Stayed at the hotel over the 17-20 Nov 2017. Ideal location as just 5 min walk to Victor Hugo metro. The hotel is situated in a quieter area of the city which was good as there were no disturbances at night. The room was comfortable and a decent size. The only negatives were that the bed was right next to the door did any noise in the corridor could be heard and there were some other guests that were slightly inconsiderate with nose, e.g. Allowing doors to slam shut, but I guess this isn't donating the hotel can control. Nice little touches like sweets and water in the foyer. Would stay again.
We stayed at the Melia Champs Elysees for 6 nights. We had flown overnight and by the time we arrived at the hotel at 9:30am Paris time, we were exhausted. WE went to go drop off our luggage but were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready for us. The friendly staff warned us it would be a small room but honestly we thought it was cozy and perfect for our needs. We opted for the breakfast package and we were so happy we did! Every morning helpful staff offered tea and coffee, we had fresh croissants, fruit and cheese every morning. The best part was the location, it was a quick walk to the Arc and to the Eiffel Tower, the neighborhood had great shops and restaurants and right near a subway. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The decorations and furniture look a bit too on care for, but once we got in the room the room was small but very nice. Be d a bit too firm but very clean. The location was great, only a block away from the metro Metropolitan station. Walking distance to Champs Elysee and Arch of Triumph. Also was close to Trocadero Square great view of the Eiffel Tower at night. We did not eat the Hotel breakfast, we found several small cafes near the hotel were we ate a great breakfast less than half the price of the hotel.
Stay at the Melia Champs Elysees about once per year on business. Always happy to arrive in warm and familiar surroundings. Welcoming staff, comfortable rooms with lots of character, enjoyable buffet breakfast and easy access to the Metro and good restaurants. Spent my birthday there recently, and when I came back at the end of the day there was a bottle of champagne waiting in the room. Much appreciated.
The hotel entrance belies a characterful hotel with quality room and attentive staff. Our internet 'deal' meant it was definitely value for money. My only irritation was that we couldn't connect to the Wi-fi.
Beatriz Perez and Rodrigo Gil were top-notch in checking us into our rooms and ensuring we enjoyed our stay. They secured an awesome table for us at Moulin Rouge in the front row with 2 bottles of champagne waiting for us! Melia Paris Champs Elysees is within a 20 minute walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and many great restaurants and shops! We truly enjoyed our stay. Would stay there over and over again. PS: very small elevator and wonderfully spacious stair well.
I carefully read the many wonderful reviews and high ratings. I also viewed the many photos listed online that showed rooms of generous size. The one positive note on this property is that is is located on a beautiful street and within very close proximity to many key attractions and shopping. I have also stayed at several other Melia properties in the Caribbean. My experience here was very different than any before. I rated this hotel 2 stars only because the staff was excellent. However, the hotel itself is really a 2 star property, at best. First, the photos depict large rooms that have modern decor. In reality the room decor is very dated and the carpet covered flooring needs to be vacuumed cleaned much better. The room barely fits two people. However, there is only room for the luggage of one person. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen in any hotel in my 30+ years of travel and staying at top rated hotels. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 200lbs. The toilet area was so small that I had to sit sideways with my legs out of the enclosure to use it because it was placed inside of a 2 feet x 2 feet enclosure. That is completely unacceptable for a hotel property in Paris. There are many other hotels in Paris that offer a much better experience than this hotel a similar price. I do not recommend this hotel.
Very good hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, quiet and nice and everything was working properly and was good quality. Wifi worked very well. I had to extend my stay and had changed room and in both rooms Wifi signal was very good. The location also is very good. I know which hotel to check first for my next trip to Paris. Merci beaucoup!
Excellent location, very comfortable quiet rooms, & friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was good & efficient even though it is in a very small room. Very easy to get to all major sights. Metro close by.
Cannot recommend Melia hotels enough, this was my first stay at a Melia hotel and it didn't disappoint. Very close to both the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, lovely restaurants and bakery's near by and also a supermarket which sells amazing fresh orange juice ! Special thanks to all the check in staff, and the cleaners who did a very good job cleaning our room for the three nights we were there. couldn't have enjoyed the stay more!
