Centrally located and just perfect

This apartment is centrally located to most of what a tourist would want to see in Paris. It is small, but well appointed and suited my needs perfectly. A woman staying alone, I felt safe in both the apartment and the neighborhood. Luisa, the property manager was easy to deal with and I would definitely stay here again.

2/10 Terrible

The a/c did not work; it was 93 degrees in Paris. This space was uninhabitable without air-conditioning. The check-in process was terrible. I sent a deposit seven days before for the apartment. I got a confirmation that it was received and paid for. But when I arrived, I was told they couldn’t let me in at 3 because they did not receive the deposit. I sent them the confirmation that I had paid. The owner was out-of-town. He didn’t answer the phone. When I sent the confirmation to the agency handling the apartment, I received an email that they would get back to me in 24 hours. Finally, an hour and half after the check-in time, I am allowed to go to the apartment only to find that no human could sleep there without the A/c . There was one small fan. To get to the double bed you can’t stand up because of the low ceiling. It was a disaster, I refused to stay there since they falsely advertised that there was a/c. I was told they would get someone to repair it. Where was I supposed to go in the meantime on this hot day? I asked for a refund and expect to get it. The neighborhood is great. There was a smell from the bathroom. I had to run around Paris looking for a hotel to stay - and couldn’t find one with 4 nights so I ended up staying at 2 places - beautifully air-conditioned.
