Melia Paris Champs-Elysées

The hotel entrance belies a characterful hotel with quality room and attentive staff. Our internet 'deal' meant it was definitely value for money. My only irritation was that we couldn't connect to the Wi-fi.

Beatriz Perez and Rodrigo Gil were top-notch in checking us into our rooms and ensuring we enjoyed our stay. They secured an awesome table for us at Moulin Rouge in the front row with 2 bottles of champagne waiting for us! Melia Paris Champs Elysees is within a 20 minute walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and many great restaurants and shops! We truly enjoyed our stay. Would stay there over and over again. PS: very small elevator and wonderfully spacious stair well.

I carefully read the many wonderful reviews and high ratings. I also viewed the many photos listed online that showed rooms of generous size. The one positive note on this property is that is is located on a beautiful street and within very close proximity to many key attractions and shopping. I have also stayed at several other Melia properties in the Caribbean. My experience here was very different than any before. I rated this hotel 2 stars only because the staff was excellent. However, the hotel itself is really a 2 star property, at best. First, the photos depict large rooms that have modern decor. In reality the room decor is very dated and the carpet covered flooring needs to be vacuumed cleaned much better. The room barely fits two people. However, there is only room for the luggage of one person. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen in any hotel in my 30+ years of travel and staying at top rated hotels. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 200lbs. The toilet area was so small that I had to sit sideways with my legs out of the enclosure to use it because it was placed inside of a 2 feet x 2 feet enclosure. That is completely unacceptable for a hotel property in Paris. There are many other hotels in Paris that offer a much better experience than this hotel a similar price. I do not recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, quiet and nice and everything was working properly and was good quality. Wifi worked very well. I had to extend my stay and had changed room and in both rooms Wifi signal was very good. The location also is very good. I know which hotel to check first for my next trip to Paris. Merci beaucoup!

Excellent location, very comfortable quiet rooms, & friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was good & efficient even though it is in a very small room. Very easy to get to all major sights. Metro close by.

Cannot recommend Melia hotels enough, this was my first stay at a Melia hotel and it didn't disappoint. Very close to both the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, lovely restaurants and bakery's near by and also a supermarket which sells amazing fresh orange juice ! Special thanks to all the check in staff, and the cleaners who did a very good job cleaning our room for the three nights we were there. couldn't have enjoyed the stay more!

I arrived with a work colleague who, when we checked in was given a corporate room rate very different from mine 185€ vs 270€. When I pointed out the error, they refused to adjust the rate and blamed it on the travel agency. On top, to add insult to injury the lower room rate was a larger room. I've checked online tonight and the rates are still lower had I canceled and rebooked. This is simply dishonest management and I cannot recommend a hotel that does not honor business deals made with a company.

We stayed in this hotel for just two nights. As we were busy to see as much of the city as we could, we really didn't get a chance to spend that much time in the room. All of the front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful. We asked the night desk guy for a taxi cab for the following morning and it was waiting for us when we came down. We asked for a room with two single beds. When we entered the room, the beds were pushed together. Fortunately, they were not bolted down and we were able to push them apart. The rooms were nice, clean and modern. It was smaller than expected, but we didn't really spend too much time in the room, so it was fine for us. The hotel appeared to be in a good location. It wasn't far from most tourist spots. We traveled by foot, Uber and taxi. Our package included breakfast, however, we did not get a change to partake. Random: I did notice that the room had tons of outlets. I noticed because we had just came from London from a room that had only one outlet. The only negative thing I would say about the hotel is that it has a VERY SMALL elevator. It only hold two people. That was fine for me, but my friend would not ride it and took the stairs. Luckily, we were only one floor up. I would definitely stay there again. :)

3rd time staying at this hotel. It never fails to deliver the high standards you would expect. We booked direct for the best price via Melias own website. Friends travelling with us booked through booking.com and paid more...also booking.com cancelled the booking prior to their arrival. Book via the MELIA website to get the best deal and to ensure your room is booked
