Spent 7 days vacation with my family of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) in the 3 bedroom Villa (condo) at his location. Because we did not plan to spend the whole week in DisneyWorld and for money savings, this is a great option and setting for us. The 3 bedroom Villa include three bedrooms (of course), two full baths, one kitchen, one dining, one living room and a enclosed balcony (with a table and 4 chairs). All regular items for cooking are provided with utensils, various sizes of plates and cups. The location is also close to CVS, Walmart, a small outlets all within 5-15 minutes driving. We prepared our own breakfast on the daily basis. The hotel also provides its own activities for guests. Not sure if no ones else are interested, my wife and the two little girls were the only people went. It made them the VIPs of the day and the event host was wonderful and offered extra activities just for them. Rooms were cleaned and dished was done daily. Even when I washed the pot and kept them on the stove to dry, they still put in the dishwasher. lol One down side was that we were heavy coffee drinkers and we needed to ask for the bags of coffee to send to us from time to time. Extra point for the customer service. The website was a little confusing when we made reservation. In short, we ended up three reservation and actually only needed one "3 bedroom Villa". We were charged for missing the other two reservations. After understanding the situation, the hotel kindly removed the charges. (We were kindly of prepared if they insisted not returning the charges)
Our family (4 adults and 2 children) stayed at Imperial Palms for 2 weeks in February 2017. Property was nice, especially being able to go to the hotel for food and swimming. 3-bedroom villa was great for our size family. Loved the screened in porch and used it many times. Convenient location and easy to get to area restaurants. However, we did have several issues with the staff during our stay. Since we were there for 2 weeks we asked for additional shampoo, dishwasher soap and toilet tissue but we were told that if we used what we were given we had to go out and buy our own. Based on our stay at many other Marriott timeshare properties we have never run in to an issue like this. Also, when they changed our bed linens after the first week the sheets they put on the king-sized bed were "pilled." We waited more than 6 hours and had to call again before they finally came to replace them. (I understand this is a staff issue and not a property issue.) Staff at other Marriott properties have always gone over and above our needs and we certainly are not a demanding family by any means. The staff at Marriott Villas at Doral and Grande Vista far outshine the issues we had with the staff at Imperial Palms.
This is a comparison review that may make it easier to choose. I stayed at Imperial Palms last week, and in Sabal Palms less than 2 years ago. I stayed this week at Hilton Grand Vacations. In summary, I cannot imagine a bad stay at Imperial Palms. Staff was friendly and professional. You have access to all the other non-Imperial Marriott resorts on this very large property, and location is strategic for Disney resorts. Compared to Sabal: Our Sabal room 2 years ago was a 2 bedroom opposed to the 3 bedroom of the Imperial. But the Sabal wins hands down in room quality and design. This is mainly because the Sabal master bedroom was just so well designed, with a great master bath. The Imperial seemed to sacrifice the master bedroom to give you that extra bedroom. Sabal also wins in proximity to the Marriott Orlando Center fitness and spa. It is actually closer the it than even most Marriott World Center rooms. Imperial is too far from it, but still in walking distance for me. Third item was that Imperial really does not have its own activities. You will have to shuttle those kids to the other resorts for that. Other than those 3 things, Imperial Palms is a good choice. I will go back to Sabal before Imperial next time. Compared to Hilton Grand Vacations at Sea World (HGV): This is where Imperial Palms really wins out. Because Marriott was smart and allows Imperial guests to have access to facilities at Marriott world Center and also Sabal and Royal pool areas and activities, they make the resort feel quite big. HGV Sea World feels so small in comparison. The master at Imperial was a disappointment compared to Sabal but beat out the master at HGV's 3 bedroom. However, the other 2 bedrooms beat out Imperial because one HGV room has its own refrigerator and wet bar. For some reason HGV was designed for multiple adult parties, not families with kids. Imperial loses out of the distance and inconvenience of going to Marriott World Center is important. I am a fast walker and enjoy the exercise so not an issue for me. Imperial's pool and bar are lame in comparison. HGV is a short walk to their much better pool area and bar. Imperial also wins out on their market place. Though it does not have a lot, it does have enough, and is much cheaper. HGV charges a premium for all their market items. For instance, a bottle of the same wine was 14 at Imperial and 30 at HGV. HGV wins on Sea World tickets. They have a special discount that saved us over $75. Imperial did not appear to have any real discounts to anything. HGV wins if Universal Studio visits. I4 traffic from Disney exits to Orlando are a nightmare. If Universal is your focus, and also Sea World and International drive attractions, the HGV location is strategic. You can also walk to a CVS, a 7-11, and a Bone Fish Grill in several minutes at HGV. At Imperial, you will have to get in your vehicle. In all, I will choose Imperial over HGV, and Sabal over Imperial. The Master bedroom should feel like a special room. It only does that at Sabal. HGV totally goofed Up their design. Imperial had 2 separated instance with roaches. HGV had none. But, it's Florida. Not sure a resort can control that. Imperial extended my checkout until 11. The front desk expected me to be gone at 10, and I explained that they extended the time. The front desk person unfortunately sounded annoyed, which lacked professionalism. As well, the front desk generally had miscommunication between each other. This also happened at checkin and other instances. They should certainly fix their miscommunication issues, which is why I can't give them a 5. I am a Marriott Platinum Premier member and travel extensively all over the US at all Marriott brands.
