Nice location with lots of possibilities to explore Paris by foot or using the metro. Nicely equipped and offering very friendly service. Especially very special needs connected to our breakfast diet were delt with really good. The private usage of the spa area is a nice idea even though so it is not always free to use. We enjoyed our stay really good.
The hotel was absolutely excellent and great for the money. They had a bottle of champagne in our room waiting on us and the room was stunning. Loved sitting on the balcony overlooking Paris. My only wish is that I had a longer stay. Thank you Hotel Mademoiselle!
Myself and my partner got back from our three night stay today. We went for a city break, to see the sights and eat good food. We were room only. However we were disappointed with our stay. The Location The location was disappointing. Whilst classed as central Paris, you must be prepared to walk and take the tube. (That or pay a heavy taxi fare). The closest station was Gare de Nord. To reach any destination for tourists e.g. The Eiffel Tower, Notre dam or the louvre, at least 30 mins on the tube. The English translation is not too great, but with a tube map is fine. Whilst the location was not a huge problem during the day, for food it was TERRIBLE. We spent an hour walking round to find a suitable place for an evening meal with not much avail. We first went to a sports bar where it was primarily French, we felt very uncomfortable in these surroundings, which was then made worse when the waitress was extremely rude when we questioned the menu. If you want fine dining this is not the location for you. We ended up getting the tube then at night to the St Michael area for better food and surroundings. It also must be added that the area around the hotel is not very tourist friendly. Service We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as the staff seemed friendly. However when we left the hotel for our first day, they asked for us to hand in our room card. We questioned why this was the case. They said for security, so they knew who was in the hotel. We were dubious but okay with this response. However, upon returning for the day we simply asked for the key back and the number WITH NO QUESTION REGARDING IDENTITY. Meaning that anyone could ask at the desk for a room key and give in the number, only to be handed a key. We were extremely disappointed at the laziness of such a simple task which would ensure safety for the whole hotel. We monitored this over our stay and this did not change. This is a reason alone why we would not return. We carried our passports with us at all times because of this. It should be made clear that we questioned this and all we got back was, 'we can assure you it's fine'. The room The room was fairly small but very clean. We could not complain with the room. The bed was big. The bathroom was slightly worn but again very clean. The tv was big and we also had access to an English news channel which we were happy about. For small children I would advise against the room as it is next to a road which can get loud at night, however again we did not have a problem with this. When we left the hotel on our final day, the staff followed us on to the street to ask why we had not checked out (check out was at 12), we left at 9. We said we were going for breakfast and would be back. It was a little uncomfortable as we felt as if we were staying at a persons house, who was checking up on us. When we then went to eventually check out, the staff then asked where our luggage was for them to look after it, however we were ready to leave for our flight. They then got rather funny at the fact we did not want to leave our luggage. We did not have food at the hotel, so cannot comment on this. The hotel and stay did not effect our trip and we had a throughly fantastic time. We also went to Disney land which was only an hour on the tube and very easy to reach.
This is a lovely hotel. It is fun as well as being convenient, comfortable and quiet as well as having excellent levels of service. It seems to absorb its guests so that it's a shock at breakfast to realise how many people are there! Speaking of which the breakfast is splendid with lots of choice and fresh ingredients. An ideal place from which to explore Paris being close to the Gare du Nord but off the main thoroughfares.
The staff here were lovely. We arrived on the day that Orly airport had its terrorist attack. We were on the runway there for 4 hours having flown in from Southampton. I e mailed the hotel to tell them we'd arrive later than planned. They replied and then on arrival at the hotel they'd upgraded us and we now had a room with a lovely small balcony. On the downside the lift could be slow, the wi if wouldn't let me in at first as there were too many users, and on my side of the bed there was no light switch BUT the charm of the staff, the fact that the hotel was so well placed near the excellent St Quentin food market and close to Gare du Nord plus the excellent breakfast made me give this 5 stars. Would recommend and would be very happy to stay here again.
Good place to stay when you are visiting Paris. Close to Gare du Nord which means easy travel anywhere more or less. Good staff and lovely little boutique rooms and nice breakfast. Nice part of the town.
small, quiet and within a 5 minute walk of Gare Du Nord...excellent place to stay when you in Paris for a short stay...it's also walking distance from Pigalle, Pompidou Centre, the canal and more...this is a no brainer
As we were only staying in Paris for one night, I wanted to make sure we stayed as close to the Gare du Nord as possible, so that we could make the most of the short amount of time we had and minimise how long we spent travelling from the airport to the hotel and back. I booked Hotel Mademoiselle after seeing how close it was and reading several positive reviews. After walking five minutes from the Gare du Nord, we arrived ahead of check out time so left our bags at reception. The staff were very helpful, and even though we hadn't checked in properly yet, we were told to help ourselves to complimentary coffee and pastries in the breakfast area. When we got to the room a bit later, it was exactly what we needed. I had booked a standard double room, and even though it was compact, it was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was more than adequate, with an overhead rainfall shower. There were coffee and tea making facilities, which came in handy in the morning as we had not booked to have breakfast. The dressing gowns and chocolates were also a lovely extra touch. When we checked out the next morning, we left our bags with reception to pick up in the afternoon before heading back to the airport. When we returned, we checked the train times back to the airport to find that there was a delay on the line. The receptionist was very helpful in explaining what was happening, and suggested alternative methods of getting to the airport in case we got to the station and the trains ended up being cancelled. All in all, I would not hesitate to book again for a longer trip. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was great value for money. This, and the excellent location of the hotel made it a great base for a whistle stop tour of the city.
The man at breakfast was lovely! And could have been more helpful! Plenty to choose from my 7 month old daughter even had bits to pick at as she's just started eating solid food! I would defiantly recommend this hotel !
This is a delightful hotel. Very lovely decor. Amazing little relaxation area that you go in just yourself. Would recommend. There was nothing I could fault. Staff were also very polite and helpful. I would definitely visit again
