Checked in early. Don't expect quick check-in as problems with printers, etc. They have a unmentioned $50 incidental fee that is supposed to be refunded. Not sure if it is as they were unable to print out my receipt at checkout saying it was because I had booked through a different site. The problem there, is that THEY were charging that fee, NOT the booking site and the Mgr couldn't take the time to address me. We had waited over 10 minutes and she never showed as we had a Dr appt. The rooms are new, but one of the phone plugs by the bed was broken already. Walk in shower. Large t.v.. Blackout curtains. To access the parking lot, turn on the street BEFORE the hotel to access it in back. Breakfast was okay. Premade omelets, pancake machine (they didn't look appetizing), pastries, cereal, sausage, yogurts, fruit. They could use some salsa or hot sauce for the omelets. The brightest spot is they do have a complimentary shuttle that will take you up to 3 miles away. We used it for supper and the driver was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, and was a joy to talk to. Very polite and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask him for eating suggestions. He enjoys his food and will gladly help you. There isn't many close places to eat so use the shuttle to save hassles as it runs until 11 pm. We will try this location again to see if it improves as it has only been open a couple of months.
I stayed at this hotel with my son for a mini vacation, our first time to Omaha. Not only is this hotel brand new with the fluffiest beds in the world, the staff here is unparalleled! They treated us like family from the moment we walked in. Friendly and kind would be the greatest understatement. Caring is the first thing that comes to mind. As a single mom, I felt like I had a second home for a few days. Their shuttle service was gracious and prompt; and the drivers, especially Lovell were extraordinary. At the front desk, Robbie was the kind of employee any organization should be fighting to get and keep. He went above and beyond to take care of my son and I. A true superstar of service; caring and kind, with a big dash of friendly fun. An amazing hotel experience!!!
First of all, let me agree with everyone else who mentions how atrocious the parking situation is . It is bad and there are not near enough spaces. We made sure to be back in the lot by 6pm each night of our 3 night stay, otherwise we would have had to have used metered parking on the surrounding streets. From that point we would use the hotel shuttle for our evening activities. And might I add, the driver was great and even rescued my phone which i had accidentally left sitting in the seat and brought it back to me at the restaurant he had dropped us of at earlier. Thats what I call great service! Now for the hotel itself: This property is fairly new as it opened in February of '19 , so still has that new feel and look. Our room (King Suite) was roomy with a nice couch, and chair as well as a desk and chair. The TV was a good size and it was easy to hook up the fire stick to. There were plenty of places by each side of the bed for charging electronics. The bathroom was clean and had a nice walk in shower with glass doors. Beware though, if you dont get your morning shower taken fairly early, you wont get the pleasure of hot water. With this being a new hotel I wouldn't have thought that would ever be a problem, but it was considering my experiences well as the chatter in the breakfast area. All the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, although upon check-in, the woman working tried to charge us for prepaid rooms. That was a quick fix when I asked another staff about it later. The breakfast area staff, on the other hand, were not friendly. That individual seemed so overwhelmed she couldn't even speak, and when she did it was not pleasant. We always came down an hour before breakfast ended, and it always seemed as if they hadn't realized that they would need as much food as they did, so things were always out. In fact, on our final morning we were not able to eat at all because everything was out and the only thing getting filled was the bacon. We waited 20 minutes and then decided to go eat somewhere else. My husband was upset because he was only able to get the yummy sweet cinnamon rolls on one occasion. Oh, and they don't provide free cookies in the lobby like most Holiday Inn Expresses that we have stayed at either. All in all, they are doing some things right, but still need to get some areas figured out or they are going to lose business. The hotel is convenient to area attractions and a lot are within walking distance. The shuttle will take you within a 3 mile radius. I would stay here again if they had
We stayed at this fairly new hotel for our son’s baseball tournament during the College World Series. Hotel was very clean and beds very comfortable. The staff were very friendly- particularly the woman that was always working during the breakfast service. This is the hotel on Farnham- so it is about 1 mile from the baseball stadium. If you want to be in the thick of all of the action - this may not be the hotel for you. I know that we and many of the other families appreciates the fact that we were away from all of the noise.
Our family had the best experience here. On our way, we had trouble with hotels.com and they wouldn’t help us with correcting our reservation. We were already almost 2 hours into our drive and Robbie helped us immediately over the phone and told us not to worry, they would be able to assist us and made sure our check in went smoothly. We went from panic mode to complete shock that he was so helpful in working with getting everything corrected for our stay. The staff also made our trip to the Omaha zoo a success, the shuttle and their drivers were great and always timely. The shuttle also took us to and from restaurants in old market and made it so easy to navigate the area without having to load up each time. Staff recommended great places to eat and visit during our stay and really made our trip. The breakfast was enjoyable each day as well and loved that they have coffee available all day! Thank You Holiday Inn and staff for making our family trip one to remember, we will be back! :)
We were counting on two shuttles running every day during the World Series. Today they shared a shuttle with a “sister” hotel. We waited 40 minutes for it. It’s a 30 minutes walk uphill on the way back. Only one coffee house across the street for food. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. CWS advice: Choose a closer hotel for the same price.
I spent the night here in early May as I was in town for a business conference. Wow! Great place to stay! Very modern! Check-in was quick and painless! Many thanks to Krisztina and Kortney were taking great care of me! Breakfast the next morning was outstanding!
Stayed at the Holiday Inn express and suites in a king size suite for 3 nights. Decent size room that was well equipped with all the basics, a decent TV, a good size bathroom and even a microwave and fridge. My main impression was that the place was clean and well kept (the hotel seems very new) so hopefully they can maintain the standard. Breakfast selection was ok and included cold and hot food. I'd imagine it would get boring for any more than 3 days. There is a small gym and pool, which is fine for a short stay. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall, very enjoyable and comfortable for a short stay in Omaha. Would definitely recommend to others.
...I wish I could give this place 5 stars it was clean and staff were excellent-efficient, friendly, and helpful. The decor and rooms are new and still look it. All wonderful! That is where it ends though...we barely slept. The AC sounded like a jet engine every time it turned on. It was too warm without it so every 30 minutes or so...jet engines. Sleepless night
We were in town for a concert at the Orpheum. Hotel has a complimentary shuttle to & from the Orpheum. I know it goes to other events/locations also. At time of this writing, the hotel is only 2-3 months old. There is still some construction going on. Comfortable king size bed, and a nice selection of pillows. Hot breakfast. Friendly staff at front desk both when we checked-in late evening and at check-out the next morning. Shuttle driver was courteous and prompt.