We recently stayed here for a week, trading through Interval. The location is really close to Disney, plenty of parking and smooth check in. The three bedroom villa was huge, pleasantly surprised! The room was quiet and comfy beds! We used the shuttle and also walked to the world resort and used the pool and food court on botton level, this was a great perk! Highly recommend!
We are in town for my sister-in-law's graduation and we are currently staying at the Imperial Palms Villas. We have been very impressed. Our unit is a spacious, fairly updated, three bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and laundry room. The entire property seems clean and the staff have been nice and helpful. There is a small pool at the end of our building, a larger pool at the guest registration center, and we have access to the huge pool / water slide area at the Marriott resort next door. I haven't had a chance to get onto the golf course on the property, but it looks like a beautiful course that I would enjoy to play in the future. The property also includes tennis courts with basketball goals, and other outdoor amenities.
Loved this hotel. We booked a 3 bedroom Villa, with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, dining room, living room, screened in porch - more space than we really needed. The hotel has pools on their grounds, but you also have full access to the Marriott World Center, pools, restaurants and other services. There is also a shuttle that will take you between the two hotels, free of charged. They don't charge resort fees, or parking fees. The hotel was a very short drive to Disney World. Will definitely be back.
We were a group of 4 ladies seeing the sights of Walt Disney World for the first time. The Marriott Imperial Palms was a perfect location with all the amenities you could ask for. We reserved the 3 Bdrm unit and it was spacious, well appointed, clean and met all of our needs. This was a vacation we will long remember and this Marriott was perfect.
We have exchanged through II several times for a Marriott property and have had excellent pampered experiences. This marriott fell a little short of the others. We arrived late in the evening and checkin went smoothly. We received a ground floor unit. The unit was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the furnishing was good. Some of the things did look a little worn like the toaster oven and the stove. The unit was huge with plenty of room for the 4 of us, two adults and two older teens. One bedroom was the master with a bathroom attached and king and walkout to porch, another one had two singles and another one had a queen and a pullout couch and had a door to get to the main bath. Our pool was small but rarely anyone was there so we felt like ti was private. It was dirty a couple of times though and we had to skim it ourselves. The hot tub was great but wasn't hot the last three days we were there (told front desk about it several times) so we had to venture farther to the royal palms hot tubs that were crowded and farther. The pool at the Royal palms was bigger. The staff around the resort were very friendly but the front desk staff not so much. We had the sprinkler outside our master bedroom come on during the night and hit our window full blast waking us several nights. It took a few complaints and a couple of nights to resolve it. I needed a non feather pillow which was immediately resolved. The last few days of our stay our phone light kept blinking and we had no messages. Front desk said they had no idea why and then two days later said it was the whole resort with the problem, but others we talked to didn't have the problem. It was never resolved. Not a big deal but since we live out of the country we kept checking for messages just in case their was an emergency at home so just annoying There were a few activities but most had a fee attached. The condo was close to everything. We ventured up to the World Centre one night for the laser show. It was very nice but super busy and my husband couldn't use our room card to buy a drink. We took the shuttle which was very efficient.
This Marriott property is really nice. We are a family of 5 and the location, the space - 3 bedrooms with a nice sized shower and huge soaking tub in master, nice sized deck with screened in porch that actually fits a good sized table and chairs for us all to eat comfortably, nice living room and dining room and big kitchen with huge counter. The other 2 bedrooms shared a great sized bathroom with standard tub/ shower. A large laundry room helped us keep towels and clothes and bathing attire clean and dry at all times. The pool onsite pools are nice. What we really enjoyed in the walking distance to the Marriott World hotel with the water slides and huge pool and restaurants. There is a shuttle that goes from here to there as well, but it truly is easy walking distance as well. It was nice to spend a day hanging out at the large facility and then coming home to quiet, and roomy homey feel of the condo. Lucien at the Concierge desk helped us to save money on our park tickets and was a great resource for finding a great sports bar/ brewery for the March Madness watchers in our family.
We were a group of 8 ladies aging from 23 - 64. We checked in on a Friday, the room wasn't quite ready so took the shuttle over to the Marriott World Center for a poolside lunch. My only negative of our stay was that the front desk was suppose to call/text when our room was ready and they didn't. We ate, roamed around World Center for a bit and shuttled back. Once back, we napped in the lobby for nearly an hour before I checked in with the front desk and yes, our room was indeed ready. We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit with a living room, dining room and kitchen which was plenty big for our party. Everyone we encountered was more than pleasant and went out of their way to greet us. We used the main pool on a Sunday which was not crowded at all. The store in the main building was complete in their offerings of drinks, snacks, fruit and pre-packaged meals as well as suntan lotions and basic toiletries. The location is perfect for a Disney vacation and a short Uber ride to the Universal Parks. This was our second stay in the Marriott complex and we look forward to our next visit.
