I was originally booked from 16-21st October, but due to Hurricane Ophelia in Ireland flight cancelled so arrived 18th. On arrivals cold reception, no information given re what facilities available. Also nothing in room re information. Everything closed apart from room! Also 4 times when had do no disturb on room, cleaners barged opened the door! Very dismissive in terms of their renovations, and no options given re change of expected facilities. Definitely not worth the money.

This is well located in a calm and nice neighbourhood in downtown Paris. You have to walk some 500 metres to the closest metro station but it cannot be too bad, it's the Véme in Paris. The staff was efficient, breakfast good and my room was ample and clean. It was a nice stay.

I have been staying at this Left Bank hotel since 1994. It is my favorite. It is a bit of a walk to the Metro but the numbers 21 and 27 buses pass in front of the hotel. It is very convenient. The rooms are small, but very clean, well appointed, and well organized for the traveller. The breakfast room in the cave -- basement -- is traditional and well worth the money. Perhaps most important for the traveler, the staff is very friendly. Everyone speaks good English among many other European and non-European languages. The owners are the same people that I met originally in 1994. The only fault is that at the moment the lobby and lounge are being renovated. So, be aware of the dust, some noise (but not a lot), and a less cozy atmosphere. However, I am sure that when the renovations are completed, the Hotel Serotel Lutece will be as quaint and welcoming as ever.

Wonderful property in the 5th Arr. Clean, nice value. A short walk to the Metro or a very convenient bus stop right across the street. The room was clean and very quiet. Mini bar (which we used for a fridge), and a room safe, VERY nice bathroom of the type found in hotels that are much more expensive. Nicely decorated throughout. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Rue Monteford in the Latin Quarter is very lively and about a 12 minute walk, TONS of pubs and restaurants. We got the superior double room and we were most pleased. The daily breakfast is nice as well.

We recently stayed here for 5 days. It's easy walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame and a metro line is nearby, located in the 5th arrondissement. The front desk staff were quite friendly. The room is typical for an older Parisian building and is on the smaller side, although comfortable enough (the bed was too soft for our liking but that's personal). The breakfast is typical continental with breads, croissants, cheeses and cold meats. The breakfast is held at level -1, which must have been the cellar in the old days. I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel Serotel Lutece was very nice, clean and cosy. The staff was very friendly and welcomed us with map and perfect guide of Paris. Small rooms but clean and nice. Breakfast was good. Altough we found the hotel situated a bit off from all the sightseeing it was a very good hotel. Thanks for a nice stay.

I stayed in this hotel for ten days on a recent trip to Paris. The location is very convenient. Not more than eight minutes walking to the metro, and less than twenty minutes walking from Notre Dame. There are some amazing restaurants in the vicinity (especially in rue de pot de fur). Staff at the front desk vary from polite to friendly and informative. They were a joy to interact with. Checkin and checkout were very efficient. No matter how late I came back to the hotel, I'd always be greeted. The room was a reasonable size and comfortable with all the facilities required (expectation is you will bring your own toothbrush). The bed was comfortable, and the room very quiet when the windows were closed (there is a lot of activity on the streets at all hours, it's amazing how effective the windows shield against this). I enjoyed the street view in the morning very much. I savoured the breakfast every morning. Typical French style - with cheese, cold meats, cereals, wide selection of breads, juices, several types of coffee - served at level -1 in a kind of a cave. I was asked by a male waiter to move from my table for four to a table for two, although I was the only person dining in the restaurant (and I never saw it full) - but this was a quirk rather than an annoyance. Only room for improvement is in the house keeping. My room had water and shampoo on the first day, but this was never replenished. Doubtlessly I could have fixed this at reception, but it seemed unimportant as sparkling water is in cheap and plentiful supply at the many small supermarkets nearby. I enjoyed my stay very much and this hotel will be in high consideration next time I come back to Paris.

By far this was the best hotel of the trip through three countries. The rooms where amazing and just beautiful the service was second to know. The rooms made you feel like you where royalty. The bed where so soft it felt like you where sleeping on clouds. The little court yard was really nice as well. Everyday we came back tired and sat in the little court yard and talk about our days experience. T There is a little bakery right outside of the hotel that sells the best baguette sandwiches. I had one every morning and evening. The lady at the bakery didn't speak much English but she tried. After the first day she knew us she put aside some for us before they sold out. I really love this please. I hope to return there one day.

The Serotel Lutece is very inviting. friendly staff und very nice reception. Rooms quite spacious for 75005 and very clean. breakfast is good. I recommend the hotel very much. very good for a short or a long term stay

This Hotel is just beautiful. The rooms are a nice size, very modern and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The shower was a rain shower, it was amazing! The staff was so friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious it is served in a basement that is so beautiful. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The closest train stop is about a 12-15 minute walk. There are lots of restaurants in the surrounding area and very close to many attractions. I can't say enough about this hotel. I can't wait to come back and stay here again.
