We loved everything but sometimes the parking lot was full and we had to park at the other end. other than that, loved the place.
The property and rooms have been refurbished. It is beautiful, extremely well maintained. We have stayed at Ford's Colony many times and will continue to do so.
Beautiful setting. Could have more parking.
Large rooms , ample amenities - quite and friendly environment . Best hotel ever that I have stayed in 22 years of my travel history .
Great queit property with lots of amenities. Room was spacious and the bed and pillows were super comfortable.
The movie theater was a nice unique amenity. Also our toddlers loved being next to the pool with the splash pad.
Upon arrival we tried to upgrade our reservation and were told by the front desk that they don’t handle that sort of thing. We were told to call the national reservation number. Fair enough, saved us some money. More trouble than what it was worth. Went to our rooms. I’m in a wheelchair and recovering from two different cancers. We just wanted a nice little get-away. The shower seat had mold on it. I couldn’t use it. Two people were sent up to clean it. They were very nice but the smell of the chemicals was too strong for me and we had to leave, there was no way I could sleep in that room. Our other room had bunches of hair on the bathroom floor - yuck. In this time of Covid and based on the description of the property on the website, I expected clean and sanitized rooms. After driving more than two hours to get there, my husband had to repack our van and drive more than two hours to get us back home. What a disappointing and frustrating experience.
This property was lovely. And we were thrilled with the number of things we could do should we want to do them!
Really good customer service, friendly staff. Clean, cute, cozy.
Pros: Nice setting, nice staff Cons: Old, small room, dim lighting, noisy, no sound proofing...we stayed on the first floor, sounded like elephants walking on ceiling every morning starting at 6:30 am. We did not sleep. Cleaned room, but did not give us more coffee. Bathroom smelled like a sewer. Awful smell.
My son loved all of the activities and splash pad.
Perfect place for families with kids. Staff was incredibly friendly and has all the amenities so you don’t have to leave and can relax. We will definitely be back.
Landscaping and grounds are splendid, and the rooms with private screened porch are perfect.
The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained.
Loved it! Wonderful! Delightful staff and accommodation.
Best place we have stayed at near Williamsburg. We vacation in the Williamsburg area 6 to 8 times a year, we will be stt here again
Beautiful. Cheap. Breathtaking . When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place. It was that nice. Scenery, botanicals, interior decorating... down to the maid service. Was fantastic
