Terrible traffic and weather conspired together making us miss the last Eurostar to London (why is the last train so early on a Saturday at 8pm?). Angrily we searched on line and this hotel cropped up. Being so close to Paris Nord which, let's face it is not the best part of town, we were expecting a grotty little back street hostel. On arrival we were so delighted by the welcoming and helpful staff, the decor and the room. In fact so taken by the place we decided to go down to the bar rather than go out for a drink and some grub. We had a platter to share and some drinks and felt less stressed than we were on arrival. Our room was clean and stylish with decent gowns, slippers, toiletries etc. It felt more expensive than what we had paid for. The bed was large and comfortable and we both had a good night. We did not take breakfast as we left very early to get our train, just 3 mins away. A lovely hotel, I recommend it highly. If you get stuck in Paris after missing the train like we did, then this place is as good as anywhere to bed down for the night.
we had a lovely room (105) a super king bed, with a lovely walk in shower in the bathroom. The breakfast was first class with plenty of choice, you could even boil your own eggs to your liking. The bar area was good. The service was good. The location of the hotel was good with plenty of local restaurants close by. There was even a local market just around the corner. The hotel was located close to the metro stations.
My friend and i were going to paris for 2 nights and after looking at where we wanted to visit we decided it would be preferable to stay near the train station. The buses were good from the station to the locations we wanted to visit. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor for 2 nights. We both enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very close to the station. As you exit the station you cross over the road and down a street, turn left walk for no more than 5 minutes cross over and you are there. The station itself is close to the bus lines, hence wanting that area. After a day of walking the firm beds were very much appreciated. i slept incredibly well. The shower room is lovely. We didn't find it noisy, especially for the location. Everything is very clean, and you get a kettle which in combination to the cornershop is very convenient considering the amount of tea i drink. There is a nice little courtyard for standing to smoke so you don't have to go into the street. I didn't find it to be a bad area at all. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very nice although a little expensive, although not too bad for room service. The wifi was good and there is a television. We really enjoyed our stay. If i go back to paris and want to be this side of the city i will definitely use this hotel again.
This hotel is located near two big Railway stations (Gare du Nord and Gare d'Est), The hotel is very easy to find. Very comfortable, with excellent breakfasts. But from the other side, you may feel like at home. If you add very friendly staff; you have full picture
Excellent Service, excellent staff. The hotel is fully restored, and still kept in an "not too oldfashiond" way. The food provided was excellent, and of course the wine in France is perfect. Highly recommendable hotel, just 400 m from Gare du Nord
Our train got cancelled, so we stayed here. Do not let them put you in the downstairs first room near desk. It was the worst night of sleep ive ever had. Men talking outside my window extremely loud until 10:30. Every 15 minutes or so a truck or car comes barreling down the street blasting music. At 3:45 you will be woken by the linen truck outside your window. Slamming his carts up the ramp. Yellow lights flashing and puerto rican music blasting at level 11. My window was held together with masking tape. Only to find out the next morning that there was a privacy wall to put down that nobody explained.
Had a most enjoyable trip. Rooms very comfortable and well. Staff friendly and food was fantastic. Will definitely be staying again when visiting friends. Very clean and efficient hotel. Think next time we will definitely be staying longer.
Wonderful Hotel with great service. I only stayed three days but was made to feel at home, station is less than an 5min walk and with a supermarket a couple of doors down. If I ever go back to Paris I would chose this hotel again.
Lovely hotel, conveniently located for Gard Du Nord and surrounding areas. Staff are very friendly, food and drink good and the Spa (sauna, steam, massage bed) that can be booked very welcome after a long day. Hard to beat for trip to Paris, business or leisure.
We stayed here for only one night, but would certainly use again. We had asked for a twin room, but were assigned a small double with a balcony, which would have been lovely, but as the sleeping arrangements were more important asked if a twin was available. We were immediately offered another room which, although it didn't have a balcony, was quieter as it was over the inner courtyard and far more spacious with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was fresh, with a wide choice which was constantly replenished. The spa area was very relaxing, with cushions to laze on, drinks and nibbles provided. The only negative is that reception tried to 'sell' us a private session for E20.00 each, which we thankfully declined as it turned out we were the only people using the area in any case.
