Williamsburg Lodge, Autograph Collection

Loved the stay and that it was so close to the city and we would walk or take the free shuttle. Having access to the spa was great, we loved the outdoor seating with the open fire in the evening. Rooms are spacious and very clean and everything worked perfect.

Although I arrived early, my room was ready. The check in and out process was quite smooth. The rooms resembled the pictures online. This was a good decision.

The lodge was great. It is a block from Colonial Williamsburg, so it is so convenient. It had everything we needed for a quality stay.

We were there to take part in a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. It was a perfect location, with lots of things for everyone to do. The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly. I understand Marriott has just bought the whole property and that weekend was the transfer. I am sure Marriott will make some changes, but all for the good. I would stay there again.

Lovely and safe, good service, convenient and friendly. Great pools- one noisy, one "tranquility" and nice grab-n-go breakfast in morning make it easy to get out early to Colonial Williamsburg

Overall, a very lovely, clean hotel with EXCEPTIONAL staff. The property is quite large and sometimes difficult to navigate, but within walking distance to historical sites and restaurants and shops.

Location fantastic for W&M parents weekend, but physical layout of hotel is crazy. Had to walk outside and then inside three times to get to my room. Gym and pool? Go outside and down the block in one direction. Parking? Go outside then inside again. Zero room amenities - really, for what they charge per room, how about a hair dryer or a bottle of water? By they time they did bring the hair dryer, my wife's hair had been dry for quite a while. I could go on. Give it a pass.

Comfortable, nice atmosphere. Would return. Pool area nice, family and adult pools a plus

Whenever I visit my student at William and Mary, this is my go to hotel for quality, price and convenience. It is a beautiful and easy walk from the hotel to the school. You get Colonial Williamsburg flavor without breaking the bank. And as a special treat, there is the Spa at the Williamsburg Inn across the street which is delightful.

Williamsburg Lodge was an absolutely gorgeous facility. The property is designed to feel like it is part of history, but with all the modern amenities. Located right within historic Williamsburg, everything was within walking distance. The concierge was very helpful with tickets, programs, events and other information. Be sure to mention if you are an educator. You will receive a nice discount to certain events. We loved our stay! Would definitely go back!

The lodge is located perfectly for easy access to restaurants, historic sites, and the golf course. The location made the trip. We parked the car and other than going to Jamestown did nothing but walk. Only wish there were more fireplaces (or couches around the one fireplace in the lounge).

This is my go to hotel when visiting my student in Williamsburg. Comfortable, convenient, and accommodating. It has become my home away from home.

I live a hour away from Williamsburg, so I really just stayed the night while going to a great restaurant nearby. I got to the room and the furniture was old vintage looking, things I have in my own house. Small tv, no refrigerator, I expected higher quality bedding, decor, furniture (I've never been to a 4 star hotel, so my expectations were high). We did ask for some glasses and a bottle opener and received a rose when they brought it to us which was a nice touch. Compared to the Hyatt, I liked the Hyatt better and it was cheaper than this hotel. This hotel is a plus only because of location.

Convenient and clean with pleasant, colonial atmosphere

Really nice stay in a comfortable room. Excellent location v close to central attractions. Easy access to free hop on hop off bus circling the main venues. V friendly staff who were always willing & able to help. Would certainly stay again or recommend.

We especially liked the children's table they had in the lobby. My granddaughter, age 5, enjoyed playing with another child. I would recommend that they refurbish the games and organize the shelves. that part was a bit ramshackle. We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open for lunch on the day of our departure, a Sunday.

The rooms were very clean, the amenities are fantastic. For the most part, the staff went out of their way to be nice - except the front desk. One lady was nice at the front desk; the rest were very snippy. One was downright rude. Every day she was rude. I wanted to say to her, lady I don't live here, that's why I am asking you where the spa is; or where to buy tickets, etc, but I do not speak to staff the way she spoke to me. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff at the lounge was nice and the ambiance and lounge singer was very inviting, comfortable and a very nice way to wind down the day. The location is in the middle of downtown Williamsburg. The hotel is large, if you need to know where something in the hotel is, just don't ask the front desk.

You might be able to find a room a bit cheaper elsewhere, but the hotel offers great features and savings on admission to Colonial Williamsburg. Worth the extra money.

Our room was clean, quite and the bed sleep very well. Had several meals at Traditions and was not disappointed. The food was excellent as well as the wait staff.

the hotel is right in the main historic district. Soldiers actually gather the children and parents at 9:30 am and march them to the town square. The rooms are clean, the grounds are clean the staff is obviously trained to smile and be over polite. its a bit expensive but you cant go wrong at this hotel.
