Hôtel Malte - Astotel4.0 out of 5.0

Spent 2 nights here and found the room to be perfect for our needs, clean and quiet. Happened to be there during a heat wave and while most places lacked air conditioning, our room was a comfortable temperature. The hotel offers a free open bar which served snacks and (nonalcoholic) drinks all day which was great. We were able to walk to all the landmarks but the louvre is the closest at about a 5-10 minute walk. Located on a nice quiet little street with lots of cafes and shops on it. Hotel was accommodating even after we had checked out, we had a long wait before our train and they held our luggage while we explored the city some more. Would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is situated in a great position, the layout is nice and cosy. The service is absolutely amazing: we had some business related issues, and the team at the desk was extremely helpful, beyond any expectations, and was able to support us in finding a solution.
Our trip to Paris with a twelve year old granddaughter on her first exploration was really facilitated by the location, the comfort and the helpful staff at Hotel Malte. Jean-Pierre in the breakfast room started our day with a sparkle each morning. We would recommend this accommodation to all types of travelers.
Back from a 4 night stay in a standard twin room. The hotel is lovely - very modern and snazzy décor and the staff are really helpful. The breakfast is a great buffet with some changes each day. It's centrally located in the Opera district and was just a short hop on a bus from Gare du Nord. The courtyard is nice as not all hotels have an outdoor space. The 'free buffet' was also good for drinks and snacks and we visited a couple of other hotels as we walked around Paris and it was handy to have somewhere where we could have a drink and a break. I would have given this 4.5 stars if I could - the room was small (but fine as not in there long) but the bathroom was really small. I'm not a large lady but it was still difficult to dry myself after a shower without ending up in the toilet or sink!
Great location for visiting the Louvre. The beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly. Paris is a rather large place, so having a place to relax after a long day is so nice. The rooms are rather small and having a place to store your large suitcases is difficult, but manageable. I loved the quaint feeling in this hotel. Very cute, very French.
Excellent location and great service. The personnel is excellent, the receptionist is a true gentleman. Only inconvenient in my stay there was that they were repairing the hotel and the lobby was closed.
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are a good enough size. Service is very helpful and accommodating. I had to stay up late to write some papers and having the coffee 24/7 was critical! Location was perfect - close to everything! Only constructive things worth noting is that 1) You cannot use the AC until some predetermined date they set; and 2) The hotel rooms' walls were pretty thin and so you can hear the next room over as well as the hallway. Overall the hotel was really great- especially for the price - and we would stay there again.
I was really scared being my first time traveling to Europe of what the hotel rooms would be like between size and cleanliness. This was an amazing surprise. In the US I only stay in hiltons and this could easily pass as a big hotel chain with the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. My friend and I had a room with two double beds and more than enough room for 2 full size suitcases. Bathroom was huge as well! Hands down the best part of the hotel is the free breakfast along with the "open bar" less alcohol from the afternoon through 2am... which is GREAT when you get back from a night of drinking! The food was great and all the coffee and croissants you could ever want. The hotel is a short beautiful walk through a garden to get to the louvre and major metro stop so you can get anywhere! Strongly recommend this hotel!
We started our family vacation in London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Berlin, as of know Malte Hotel has been an excellent hotel for its location, breakfast, afternoon drinks and snacks, usb iphone connector, comfort beds, clean bedsheets, excellent service, superior quality with the competition, I would definitely book another stay with Malte Hotel
Great central location. Free bar with drinks and snacks to end the day. Smiling and welcoming service at the desk and breakfast. Will come again. When I saw the hotel manager helping to clean the desks at morning breakfast, I understood when the great spirit comes from.
