending machine across from the check-in desk where you can get snacks and drinks. My room had a minibar. I think I could have gotten one bottle of mineral water for free, but the French wording was a little ambiguous (it could have meant that it wasn't free) so I decided not to take the chance to be charged a huge amount of money for a bottle of water. You might want to check with the front desk clerk when you check in if it's indeed free. My room had a hair dryer in the bathroom as well as a shower stall separate from the bathtub. The room had plenty of convenient plugs (bring your adapters) for charging electronics, and also had a speaker with USB port and charging station on the desk. It had a flat screen TV but we didn't use it. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and courteous. They were very proactive and customer-oriented. We didn't experience any problems and I will definitely stay there again should I need a hotel in Paris.

We enjoy everything, the location was perfect near to the metro. The staff was very kindly. We recomended for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The staff was really helpful and most accommodating. The hotel was QUIET. The breakfast was very good and met all our needs. We would definitely stay at this hotel or perhaps another hotel in the chain on the occasion of a future trip to France.

Hotel was ok but not the Novotel quality they are known for.

great ubication, confortable, I recomended it. We have near metro, blvd. montparnasse where are a lot of brasseries, shoping. nice zone.

The hotel is close to Gare Montparnasse (you need to exit the back), and walking distance from many places. Overall clean and simple, nothing fancy, I would have wished for down pillows, but were not available. Wifi is free, and works reasonably well (don't expect to do videoconferencing, though).

with the location and price. Only blocks away from subway. However very difficult to find the place. I spent almost 2 hrs on the first night - seems nobody knows whereabout. The Montparnasse railway station is huge and very confusing. I finnally found the place by taking a taxi from only a block away.

Good Experience at this Novotel Paris Hotel room in France

Very good experience, very close to train and metro stations. The rooms are very good.

Nicely located in a business district; walking distance from the Eiffel Tower and surrounding attractions. We arrived early and well our room wasn't ready, the staff didn't bat an eye at storing our luggage while we wandered the city for breakfast. With two small children, we found our double room had plenty of space - the pullout couch divided in half so the entire room was not covered in bed when we pulled out only half. Clean, nice bathroom with big tub for the kids. Good overall.

Montparnasse station is huge and this Novotel is not as close as it seems. It is at the very back of the station on avenue Pasteur, a good 10-15 min walk to the tower and the main plaza. Decent hotel, nothing bad, nothing great.

This is a great hotel for what it offers. The rooms are comfy and have everything you might need and the hotel is perfectly located steps away from Montparnasse station. The breakfast is delicious and good enough to get you ready for the day. We will definitely come back!

The room was clean and comfortable. It was a bit off the beaten track of downtown so it was quiet and cheaper than the hotels closer to the river. The hotel caters to children with a special breakfast with entertainment. Wifi was free and the metro station was just a 5 minute walk (600 meters on safe streets).

Quiet, non-touristy section of Paris. Hotel staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast is a real steal at 16 Euros as kids eat free. Free wireless internet. Train station is right next door, you can roll your bags from the rear entrance of the hotel to the SNCF railroad platform in 1 minute. Metro stop at Montparnasse station is a 5 minute walk away, all under cover.
