great place to stay easy access to metro and buses

The room is small but convenient and quiet despite being in the center of busy Street

The room was adequate for the money. Very reasonable cost for Paris.

I had an awesome experience staying at this hotel as a first time visitor to Paris. The hotel could not possibly be any closer to the metro or the market and there are some great cafés and restaurants nearby. I stayed first in an apartment and later in a studio and both rooms had very comfortable beds, all of the kitchen appliances and utensils one might need and ample space to store personal items and luggage. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel lobby was nice (it had a cool little coffee machine) and the wifi, a most important feature, was both fast and reliable.

Easy access to transportation, shoppes, restaurants

Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, location is convenient to Metro and shopping.

Hotel was satisfactory. It provided the simple needs of staying in a condo. While not decorated like a hotel, it supplies the basic needs of simple living. Keep in mind, while staying in Paris, it's highly unlikely the room would be utilized throughout the day. From that perspective, this place satisfies.

In the overall view of Paris hotels, this was a very good value stay (I hasten to add that I've seen the hotel advertised at much higher prices in busier periods). Place d'Italie is an excellent location, immediately next to the Butte aux Cailles, a charming residential quarter with an outstanding selection of restaurants and select shopping. The hotel itself is integrated into the Italie 2 commercial center, just across the street from where the Butte begins. In fact the rooms on one side of the hotel have view on the entrance gallery of the shopping center and the other on the street. Having had rooms on both sides I have a clear preference for the street, with its natural change of light and street life, rather than the artificial lighting and comings and goings of a commercial center. The hotel bills itself as an apartment hotel, which means that there are limited kitchen facilities (microwave, electric stovetop) and that maid service is twice per week. There is no maid service for stays of only a couple of days (it is available at extra charge). The only real weakness in the room (in my opinion) is that for a long-stay hotel, I would have expected some kind of comfortable chair. Hotel personnel is unfailingly kind and helpful.

Citadines is geared toward a business clientele and particularly guests that expect to stay for some time. For this reason they call it an "appartment-hotel" and don't offer the full range of services that one would expect in a classic hotel. Most important of these is that housekeeping is only provided once a week. Should a guest require more frequent housekeeping, it is available at extra charge. The rooms are well equipped with a small kitchen area and an adequate desk for working. Personally, I only stayed there because it was listed at a discount, the normal rate being above my usual budget. There is no restaurant, but there are plenty of them in the immediate, surrounding area. Staff is pleasant and helpful.
